  Thanks Sally.
  Russ-
I'm a visual person. When I look at a person, the events tell me what I have
found, or not found. If I put it in as a death source, I can't easily see that
I have found the death certificate.

I don’t know but why would you make an event for a death certificate. The
death certificate would be a source for the death event.

I did a search on the phone number and it is, according to my search,
located in Naples, Florida. Not that I am an overly intelligent fellow, my

Also, I really appreciate the webinars, I am going to miss the free

I figure somewhere near Salt Lake City where most of these companies are
from.

The number on my cell phone is: 1-866-641-3297. Since it's a toll free
number, it could be from anywhere or a bogus number that can't be called
back. I've found this to be true for a lot of other calls I've gotten where
the number on the caller idea is not a real number for the company.

[LegacyUG] one father many children

2010-09-09 Thread robert coburn
I'm not sure if my question is appropriate for the user group or not. If it
isn't please forgive me this is my first post.
I watched a news report several days ago concerning a sperm donor who had
fathered at least 15 children (several sets of twins) with different women.
The father was identified only by a donor number- no name. It seems like it
could get really messed up. Would each mother would have a phantom donor
spouse with the children from that union listed or would the children only be
listed as adopted by the original husband and spouse? Or is there another
solution?
I guess that the same questions would apply for an egg donor.
There is a donor sibling registry and the link is
http://www.donorsiblingregistry.com/ .

How would a professional genealogist handle this in Legacy?
