Re: [LegacyUG] If you are having problems updating
Success! I noted in one of the posts that a recommended method to get the 339 update to install was to *run Windows 10 in Safe Mode*. While it was a bit tedious to get it into Safe Mode, once I got it there, the Legacy uninstall was trivial. This process avoided any issue regarding Windows security. Thanks for all the comments regrading this issue, one of which worked for me. Re: [LegacyUG] If you are having problems updating
I have always wanted to be a 1% er.I am wondering why this load is causing all the grief. I don't think I have ever seen this much kerfuffle over a legacy update before. Right click the installation file and Run as Administrator. On Thu, Jan 23, 2020 at 11:26 Michael Christiaens wrote: > Sorry. Re: [LegacyUG] If you are having problems updating
Sorry. I must be in that 1% I shut off Windows Defender and SmartScreen, but it still does not install. The other suggestion I saw was to run Windows 10 in Safe Mode to install. Why do you folks make it so complicated? The concept of installing an update was very simple for a long time. Now it is not the least bit simple.
