After following Steps, Helppage is not opened.

(1) File > Wizards > Presentation... 
 --> Open Presentation Wizard.
(2) Press Help button on Presentation Wizard.
 --> Open Swriter/modules/simpress/ui/assistentdialog/nextPage2Button. but,
this page is described "There is currently no text in this page. ".

Swriter/modules/simpress/ui/assistentdialog/nextPage2Button wiki help is not
exist.

A collection of 8 locales of Arab countries.

Hi,

LibreOffice misses some locale settings for different Arab countries, which is
most important when it comes to currency settings.

I have compiled 8 additional locales in xml files following this commit* and I
have attached them along this ticket.

First of all sorry if I post this on the wrong list, but it seems to be a
cross issue.

I am looking through all the open issues in Gerrit, and it would be really
helpful, to have an indication
of whether or not the submitter has commit access to the repo.

Having an indication (e.g. a * next to the user), would help identify who
are new users, that may need
more mentoring.

Empty cells not always treated as zero in formulas

“Empty” cells that are empty as the result of a formula are not treated as zero
in formulas referencing them, but throw an #VALUE! error instead.

Simple sample (see attached spreadsheet)
Cell A1: =1*B1
Cell B1: =IF(0,"","")

Cell A2: =1*B2
Cell B2: 

Cell A3: =1*B3
Cell B3: =B1

Cell A4: =1*B3
Cell B4: =B2

Result:
Cell A1 and A3 display #VALUE!
Cell A2 and A4 display 0

Expected Result:
Cell A1 to A4 display 0

Hope this is easy to fix as this is preventing me from migrating me to
LibreOffice (from OpenOffice); lots of my spreadsheets contain empty cells as
the result of a formula that are later again referenced in other formula.

Note: I tested this with LibreOffice 3.3.0, 3.6.7.2, 4.0.0.1, 4.4.6.3, and
5.0.2.2. All except 3.3.0 exhibit this behaviour so it is a problem that was
introduced quite early on.

Looking into the file, K2 has the value '0'.

The difference between 3.6 and the new versions is that 3.6 always does an
auto-calculate at opening while the new versions has an option to do that at
opening to avoid large calculation in that moment with large spreadsheets.
Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Formula/Recalculation on file load, putting
both with Always recalculate and works like in 3.6.

While no any precedent of K2 is changed then it is not recalculated. But
changing the value in a precedent like F2 it is recalculated.

Hard recalc solves the issue because it forces a wholw recalculation of the
spreadsheet.

Maybe th file was saved in a LibreOffice with Auto-calculate disable.

OR() function only return two values 0 or 1 so there is no need for to compare
with 1.

Creating a Pie chart where some of the rows or columns (whichever way round the
data / names are) are blank makes a chart where there are blank labels with
colours assigned to them. This means that if selecting a dataseries with a lot
of blanks in it the colours are quickly used up and start repeating meaning
that you end up with a chart with no proper colour variation in it and a lot of
blank colours in the legend.

Query1 calculates the Sales Tax Amount payable on each transaction.

I use a query to calculate the sales tax amounts to be paid on every
transaction.
All field properties in the relevant table/s are correct and stable. The query
works fine with all columns being displayed according the their relevant
properties as set in the tables but the calculated column (amount in $ times
rate 15/100) is displayed in numeric form with only one decimal instead of
currency like the Amount column. Using "Column Format.." to set values to
currency and right aligned works fine but with no option to save the changes
which means every time the query is run the column is again displayed with the
numeric values. The changes made with "Column Format.." just won't stick.

The file path given below will probably serve no purpose and I am unable to
paste the query result.

Could it be a Ghostscript bug?
Indeed, I don't find any official docs (or perhaps missed it) indicated that 0
can't be a legal value for Miter limit.

Also I noticed that line width was at 0. If changing to not 0 value, Miter
limit is different from 0. By taking a look from
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/drawinglayer/source/processor2d/vclmetafileprocessor2d.cxx#448,
I can understand why.

OpenGL details

Just recently upgraded to 5.0.2.2 from 4.3.7.2 and presentations that I created
in 4.3.7.2 which had Fade-in slide animations are plagued with a slide flicker.
The flicker is a split second flash of the previous slide at the end of the
transition.  This makes it completely unusable.

I thought it might be an issue with incompatibility between the older version
fade-in and the newer one, so I removed the fade-in slide transition from the
original and re-created the transition with the new version Fade Smoothly. The
new version has the same problem. I have tested many of the transitions and the
flicker appears using Fine Dissolve, Fade Through Black, Fade Smoothly,
Rochade, Turn around, Turn down – there maybe others that I have not tested but
these are for sure.

I'm on an iMac running Yosemite:

a cell with a formula is never empty, it has an empty string, but cell is not
empty.

LibreOffice have became more restrictive about how strings are treated in
calculations. I think only direct references with no dubious conversion in
number are treated as such. 

In the last versions there is an option on how treat an empty string for
calculations.

Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Formulas/Detailed calculation settings -
Treat empty string as zero.

You can also involve the reference with N() function.

For what it's worth, access to password protected documents is the single
feature that would get me to start using this application. I have a small
number of documents that I'd like to store in various "cloud" services (Google
Drive, Dropbox, etc.). Some are spreadsheets, some regular documents, but all
either are, or could be, handled nicely by Libreoffice. I could use a general
encryption package like Boxcryptor, but password protecting individual
documents would be a lot more convenient for me. Thanks!

Thank you for explain different between recalculation in LO 3.6 and later. Now
I understand a part of behavior. Now I know, that the example file is confused.
I try to describe problem (see you my initial report):

1. I import a csv file into LO.
2. I copy a head of the table by clipboard into the table. Formulas are part of
that head.
3. I 'spread' formulas by mouse over all data rows

... AND IN THIS MOMENT THE BEHAVIOR IS DIFFERENT FOR BOTH FORMULAS:

- The first formula is NOT RECALCULATED during the spread over a data rows and
value in cells is ZERO (false value).

- The second formula IS RECALCULATED CORECTLY during the spread and cells have
directly the right value.

*All* options under Tools->Options.. are global options, meaning they are saved
in the user profile. In Calc you get an extra feature that grid settings are
also saved to the spreadsheet file, so it will look the same when opening on a
different computer, but that's it. So there is no bug here.

If you want to hide the grid for a particular sheet, it's better to use the
per-sheet setting found under View->Grid Lines for Sheet.

When I disabled rendering using OpenGL (Settings > LibreOffice > View > Use
OpenGL for all rendering) images were correctly rendering in the produced PDF
file. You can try the file attached to the duplicate Bug 94986 with that option
enabled.

Used when manual page breaks are added to a sheet (Sheet > Insert Page Break)

0x808080 (Gray) - CALCPAGEBREAKAUTOMATIC

It is the same reason as described in Bug 60539 (for column-width). Formatting
of a query is saved nowhere inside the Base-file. You could change the format
when opening the query, but that is all. The only way to see the right
formatted field is to create a form with a tablecontrol.

This bug appears in all LO-versions and in all systems.

If you will only see the format inside the query (and won't change the value in
any other way), you could change the SQL-code to something like this:
'N$'||( "Amount" * "Rate" ) / 100||'0' "VAT Amout"
... but be careful. This changes the result to a sting.

I will set this as an ask for an enhancement.

Confirmed. Win10 GTX 970 version 5.xxx slow scroll and slow draw on windows
hide/unhide. HW accel. checkbox in options is unavailabe. On 4.x version
evrything is ok, but if you check OpenGL use checkbox then libreoffice wont
start.

The issue is in relation with the use of STYLE() function inside conditional
format. Not using it in there solves the issue.

Rotation text option affects how graphics are partially or completely hidden.

But resetting to default the whole sheet doesn't solve the issue for the
mislead position of the graphics in preview.

I can confirm that the VISIO file can't be zoomed out (so that in this example
the edges are shown fully), if that is the bug. Reproduced using
5.1.0.0.alpha1.

True, but I knew of no other way of creating an empty value when using a
formula than by using the empty string.

I understand why LibreOffice has become more strict, and in general this is a
good idea. It just bit me a bit hard in this case. And you're right,
LibreOffice still does treat the completely empty cell as zero (Heck, even a
cell with a simple formula like =A6 where cell A6 is empty is displayed as 0).

Awesome! This fully solves my issue. I did check all the available options, but
hadn't looked under the “Details…” (doh!)

Nice! I didn't know this function yet and will use it in the future (so I can

Fully agree, sorry to have bothered you! Your response, and the way LibreOffice
is heading in its development, has further convinced me to fully migrate to

The field "LastUpdated" of table "PEP" is formatted as English(USA): MM/DD/YY.
So you have to input '10/29/15' for the 29th October 2015. This input works for
me with LO 5.0.3.2

Regional and language options of LO could not change language options inside a
database, which is created with other language options.

Please set this bug to WORKSFORME, if this description will solve your problem.

Html-file with "display:condition;" in second row

Open the attached *.html-file.
Shows "display:condition;" in the second line.
Now open the *.odt-file.
Second line of the odt-file is written in a section. This section should be
displayed with a condition, if it will be opened in a global document.

The *.html-file shows this inside the text, but it shouldn't appear when
exporting an *.odt-file to *.html-file.

Separately selected shapes example

In draw/impress when I select not side by side shapes at the same time, it
looks like I selected all the shapes between them or they are combined.
What I expect to see is border dots of only selected shapes.
What I see is those shapes look like one combined shape.

In the attachment I selected the rectangle on bottom left and the ellipse.
They are not combined just selected together.

I think you can solve this using the color you like for every serie.

In Data ranges you can select a range for the Fill color.
