[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58553] FORMATTING: border style none for embedded pictures not working
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58553 Joren De Cuyper joren.libreoff...@telenet.be changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |trivial Priority|medium |low --- Comment #3 from Joren De Cuyper joren.libreoff...@telenet.be --- No need to sorry. I'm glad you take some time replying and working with LibreOffice. Thanks for that! (In reply to comment #2) (In reply to comment #1) I think this is not a bug. If you select 'none' as Style ... there will be no border line at all. For what instance would you like to use a transparent border? One use-case could be to create a gap between the image an the rest of the elements of the document. Although for text elements this can also be done via the Wrap - Spacing function... When I select 'none' as Style, the preview on the left of the window shows that there is no border at all. This is not 100% correct. The preview shows different symbols for Line arrangement: set no borders and Line arrangement: set all four borders: style: - none - I can confirm that now (sorry I missed that first) But even if this function is meant to do nothing then it is also a bug, because a function that does nothing is obviously completely nonsense. I can agree that In this case - none - should be completely removed from the list of selectable border styles. Otherwise I think this is for some people a handy feature (because they don't know how to use the left pane of the 'border' tab. If you aren't aware of the presence of the 5 'Default Line Arrangements', this could be a easy 'workaround' for them. This is not an easy 'discussion'. I'll rest this bug status to 'unconfirmed', so another QA (quality assurance) worker can look at it. Otherwise I'll lower the priority to 'trivial', 'low' because of the flowchart https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/0/06/Prioritizing_Bugs_Flowchart.jpg. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58622] EDITING: Missing space after the number and point (regression)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58622 --- Comment #5 from Marco Menardi mme...@mail.com --- I'm puzzled with this bug! First, I don't have (and probably you don't too) Helvetica font in my GNU/Linux installation. Just loading your document in Libo 3.6.2.1 and 4.0beta2 make a difference since i.e. Foreward paragraph is rendered different (spacing is a bit wider in 4.0 so lines end with different words since word wrap happened before). So if I load the document in Windows where Helvetica font exists, 3.6.x and 4.0 behave the same and the exported pdf is the same (see image attached). If I load the document in GNU/Linux, they are completely different even inside LO, so of course exporting in pdf can be any better. I've loaded the text in 3.6, selected all the text, Formatting - Remove direct formatting, then produced a pdf from 3.6 and 4.0 and diff-pdf. Then are almost identical, except the - wordwrapping, and the bottom paragraph on page 2 (Default’ services, using an Agile approach...) that 4.0 puts on next page due to the fact that word wraps the above line at business producing one more line than 3.6. In short I can't confirm the 10. issue you are raising, but I'm surfacing a different behaviour when fonts are not present in the guest OS, and also in some circumstances. A friendly suggestion / warning: you'd better try to produce a copyright free, very short sample of the bug you find, that makes much easier to troubleshoot (i.e. have a look at the odt source code to check differences) and saves you from embarrassing positions. Once you put a file on the web, even if for a limited period, you completely loose control over it! Back to the bug, I don't know what to do, I can confirm that there is an issue, but is not the one reported even if probably related. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
