In LibreOffice, the bolding of the text is correctly displayed in its version of a comment. However, when exported to PDF, the bold (or italic) style is not present. Please provide an example document that demonstrates this problem, along with reproduction instructions. Status - NEEDINFO (Please change the status back to UNCONFIRMED after you provide the document and repro steps) I have also used the LibreOffice feature for formatting all comments to specify a specific font size and style. Inside LibreOffice, it is perfect, but upon export to PDF -- even when specifying via the File Properties Option that embedded fonts should be passed to the PDF, the font face and style are NOT honored in the PDF version as displayed by Adobe Reader. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87434] android: Back should go one level up
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87434 --- Comment #2 from Jacobo Aragunde Pérez jaragu...@igalia.com --- Thanks Kendy :) The common flow in an Android application involves stacking activities one upon another; for example, browsing into some directory usually implies opening a new activity that stacks on the previous one. Pressing back will take the user to the previous activity. As it is now, our document browser refreshes its contents when browsing the filesystem, instead of stacking activities. I think we should transform our flow to work like most Android applications. It would automatically enable the back button, and we could implement nice transition animations. Besides, it will probably simplify our code and that's always a win :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76080] FILESAVE: URLs encoded into UTF-8 after saving HTML
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76080 --- Comment #16 from Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com --- Attachment 100862 is both broken and has problematic content: For one, as comment 14 notes, the HTML file is labelled as charset=utf-8, but contains the raw bytes E8 9A F8 9E EC that do not constitute UTF-8. How has this broken file been generated? For another, the file URL contained in the a link is problematic: First, that file URL, as written in the HTML file, contains raw non-ASCII bytes (see above). How they should be interpreted when extracting the URL from the HTML file depends on the HTML file's encoding (UTF-8), but as noted above the file is broken and those bytes cannot be interpreted meaningfully. Different software in different scenarios (OS's locale settings, etc.) will likely respond in different ways when confronted with such broken input. Second, even if the URL could meaningfully be extracted from the HTML file, it would contain non-ASCII bytes. URLs are written in a subset of ASCII. If a URLs payload (which is, roughly, a sequence of arbitrary byte values) shall contain values that are outside ASCII, they need to be escaped as %XX sequences. Again, different software in different scenarios (OS's locale settings, etc.) will likely respond in different ways when confronted with such broken input. Third, even if the file URL's payload (i.e., a representation of a Windows pathname) could meaningfully be extracted, as it contains non-ASCII bytes, it would be unclear how to interpret it as an actual Windows pathname. Windows pathnames are basically sequences of (16-bit) UTF-16 code units. An alternative way to access pathnames is via the OS's selected 8-bit character set (like windows-1250 etc.), where Windows internally translates between that 8-bit character set and UTF-16, and some valid UTF-16 pathnames can not be represented in certain 8-bit character sets, and the same 8-bit input sequence can denote different UTF-16 pathnames depending on the actually selected OS 8-bit character set. It is unspecified how (encodings of) non-ASCII bytes in a file URL's payload are to be interpreted on Windows, but general consensus appears to be to interpret them according to the OS's selected 8-bit character set (all the shortcomings of that approach notwithstanding). That, again, means that software in different scenarios (i.e., OS's locale settings) will likely respond in different ways when confronted with such problematic input. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

As someone who likes to use stable software I like to stick to the latest release of Ubuntu LTS and LibreOffice Still. However Ubuntu 12.04 only included LibreOffice 3.5. Although the .deb files can be downloaded, a PPA will provide a more automated way of upgrading to the latest Still release of LibreOffice, so when 4.3 becomes Still eveyone with that PPA enabled can benefit without having to manually install a bunch of packages. I've recently swapped to Ubuntu 14.04 which is fine for now as it has LibreOffice 4.2 (currently Still) but it'd be nice to add a specific LibreOffice Still PPA so this'll go up to 4.3 automatically when that becomes Still. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88314] New: saving big file crashes writer (and LibreOffice)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88314 Bug ID: 88314 Summary: saving big file crashes writer (and LibreOffice) Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.2 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: yury.tarasiev...@gmail.com I have a fairly big writer file here, 200 pages, hundreds of formulas. Size of .odt is ~4M. From some moment it stopped opening in 3.6.7.2 (and in all variants up to and including LO 4.2 / AOO 4.1 series) -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88140 (I can open it and work with it in 4.3 series, albeit experiencing some inconveniences -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88139) The problem with 4.4.0 series is I can open (and work with) this big odt but cannot reliably save it. In 4.4.0.1 writer crashes some time (few seconds) after progress indicator reaches 100% and is removed from status bar. In 4.4.0.2 writer crashes in the same manner, but not every time I save the file. The diagnostics is, sometimes, this: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::packages::zip::ZipIOException' and sometimes it's something about 'not connected' I can't publish this big file at the moment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88322] New: Debian Repository for LibreOffice Still
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88322 Bug ID: 88322 Summary: Debian Repository for LibreOffice Still Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Installation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: s.mad...@lantizia.me.uk Hi, Apparently TDF doesn't run the LibreOffice PPAs on Launchpad that lack a repository which offers whichever version is currently considered 'Still' (see bug 88318). My enhancement request is that rather than (or in additional to) TDF offering lots of seperate .tar.gz files filled with .deb packages on the web site. TDF hosts an actual signed Debian repository with these same packages, e.g. deb http://deb.libreoffice.org/ still main This would be a woefully easier way than manually extracting and installing individual packages, provide for automatic updates and allow the main programs, help files and language packs to be accessible from one central place. Those who seek a solid and stable version of LibreOffice prefer 'Still' but may still be on an long term supported Linux distribution like Ubuntu 12.04 that won't expire until 2017. This repository would be handy to those people rather than them being stuck with LibreOffice 3.5 for years. Additionally when 4.3 becomes 'Still' it would be handy to Ubuntu 14.04 users also (which already has 4.2). Obviously this repository would also be handy for Debian and Mint users too. I'd be more than willing to lend a hand as I've ran Debian repositories before. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86492] LibreOffice install NO desktop icon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86492 --- Comment #4 from LigH cont...@ligh.de --- I believe this bug report is related to the effect I experienced on two different PCs (one with a german Windows 7 Pro SP1 32-bit, another with a german Windows 7 Ultra SP1 64-bit), but there are other PCs where it doesn't happen and the icon is all fine. After updating a previous installation of LibreOffice 4.2.x to 4.3.x, the desktop icon of the LibreOffice 4.3 link is broken on the few affected PCs in a way that it cannot be restored. In the Explorer, a directory listing shows the correct icon for soffice.exe, but trying to use soffice.exe as source for the icon of the desktop link results in the generic icon of a generic executable without internal application icon. I can edit the link and change the icon so that the icon is derived from quickstart.exe (one may have to confirm to apply administrative access rights); then the expected gray LibreOffice icon is displayed. If I change the desktop link back so that its icon is derived from soffice.exe again, the gray LibreOffice is displayed in the icon selection dialog and in the link properties dialog; but when I apply the icon exchange, the generic application icon is displayed on the desktop again. The same broken state persists if I move the icon from C:\Users\Public\Desktop elsewhere and try to change it there. But when I create a new link from soffice.exe, rename it to LibreOffice 4.3.lnk, and move it back to the public desktop, the correct icon persists. But this link lacks the additional information (about the application) of the installer-generated icon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88290 --- Comment #8 from Kevin Suo suokunl...@126.com --- (In reply to Jay Philips from comment #7) @Jay Philipz: Thanks for your reply. When in the chinese local, the drop down has 15 entries in it Yes, the Simplified Chinese dropdown has more than 8 entries because of my fix to bug 87626 not long time ago. the drop down has 15 entries in it, while in english it has only 8 entries Some devs told me that the locale file (i18npool/source/localedata/data/*.xml) allows more than 8 entries, so we can add as many entries within LC_NumberingLevel as we want. Not only Simplified Chinese, but also many other locales have more than 8 numbering type entries, Thai for example. And it works perfect when using the Formatting - Bullets and Numbering, but not with the toolbar icon. This problem doesnt happen in master with chinese locale as there are only 8 entries and when you click on them it works just fine. I don't think so. This commit was initially for master, and then backported to 4.4 branch. Version 4.4.0.2 is the first version the fix for bug 87626 takes effect. Byrne byrn...@harte-lyne.ca --- (In reply to Alex Thurgood from comment #4) @James : comment 2 suggests that you are using OSX 10.4. This is no longer supported officially by the project, so even if there is a bug, it won't be fixed, and this report would have to be closed as wontfix. Could you please re-confirm the OS you are using ? Setting to NEEDINFO in the meantime. I have no idea where the crash reporter is getting its information, unless it is reporting about itself. I am running OSX-10.9.5 I believe. In any case, it was whatever OSX release that immediately preceded Yosemite. As to whether it crashed or not I cannot say. All I can report is that the LO program in its entirety closed when I tired to resize the controls and that it regularly happens. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86846] EDITING Feature request: Add code window for editing
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86846 --- Comment #6 from Dr. Matthias Weisser matthias.weis...@gmx.de --- Thank you Robinson ! Yes - editing XML seems to be more complex compared to the html that I am doing manually. Therefore having some help for doing correctly would be appreciated. Often there are same formats used in a text. Seems to be that LO often does not see that but open up a new format. This makes the code more complex. Tools like LaTex are code related - but unfortunately no WYSIWYG feature simultaneously is possible. With LO WYSIWYG is there but unfortunately code quickly is getting much bigger than needed causing also trouble not forseen when looking on design. Therefore a synthesis of LaTex-like code and instantaneous WYSIWYG would be a good solution. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84564] VIEWING: In Mac OS X pressing cmd and ' keys no longer allows windows switching.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84564 Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REOPENED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #17 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk --- @Nicola : please do not re-open worksforme bug report unles you have some further useful information to add, i.e. further more detailed information about your particular setup or circumstances in which you see this bug. This works fine for me on OSX 10.10.1 and LO Version: 4.3.5.2 Build ID: 3a87456aaa6a95c63eea1c1b3201acedf0751bd5 64 bit using a bluetooth AZERTY wireless Apple keyboard and French locale. I opened three separate LO database files, and corresponding forms and query windows within each. I can switch between the open db windows using the Cmd+` character. If you have a problem, it is more likely related to one or more of the following: - the particular version of LO you are using ; - the particular keyboard you are using ; - the locale you are using (system and keyboard, as both can be different); - the version of OSX you are using ; - possibly corrupt user profile configuration folder (although you already reported as having tested this hypothesis). So, if there is a bug, make sure you provide complete details of the test bed you are using where you experienced the bug, and alter the title correspondingly. As others have mentioned, they can get this to work with a different combination of keys which works for them in their locale and their version of OSX. At best, the bug will be left in the unconfirmed state until someone with the same setup can confirm. Until then I am resetting this back to WFM. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86313] Page number offset shows zero instead of nothing

Unfortunately this is required for compatibility with .doc/.docx, so while it may be inconvenient that it doesn't work like it used to, I don't see that there's a way to put it back like before - 0 is now a valid page number, and it will remain that way. - Setting status to RESOLVED WONTFIX commit c2ccd20c0fd92bddfff76447754541705e3eb8f3 Author: Adam Co rattles2...@gmail.com Date: Thu Aug 29 17:16:44 2013 +0300 fdo#44689: fix for specific case of page restart-value 0 This bug fix is for roundtripping a DOCX that has a specific 'start value' for the page numbers. In most cases LO imports it ok. However - until now - Word allowed you to start page number from 0, while LO only allowed starting page numbers from 1. This was because the 'start value' was stored in an 'unsigned int', and the value '0' was used to mark 'there is no start value'. This patch changes the way the 'start value' is stored from 'unsigned int' to 'optional unsigned int'. This way - if there is no value applied - the variable will hold NULL. However - if a value is set - it can be 0 or more. This meant also tweaking all the places that used to get this value, so that now they handle an 'optional uint', instead of a 'uint'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
