   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Four screenshots with examples of stylename bug

In the styles list, three styles from imported Apache Open Office templates
(.ott) show as a line feed, sans a name. Modifying the style shows the
stylename, as shown in the screenshots.

BookTitle (paragraph)
Title (paragraph)
Title Char (paragraph)

All of the other styles, both built in and custom, display fine.

It appears that the word "Title" is the common denominator.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97492] New: FORMATTING: Writer gradually becomes slow, especially w.r.t applying styles

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97492

Bug ID: 97492
Summary: FORMATTING: Writer gradually becomes slow, especially
w.r.t applying styles
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: eyal...@technion.ac.il

I am working on documents which were originally imported from MS Word (but I've
been copy-pasting those files and editing versions of them for years now). They
are in Hebrew. They're not so large (~10 pages typically) and have maybe one
embedded image.

In LO 4.x, everything was hunky-dory, so to speak, and I was editing with ease.
Suddently, with LO 5.x, I've began to experience gradual slowdown as I work.
This is in the responsiveness of LO in general - it becomes more sluggish - but
most of all when it comes to chaging paragraph styles. It gets to the point of
me having to wait 10-15 seconds - on a fairly recent Core i5, 3.4 GHz and lots
of RAM - to switch from Heading 2 to Heading 3 and back. If I shut down the app
- not just the document, but all document windows - and restart it, It's like I
reset the slowness level to a reasonable value.

At first I thought this had something to do with Paragraph style previews, so I
disabled those, but there wasn't a noticeable effect. I also tried another
computer, same phenomenon basically. I do think it's worse when the style pane
is open, though.

I'm not sure if I'm barking up the right tree w.r.t. where the problem lies -
maybe it has nothing to do with styles and that's just a symptom - but it is
making use of LO almost intolerable.

Can you explain this in a clearer way? What do you mean by defining a new page
in a row?

Also please don't make demands, it's highly offensive "add this!" Our project
doesn't work based on user demands - we work by volunteers doing cool work.

Marking as NEEDINFO, once you clarify what you're talking about please set to

I was making a backtrace (comment 10), but I have got no answer about it and I
don't know if the backtrace is useful. This case was reproduceable for me in
two different environments (win and linux).

If you can't see something in this backtrace, I have to look after a new
reproduceable situation in my new file that I have written from scratch. This
is not so easy for me, I have to take some personal informations out of the
file, find a error thats not happens at one time and set up the debugging.
Thats why I will be lucky to have some informations about making the backtrace
better.

Best regards
Udo

That is in line with what I remember from user feed back in all kind of
situations. This might be a valid reason to let accessibility prevail over the
length of the menu (which indeed is significant, but thanks to clear grouping,
good to digest).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97493] New: Crash on creating new document

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97493

Bug ID: 97493
Summary: Crash on creating new document
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.3 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: k...@roeckx.be

Hi,

I tried the 5.1.0.1 rc version and it crashed on me, so I had to uninstall it
and return back to some 5.0.X version. I tried the 5.1.0.3 today and had the
same problem.

It starts properly and shows me the preview of the previous documents I've
opened. But when I press calc or writer on the left side it's showing me
something about a segfault and closes. When I start it the next time it will
actually show me a recovery window.

I'm testing it on windows 7 if that's relevant.

In this case, all Italian strings are translated. So, the problem is that the
status doesn't allow to correct show the
translated tip. Many of them are contextualized (example: ), many others not.

Is it correct?

Thanks Diane.
For me the style names for BookTitle (paragraph) and Title (paragraph) display
properly in Styles and Formatting.

Also when Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View ... Use OpenGL (and restart) is
set.

Maybe related to bug 92380?
Maybe Mac issue?

(I'm on Ubuntu)

i can't reproduce the problem... but i'm highly suspicious of this commit:

commit f880962f5bf26bfaef06bd3f9e67e2d901a2e74c
Author: Zolnai Tamás
AuthorDate: Wed Mar 18 10:25:05 2015 +0100

Char highlight: ODT filters

Export merges the two background attribute.

... which adds another property that exports to the offending
fo:background-color attribute, and was added in LO 5.0... that's
just too much of a coincidence...

... alright this reproduces the problem from scratch:

Sub Main

c = ThisComponent.Text.createTextCursor()

c.setString("foo bar baz")

c.goRight(4, false)
c.goRight(3, true)

msgbox(c.getString())

c.CharBackColor = 0
c.CharHighlight = 0
c.CharBackTransparent = 1

End Sub

Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file
"user/registrymodifications.xcu", it affect all the options in
Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are
overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

OS: Linux (All)

  Reporter: sworddrag...@aol.com

On making a right click at a row and then making a right click at a column I'm
noticing that the complete row is still selected while the column is not
selected (works also vice-versa). Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Calc and make a right click at any row (at a cell where the numbers
are).
2. Click at an empty place at the menu bar to cause the context menu to
disappear.
3. Make a right click at any column (at a cell where the letters are).

I can not use the 32 and 64 bit versions in my environment.
Start center buttons are not displayed (but work if you click "at random").

Difficult to test other display options than the default (e.g. opengl) because
Dialog is not displayed.

The title bar in the attached screenshot shows after Click Options>
LibreOffice> View:
- start center buttons not dispaye
- entry in the treeview is not highlighted,
- dialog remains on the User identity data,
- only the title is correct.

This bug is *NOT* reproduced (fr-QA testers) on:
-Windows 7 Home (Server Install GUI for 32bit version, direct install for x64
-Windows 7/32 (with or withour OpenGl)

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

sample page of a scanned pdf file

Attached is one sample page of a scanned pdf file.
Start from draw version 5.1.0.2, this pdf is not imported correctly in Draw,
and even worse in version 5.1.0.3.

Bug does not exist in version 5.0.4.2 and 5.0.5.1, so it's a regression.

Clear formatting at the Styles menu wouldn't be the best fit, although
it sounds good on the first glance.

There have been good a couple of reasons to change the menu. When it has
negative bearing on your personal workflow we apologize. But in general the
function is not what the average user needs. And as an expert user you can
easily modify your menu per Tool > Customize.

Please don't understand the objection to your report as ignorance. It is a
valuable contribution and will count for the next iteration, if there are more
complaints.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97480] New: Impress rename masks when saving

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97480

Bug ID: 97480
Summary: Impress rename masks when saving
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: charles.clavr...@gmail.com

When saving the file as a Model, masks are renamed according to the file name.

Step to reproduce the bug:
1- Create a new Impress Presentation
2- View > Master > Slide Master
3- Add a master and rename it. Add as many as you want.
4- Save the file as a Model.
5- Observe that masks are renamed as "filename", "filename1", etc. (Note: there
was a space in the file name, it's changed to "%20")

I'm using libreoffice-5-0-4 branch on Windows 7. I tested with
libreoffice-4-3-7 and the masks names are not changed.

Any idea where that behaviour could be handled? I'll start to dig in but it can
be nice to have a starting point :)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97482] New: Presentation-mode: Pen - drawing in presenter's view

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 97482
Summary: Presentation-mode: Pen - drawing in presenter's view
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tobias.bur...@physik.fu-berlin.de

I have a dual screen system; in presentation mode, one shows full-screen the
presentation, the other shows the presenter's view with current/next slide,
notes etc.

Right click in the audience's view and choose "Mouse pointer as pen" - that
changes its shape from an arrow into a pen. Move then the mouse to the
presenter's view. When over the current slide, it has the pen shape. Click now
draw something and release.

Result: No drawing is visible.

If one now moves the mouse pointer over to the audience's screen, the previous
drawing instantly is shown on both screens.

Expected: The drawing appears instantly while one draws on the current slide on
the presenter's screen.

I have no idea why, but if I, in the original document:

- Select row 8, right-click:Insert Rows Above
- (a new row 8 with empty cells appears)
- Press Ctrl+Shift+F9
- (the cells E4:E7 now populate correctly, and also E9)
- keep the new row 8 selected, and right-click:Delete Rows
- Press Ctrl+Shift+F9

then the E column populates correctly.

Of course doing such a weird dance is not something an end-user is expected to
guess to do, but just something I noticed, and which might give a hint what is
wrong in the data structures or something...

There is something mysterious with the document that I can't figure out. If I
clean out everything except the rows and columns on the first sheet that
contains the columns A-D of numbers and the E row of SUM formulas, it still
doesn't work. Ctrl+Shift+F9 does not recalculate correctly, the results stay as
zero.

If I create a similar sheet from scratch, it works as expected.

You are not mistaken, we need the registration for windows. I am however
confused we already register file types so it seems to be adding the extra file

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52478] Draw: Zoom slider’s upper limit is excessive for such a tiny control

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52478

I am working on this bug.

The problem is not an exponential. The zoom changes linear with the slider
position in two parts. The first part goes from 1% to 100% and occupies the
first half of the slider. The second part that occupies the second half of the
slider goes from 100% to max zoom. For draw and impress this means 100% to
3000%. Therefore this part has a very high constant slope. In combination with
the snapping point, that turns the zoom to 100% again, if you move the slider
very little it is impossible to reach zooms between 100% and 200% with the
slider.

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78924

--- Comment #13 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com ---
I'm seeing this again in 5.1.0.3 while LibO 5.0.5.1 does not have the issue on
the same machine.

In draw, the "line and filling toolbar" is higher than the other toolbars (e.g.
the "standard" toolbar).

This makes editing drawings extremely annoying whenever the toolbar is docked
at the top.

Depending on which graphical element you click on, the toolbar appears or
disappears, making the whole drawing jump up and down by a few pixels.

Machine runs Kubuntu Linux 15.10.

As you can see here - still no header in document, but added to preview.
Original doc contains header with table, text and logo.
My example without logo.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97477] New: Formatting cell

2016-02-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97477

Bug ID: 97477
   Summary: Formatting cell
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: g_bra...@libero.it

I have formatted a column "name of the day and date" but if I type 1/2 (italian
for first of February) I get as result 1/2 (half).
If I type 2/2 I get in Italian "tuesday 2 february 2016).
So the bug exist on today's date only.
As I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS can I upgrade to the new version of LO or should
I wait for the relase from Ubuntu?
Thanks.

Comment on last line

There is an annoying issue when commenting the last word in a text.
By clicking on "Enter" to start a new line, the comment will follow and point
to the newly created line.

See attached screenshoots to understand.

A nice feature, solving partially this problem, would be to make it possible to
move comments.

There is no way to add text at the end of the document without moving the
comment. The only way to do that is to delete the comment, press Enter and
write the comment again.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92489] SLIDESHOW with custom animations: sound is lost with Linux

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92489

Hello Richard, *,
as Beluga in Comment1 reported it, there was no sound in your presentation ...
:( But nonetheless, I can reproduce your bug with one from MozTrap
(http://manual-test.libreoffice.org/media/attachments/2014/05/24/test40.odp),
where I added some test sounds for slide transition, which does not work ... :(
With your attached ODP file, LO just crashes after the end of the second slide
... :(

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
LO: Version: 5.1.0.3
Build-ID: 5e3e00a007d9b3b6efb6797a8b8e57b51ab1f737
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.3; UI Render: default;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8)

(parallelly installed, following the instructions from
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux with
de_DE-lang as well as helppack)
HTH and have a nice evening
Thomas.

I can not reproduce with win10, LO 5.0.4.2
ctrl+F or ctrl+h works as expected.

For the test, could you rename your LibreOffice directory profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and give it a new try? Thank
you

commit b1adb498bb0a5ff091c9d1d82332a4c43c57979b is "svl: replace some legacy

- this just replaces one type of debug-only code with a different debug-only
code - are you sure you bisected it correctly?
