Ctrl+A is available to select all objects in a Draw page, but there isnt a
option to select all the elements on a particular layer of a page. Once this
uno command has been created, it would be useful to have it in the Edit menu

When i drag a shape in Draw and have the rulers on, it would be nice to have
the ruler markers of the shape move along the rulers during the moving process,
so its easier to see when it lines up to a particular position along the ruler.

I'm aware that LO does have the 'helplines while moving' feature, but not all
users would be knowledgeable enough to enable this feature and would benefit
from the indication directly on the rulers.

After adding a connector in Impress or Draw, you have to go into the Connector
dialog in order to make changes to it. So it would be useful to move the items
from the dialog into a new sidebar content panel.

The content panel would have
1) Type label and drop down
2) Line skew label and spinbox

Test file created with MSO Excel 2013

Attached ods is created with MSO Excel 2013. Excel is not ODF conform and
calculates for =MODE(6; 6; 4; 2; 2) a 6 (instead of the correct 2).

Hitting a formula wizard (being in cell A1) and OK does work (calculation of
LibO results in 2)

Hitting instead F9, CTRL F9, or CTRL SHIFT F9 or using the menu (Data ->
calculate --> recalculate) does not change the recalculation of the cell A1.

2016-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 97886
Summary: saving a document multiplies images in it
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ric...@nakts.net

when saving a particular document, writer multiplies the images within. the
actual png files are not multiplied, but some get referenced many, many times
in content.xml.
just opening and saving the file adds two new such references. editing and
saving over a longer period of time increases this amount. after getting
hundreds of thousands of such references, writer stops opening the file,
essentially corrupting it beyond usefulness.
manually editing out the duplicate image references allows to edit and save the
file a few more times.

unfortunately, the testcase itself is confidential. if a developer has some
time to look at this, please let me know how to deliver the testcase. the
testcase file is ~ 1mb large.

Steps:
1) Open Draw
2) Notice that there is no message in the the Properties tab under the
'Properties' title.

Regression as the message is there in 5.0.4. Previously a blank Properties tab
had the message 'Properties for the task that you are preforming are not
available for the current selection'.

Hopefully a variant of the page tab (bug 83830) or slide section (bug 89466)
can be added to Draw so that its not blank, but as the sidebar is open by
default since 5.0, it isnt good UX to see a blank tab and not know why.

Can't reproduce under Fedora 23 (64-bit). Just to make sure we're testing the
same thing:

1. Open .doc file and make some change (let's say add a word).
2. Click on the save button, and ensure that it shows the default icon (i.e.
without the star) again.
3. Close the document.
4. Open the document again.

The moire pattern of the radial gradient applied Fontwork on export to PDF is
legitimate, but is a duplicate of bug 91252 - Radial gradient exported as path

I have tested it with 5.1.0.3 now and I was able to setup my owncloud WebDAV
server connection without any issues or glitches. This functionality is well
fixed and greatly enhanced (now with the possibility to add some more servers
like Alfresco, Sharepoint, Lotus etc...) which makes it as easy as never before
to integrate LibreOffice into a professional work environment. Great job well
done! Thank you.

I too have this problem using the Native MySQL Connector. I get 'MySQL Server
has gone away' quite regularly and although I have tried to tweak timeouts on
the MySQL side I've never got rid of the problem entirely.

Am I right in assuming that to add parameters to the connection string using
JDBC one simply adds them to the database name in the connection properties
dialogue, so that if my database is called DB it becomes something like

DB?autoreconnect=true=false

and so on?

I'm reluctant to use JDBC because it is quite a bit slower on my system, and
has strange issues where sometimes it returns no data for the first few
attempts at opening a form to show data (doesn't much matter which one of
many), and then all of a sudden it works. I can't reproduce this reliably
enough to report it properly. It also took me ages to find the tinyInt1isBit
tweak, and I was on the verge of reporting the tinybit(1) problem when I found
Alex & Lionel's very useful report on the topic.

2016-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97883

Bug ID: 97883
Summary: EDITING: table control fields in forms can not
modified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: simon.stra...@googlemail.com

To reproduce:
1. Use a LibreOffice Base file with an embedded HSQLDB
2. Create a form with an table control on a table with some columns. Choose
some columns to display in the table control.
3. Open the form for editing: Try to modify the columns in the table control
(e.g. move, resize, rename or change properties like referencing another table
field) or try to add or try to remove a column from the table control in the
form.

=> Step 3 is not possible because the mouse is displaying the arrow cross for
moving the whole table control

Still,
no issues with the state aware save button of LO 5.1.0.3 on Windows 8.1 Pro

Details for working with your per-user profile are found in this Wiki:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Alternatively you can create a new use account that will receive a default
LibreOffice profile and check if that is having issues.

Ok. I am running Windows 7 and saving as Microsoft 97-2003 {mainly because
graphs etc in xlxs caused bugs which I have previously reported and were
accepted) i.e I am using plain docs and xls.
I have unchecked the "Ask if not ODF" in the Tools /Options/General and tried
saving - still no action.
There were absolutely no problems saving correctly to these same Microsoft
files in 5.0.3 / 5.0.4 and previous versions of 4.4 etc so why does it occur
now? {unless the coding has been changed to include the "Save as" and "Remote
save" functions and something has been missed]
I apologise but I don't understand / not knowledgeable enough to know what you
mean by "Try a new profile"

After some more testing it seems to be an issue with some built-in functions
for file based databases. These functions are documented here:

I tested some of the functions with dBase, spreadsheets and csv and found that
substring and concat make LO5.1 crash.

Save button detects state and works correctly working with either LibreOffice

the Save button (with alert flag icon as noted) is selected. Time stamp of file

Please try with a new profile, and in the dialog shown on first instance of
saving to other than ODF format -- uncheck the "Ask wehn not saving in ODF or

Unable to replicate with JPG or PNG files - they always import with rotated

The images in the example attachment (Dossier réponses-E42-session2012.doc) are
.WMF files. Those images are not rotated in .doc (inherited from OOo -
bibisect-43all) up to today (LO 5.2dev). In 5.2dev, the option to rotate or
flip WMF images is disabled. They need to be compressed to PNG or JPG first.

The deactivation of OpenGL solves the problem.
All icons are now displayed correctly.

Thanks for the hint

Disable Tools - Options - LibO - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering
Does it help?

Report here the contents of your:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\opengl_device.log
.. if you did not already in some other report :) So many OGL reports lately
due to the blacklist blunder.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
