You are right, there isn't. The GUI has been created for many different
database-engines. The internal database-engine HSQLDB only allows to set the
position of  a new field by SQL, not to change the position of existing fields.
Firebird would allow to position fields after adding them. So you could change
the position at every time. Might be other database-engines won't allow to
change the position at all.

Have set this one to "NEW", because there isn't any possibility to change the
sorting order.
Have set the version to "Inherited from OOo", because it never worked in an
other way.

Could you please check this in latest master ? seems for charts 1 & 3 the
xlabels are now showing as rotated by 45 degrees.

Isn't a simple option, because you could set a combination of more than one
field to "unique". Also you could define the sorting-order separately. This
won't work in table-edit-window.

So you need two positions to set "unique". One (for only one field, without
defining sorting-order) could be placed in table-edit-window directly. Another
must be placed at "Tools > Index Design" for combination of fields, changing
sorting-order etc.

Have set this one to "NEW" because it isn't placed where you wish it.
Have set the version to "Inherited from OOo", because it wasn't placed there at
any time.

There are 2 workarounds for this issue:

Add kernel parameter stack_guard_gap=1

Or 

Start Libreoffice, click on Tools, click on options and under Libreoffice
section click on Advanced.
And instead of changing parameteres, considering I don't use java in
Libreoffice, I've simply deselected "Use a Java runtime environment".

The snap package's confinement is too strict and does not allow opening or
saving documents on SMB shares (or other types of remote storage). Accessing
documents on SMB storage is a common use case and the snap package should

2. Open a LO document located within the shared filesystem


Actual Results:  
Error message: "General input/output error while accessing

Every time I reopen a document, the images are misplaced or missing. Usually in
the middle of the document. When I try to re import them the images below,
disappear to. No matter the LibreOffice version, it happens even with
OpenOffice. The only solution is to place and edit all the images without close
the document and then export as PDF, because the next time the document is open
the problem starts over.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a document with images and several sections
2.Save and close
3.Reopen the document

The images are misplaced or missing

The document opens with the images at the correct places

Good idea, Foxit Reader worked (it's a PDF reader, but adds a PDF printer as
well).

Repro with commit 3fdc41af6370a53f7db4e52104cfd3328ee40563, no repro with the
preceding commit.

For me it's reproducible even with computers where bug 107166 wasn't (with my
main computer, locally for example). Reproducible both with OpenGL enabled and
disabled.

Attaching console output of the following process: start Writer, type a word,
File -> Print..., print to Foxit Reader PDF Printer, exit Writer.
The following line looks suspicious:
warn:vcl.gdi:9940:7936:vcl/win/gdi/DWriteTextRenderer.cxx:231 HRESULT failed
with: -2147024809

Note that OpenGL was enabled. When it's disabled, 99% of the warnings are gone,
but the same HRESULT failed message is there as well.

fdo#58988, fdo#58562: Populate draw clip document with data for charts.
Without populating the clip document, copying a chart (or charts) into
clipboard makes the charts lose all their referenced data, which causes
the pasted chart to appear empty.

Password length is limited to 15 characters with dialog box/error message.
Cannot create password for .docx files that is longer than this length. Instead
of fixing the issue, it seems the input was limited to accommodate.

No limitation exists in MS Word 2016. Created test document with password of 20
character length. LibreWriter was able to open without a problem.

Is there an issue with creating a strong password for .docx files? Does the
encryption match that used by MS Word, and if so, why is the length of the
password limited?

Sound' ) and they have the same bug, so this is not a recent regression.

Tested on Ubuntu and it works fine, so seems to be Windows specific.

This would be my suggestion for your A10-9700 R7 on chip GPU, with discrete R5
M320 graphics card, the current 17.7.1 driver from AMD:

You shouldn't need a Leshcat modified driver.

Not clear this is the same problem. You are on a Windows 10 system with AMD
R7/R5 GPUs and reasonably current drivers. 

You could update to current Crimson ReLive 17.7.1 driver 17.10.3211.1031
(Windows Driver Store Version 22.19.171.1024), but the 21.19.142.32768 is
already a WDDM 2.1 driver.

Curious if your display clears up if you disable LibreOffice OpenGL rendering
from Tools -> Options -> View panel.  Uncheck "Use OpenGL for all rendering"
and restart LibreOffice. Result?

When a user want to make a field "unique" without declaring it as a primary key
it can be done with in the table-edit-window with the menu "Tools -> Index
Design...".

While retesting bug 60962 I got the following crash:
1/ open attached file
2/ select the formula (a+b=c), it is an OLE object (see bug 60962)
3/ hit ctrl+C ; as described in bug 60962, the file becomes modified
4/ Menu File > Reload
5/ select the ellipse and hit ctrl+C

Observed behavior: crash and LO ask for restoring the opened files
Expected behavior: no crash

1. Make sure there's a text object in the current slide.

2. Unselect all objects.

3. Add a contextual toolbar, like View/Toolbars/Line and filling, and put it in
its own row (i.e. not in the same row as an existing toolbar).

4. Click inside the text object to edit it.

The Line and Filling toolbar disappears, since it is not valid for the text
editing context.  However, this causes the entire slide view to change zoom. 
This is very disorienting, as it changes *again* when you are finished editing
the object.

The slide view should stay at a fixed position and zoom factor.  If a toolbar
is out of context, just disable its items temporarily.

The Slides pane, which displays thumbnails of each page in the presentation,
looks like

That is, each thumbnail has the slide number on the left.

When you mouseover each slide, LO prelights each thumbnail *and* also displays
a tooltip with the slide number.  This tooltip is redundant and rather
annoying. Since the slide has its slide number on the left, the tooltip should
not appear at all.

In my workflow, because I use styles, the panel properties is more a view of
the formatting than a tools collection to format text.

The HELP (opened from dialog Edit > Links) reads:
"Automatic
[...]
The Automatic option is only available for DDE links. You can insert a DDE link
by copying the contents from one file and pasting by choosing Edit - Paste
Special, and then selecting the Link box. As DDE is a text based linking
system, only the displayed decimals are copied into the target sheet."

Description:
When I go to Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> View, and change 'color'
under 'visual aids', it does not take effect.  It is black to start, whatever I
set it to, it stays black.  If I click OK and come back, black again.  And
always appears black in the actual spreadsheet.  I even removed my user
profile, same thing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> View
2. change 'color' under 'visual aids' to anything besides black
3. Click OK
Nothing changes on screen, repeat step 1 says black again.

Actual Results:  
Gridlines black, setting black.

Expected Results:
Gridlnes on screen change color, setting remembers color I selected.

no Xavier, the "CC List" filed is not a "developer only" field.
you don't have to remove yourself from there.

any user who wants to receive email notification with updates about this bug
report may leave his name there (usually anytime you drop a comment in BugZilla
you are automatically added to CC unless you change that default setting).

the "developer only" field is the "Assignee" field...
if you place your name there it means that you "take property" of the bug and
you want to fix it.

but if someone who is not a developer erroneously puts himself into "Assignee"
other developers won't work to fix it since they could think that there's
somebody else already working on it.

so, basically this is how the bugzilla works...

removing "jtl" from the "Assignee" field where he wrote his name as as mistake,
was necessary to leave this bug open for true developers who may try to fix it.

regarding me, I am not a developer but a QA volunteer that helps triaging bug
reports and teach new user how to use the tracker.

so I'm sorry to tell to "jtl" that no supervisor will "kick me out" as
"representative of LibreOffice" since I've exactly done what it was supposed to
be done.

so, again learn how to use the bugtracker and don't be harsh with people that
tries to teach you how to use things you clearly showed you don't know how they
work.

Staying in Fixed mode should not cause any issues. Simply use he Catalyst GUI
(from desktop context menu) to manually select which GPU to use. Setting BIOS
to Dynamic mode automates the switching.

Possibly, and you would be well served to force the Intel GPU onto a newer
driver. The Catalyst 12-10 installation should have done that. You might try to
reinstall. Or, just do a manual driver update via Device manager and search  in
the AMD Cayalyst folder (where it extracted to when first run). 

Alternatively, the Leshcat project [1] has "modded"--modified--64-bit drivers
specifically for the hybrid mode AMD/Intel GPU combos. These folks poke hard at
these exact issues with HP laptop systems. Looks like the 14.4 UnifL v2.4 [2]
should have good fixed/dynamic support for you on 64-bit Windows 7 SP1.

check the expand formatting; expand references; update references
it maybe helpful
did some new test and following your description, when reopen the file the
formatting was not lost

6.0 is not okay, tommy27 confirmed with a daily build from the 23rd.

Description:
Taking headers and copying them after bullets converts the header to a bullet

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a header1 followed by a bulleted line, followed by several normal
blank lines
2. copy the header line and the bulleted line, selecting up to (but not
including) the EOL of the bulleted line
3. paste it a few lines further down.

Actual Results:  
The header line is now a bulleted header

Expected Results:
The header line should be a normal header


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Also: copying the EOL of the bulleted line and then pasting makes it work
normally.
I reported another bullet-EOL-related bug in

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this
with gtk3, gtk, kde4 and gen rendering.
I noticed that if I add some text and type "Enter", the copied shape appeared.
So it seems it forces refresh display in a way.
I suppose this refresh is triggered by "display preview", that's why the clone
appears after this action.

Caolán: thought you might be interested in this one since it concerns rendering
so I suppose vcl.
It could also help too for more specific tdf#109277

When you have several pivot tables on different sheets, you need to go one by
one to update and you have not a way on the interface to locate them. Even the
navigator don't show the pivot tables.

Maybe there are a mistake thinking pivot tables are always alone on one sheet,
and not, they can be located anywhere, which is very usefull, making difficult
to locate them.

If at least there was an option to Recalculate and update everything on the
file:
Hard recalc
Pivot tables (pivot Charts)
Update links
Update dabase ranges.

Sorry but I think UX matter it's secondary here.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.
Interesting point is it happens only with gtk3 rendering.
Not with gtk (=gtk2), kde4 and gen rendering.

I noticed logs these on console:
