Beware, there are OpenCL and OpenGL ("C" and "G") both are linked to the
graphic card. For more details, I let you take a look to Wikipedia.

Could you take a look to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

1) Try to rename your LO directory profile? (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)

2) Since it may be linked to OpenGL, try to upgrade your graphic card driver
If it crashes, you can try to disable OpenGL for the test

If it still crashes, would it be possible you attach the file?
Since it'll be made automatically public, don't forget to remove any
confidential/private from it.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115453] New: Confusion on the Impress Views Tab Bar: UI

2018-02-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115453

Bug ID: 115453
Summary: Confusion on the Impress Views Tab Bar: UI
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: davidjudysm...@gmail.com

Description:
The Views Tab Bar has five tabs. Four of them (Normal, Outline, Notes, and
Slide Sorter) show one or more slides in the open presentation. The other (now
called Master Handout) is different, in that it doesn't show the handouts but
rather the layout that will be applied to the handouts. Even worse, when that
tab is selected, Impress is in "Master" mode, so selecting Normal opens the
Slide Master, and selecting Notes opens the Notes Master. To get back to the
Normal view of my slides requires that I know to choose View - Normal (same
word, different action) or to click Close Master View on the Sidebar. (Slide
Sorter is even stranger: it shows all of my slides, but if I double-click on
one, it takes me to the Slide Master, not to the Normal View.) I find this
confusing.
Please consider either:
* removing Handout Master from the Views Tab Bar; or
* adding Slide Master and Notes Master to the Views Tab Bar, and changing the
Normal and Notes tabs to return to non-Master views

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open or create a presentation with several slides.
2. If necessary, show the Views Tab Bar (View - Views Tab Bar).
3. Select the Notes tab to see the notes view of the selected slide, then
select the Normal tab to see that slide in normal view.
4. Select the Master Handout tab. A diagram of the handout is shown.
5. Select the Normal tab. The Slide Master (not a slide) is shown.

Actual Results:
Normal and Notes tabs give different results, depending on whether Master
Handout was selected first. A user encountering this for the first time might
not know how to disable the Master view.

Expected Results:
I would prefer for the Normal tab to always show the normal view of a slide in
my presentation, the Notes tab to always show the notes, etc. In order to see
master slide, notes, etc., I want to select different tabs.

Reproducible: Always

This bug was most likely introduced as a fix to bug 95761. That change has been
reverted, and it should work in 6.0.0 like before (a lot of similar issues that
are collected in the Shortcuts-AltGR meta bug are now fixed). Please test with

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115451] New: Sidebar focus becomes hidden on deck change

2018-02-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115451

Bug ID: 115451
Summary: Sidebar focus becomes hidden on deck change
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayk...@gmail.com

Focus does not change when a deck button is clicked in the Sidebar. This causes
problems when using the keyboard to navigate the sidebar after using the mouse
to select a deck.

Here is an example:

1) Open the Sidebar Navigator deck
2) Click on Headings
3) Press Esc Key
focus rectangle should be around Navigator deck title
4) Press Tab Tab to highlight the Navigation toolbox drop down button
5) Click on the Properties deck button (the wrench button)
6) Press down arrow
Navigation pop up toolbox appears

Two solutions I have implemented are:

 1. set focus to deck title on deck button click (places focus rectangle around
title)
 2. set focus on deck button on deck button click (highlights deck button)

I like the focus on deck button myself.

While in layout selection F6/F6 advances out of the sidebar. F6 goes to
a toolbar for me. Tab/TAB do nothing.

True. On a Windows build Version: 6.0.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 64a0f66915f38c6217de274f0aa8e15618924765
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

With a selection made, the Escape will exit the Layouts selection widget back
to the Panels title. And F10 will shift focus to the main menu File button. So
the keyboard lock is resolved.

But, believe with selection made in the Sidebar Deck, F6/F6 or
TAB/TAB should advance out of the panel.

Thank you for the clear answer.

My fault. I thought I understood from somewhere that such issues should be
reported here. There must be a separate place for requests. Can this be
forwarded to that or do I need to go through this process again?

The Special Character "Symbol" dialog was reworked for the 2017 GSOC.

Rework included adjustment to the old dialog of .uno:InsertSymbol and a new
.uno:CharmapControl dialog holding Favorites and Recent in the "small special
character box" you describe.

In UX review, the Favorites/Recent button dropdown button was deemed by UX &
Design team not to be a viable replacement for the full function dialog and was
replaced with the button control for the full dialog [1].

Both controls are assigned buttons on the Standard toolbar, but the new
uno:CharmapCotnrol is not going to be shown on standard toolbar with default
profile. Users can add it.

And, likely additional work will see the two button actions merged into a split
button.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115449] New: Add Tooltips to the Horizontal Ruler in Writer

2018-02-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115449

Bug ID: 115449
Summary: Add Tooltips to the Horizontal Ruler in Writer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: needsUXEval
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: librestep...@gmail.com

There is an icon box to the left of the horizontal ruler. It shows a tab stop
type. By repeatedly clicking on it, the user can cycle through the four types.
I suggest adding a tooltip that at least identifies the type, such as “Left
Tab”.

Implementing the suggestion in the previous paragraph would not really explain
the purpose of the icon box. Of course, a user could read the documentation.
But perhaps we should consider a longer tooltip than just the tab stop type.
For example, “Left tab. Click to cycle through the 4 tab types. Click on ruler
to set the tab.” The example is 80 characters, which is long for a tooltip. It
might make sense to show it on two lines.

Icons marking the three paragraph indents are shown on the horizontal ruler:
Left Indent, First Line Indent, and Right Indent. The tooltip for an indent is
the position on the ruler, such as 0.5 ". I suggest that the tooltip also
identify the indent type.

A further refinement of the indent tooltips is possible. As an indent icon is
being dragged, the tooltip would be displayed, with the indent’s position
continuously updated in the tooltip. This would facilitate fine adjustments.

As already mentioned, the tooltip for an indent icon is the position on the
ruler. Tab stops on the ruler do not have a tooltip. I suggest that they show
the position as a tooltip.

2018-02-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112990

Thrashed with this problem once I downloaded LO 6 public release. Found this
bug from a reply to my query on ask.libreoffice.org
(https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/144968/lo-6-macos-10133-startup-ask-to-recover-say-no-crash-endless-loop/?sort=latest).

Running LO 5.4.4, disabled BOTH OpenCL and OpenGL, then restarted LO 6, no
crashes yet. I'm hoping the OpenCL / OpenGL incompatibility on macOS will
disappear.

Running macOS 10.13.3 (17D47) on a MacBookPro13,2.

A possible solution to this problem or a similar one (jittery, inconsistent
scrolling through page breaks), is uncheck everything except hardware
acceleration in "Graphics output" found in Tools > Options > LibreOffice >
View.

Scrolling in these settings is smooth as silk on Windows 10 pc. It is probably
a bug between the NVIDIA GeForce GTX series (mine is the 960M) and OpenGL.

Thank you for your feedback!
On the pc which crashes, could you check you got the last drivers of your
graphic card? If there's some upgrade, could you do it and give a new try with
OpenGL enabled?

In both cases, if you still reproduce this, could you attach /cache/opencl_devices.log ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115447] New: Missing Table Control and other icons in More Controls bar

2018-02-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115447

Bug ID: 115447
Summary: Missing Table Control and other icons in More Controls
bar
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bridgeportcontrac...@gmail.com

Created attachment 139582
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=139582=edit
Missing icons.odb

The 'Table Control' icon (to insert a table control when editing a form) and
several other icons have gone missing from the 'More Controls' tool bar (which
itself is contained in the 'Form Controls' tool bar.)

Tested in versions:

5.4.6.0 dev linux - was ok (not broken)

  6.0.0.1 windows - broken (regressions)
  6.0.0.2 linux - broken
  6.0.1.0 dev linux - broken

See 2 screen shot attachments,
* first one of 6.0.0.2 (fail), and
* 2nd one of 5.4

Also missing these icons: spin, vertical slider, calendar, group, grid, etc.

Steps to reproduce.

1) Open the attached database
2) Open the form in Edit mode
3) Left click on the More Controls icon in the Form Controls tool bar. It has
a check mark, and to the right of the a circle with a black dot in it, and then
3 dots below these two.) (Not to be confused with the similar looking icon for
"Activation Order").
4) Notice that there are now only 6 icons in the new tool bar (or pallet) that
appears.

Note: There used to be 13 icons in this toolbar, so others are missing too .

Workaround: You can Menu to Tools > Customize, etc ... and manually fix this.

When is "WorksForMe" used vs "Fixed"?

I would have thought WorksForMe meant, "I tested it, and it works for me"?

In this case I'm pretty sure somebody fixed this somewhere in LO, probably as
part of an underlying library, and in response to some other bug in calc, or
word, etc.

Recall that I have a video attached here showing it actually failing for me,
and now it works differently with the newer versions. It didn't just start
working on it's own I don't think.

Thanks Robert.

  args = Array(1)
  oTabPageModel1 =
oDialogModel.createInstance("com.sun.star.awt.tab.UnoControlTabPageModel")

  oTabPageModel1.Title = "Page 1"
  oTabPageModel1.Name = "Tab1"

  oButton1 = CreateUnoService("com.sun.star.awt.UnoControlButton")

  oButtonModel1 =

  oButton1.setModel(oButtonModel1)
  oTabPage1.addControl("Tab 1", oButton1)

The tab pages are displayed, but not the buttons, even though they are there in
the tab pages.
