[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115311] UI missing for nesting character styles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115311 --- Comment #14 from Mike Kaganski --- I like Csongor's proposal very much! One thing though. The character's "Default Style" itself doesn't define anything at all. There are no settings there IIUC. And it is not always there at the bottom of the character properties hierarchy. Actually, Character-related settings of *Paragraph properties* are there, and those properties are what is being overridden by higher layers. And the Paragraph properties consist (from top to bottom in terms of Csongor's proposal) of paragraph's Manual formatting, and Paragraph style. The ability to *disable* (uncheck) some direct formatting or styles looks like an extension to ODF (at least I don't know how to disable that at the XML level). I'd suppose that deleting makes sense, an well as dragging style to reorder, and possibly dragging styles from style pane if they can be shown simultaneously. Possibly the default character style still makes sense as a (greyed out) single-line entry right above the Paragraph properties, to make it consistent when the last applied non-default character style gets removed, that one would still stay (instead of appearing only in that case). Possibly it also makes sense to delete direct formatting of paragraph's character-related settings from the character settings explorer. That would make it more universal. And of course, being able to launch the related style's editor dialog is something intuitive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Then in page header I show the same variable. Despite the variable has been set, it is shown as 0. Five years ago there was a similar question 14092 in LO 4.0.0.3, three years ago in LO 5.2.0.4 it still wasn’t changed, today in 6.0.5.2 it is still a bug… Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set variable (in menu Insert → click on Insert fields = or press CTRL+F2 → go to Variables card → go to Set variable → choose one or in Name write its name → then in the Value field write its value). 2. Then in page header I insert the same variable (CTRL+F2, instead of set variable, I use: set variable). Actual Results: Despite the variable has been set, it is shown as 0. Expected Results: The field should show the variable’s value (not 0). Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Yes, the variable is shown AFTER it has been set, inside the document. Sometimes, because it worked, until it stopped working. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79998 Markus Mohrhard changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |enhancement --- Comment #18 from Markus Mohrhard --- There is no easy fix for this as it is acutally a MS Excel bug. The exported XLSX file by LibreOffice is correct according to the spec. Excel has an internal limit of 31 characters for sheet names (that is an actual limit for XLS). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105298 --- Comment #24 from LibreTraining --- OK. I now do understand what this Avenir LT Std is doing. What threw me is there are two R,B,I,BI mods. But the BAD news is they do not work properly on LibreOffice. LO does not display the fonts correctly. And the dialogs are inconsistent in displaying the correct bold font selected. Which I see as additional evidence of why it looks wrong. Saved the ODT test doc to DOCX, reapplied the font selections to the BAD displays. Word 2016 works properly as expected. The fonts display correctly. They look the same as QuarkXPess and InDesign. By restricting testing to only open source fonts these errors will just continue. Oh well. I will document the error in the Fonts Guide so users will not waste hours trying to get broken features to work with modern font families. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118593 --- Comment #3 from sasu.liuha...@gmail.com --- Tried 5.2.7.2 and it works as expected. It takes a little longer to start than the currently installed version (AppImage issue?), but there is no extra delay opening documents and having a card insert into the reader or not has no effect on anything. Furthermore, the card reader does no react to opening documents (led stays on all the time, not blinking, when a card is in the reader) at all. Tried 4.4.7.2 as well, but it won't start.
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.0.5.2 (x64) Build ID: 54c8cbb85f300ac59db32fe8a675ff7683cd5a16 Threads CPU : 2; OS : Windows 10.0; UI Render : par défaut; Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR); Calc: group -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
