As a result, searches return many confusing & irrelevant hits. In particular, getting help for Calc features is difficult because searches return hits for Writer, and they appear first. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Start Calc using a development build, then Help->LibreOfficeDev Help to open the online documentation. On my system, this opens file:///home/admin/lotest/6.1.1.0.0/opt/libreofficedev6.1/help/en-US/text/scalc/main.html 2. Click the "Module" drop-down and select "Calc" 3. Type "moving" into the search box. RESULTS: A long list of stuff is shown under a "WRITER" heading. Then (have to scroll down) there is a "CALC" heading followed by only two hits, both of which go to "Move or Copy a Sheet". That's it. EXPECTED RESULTS: Similar to what you get when using offline help (same information, possibly different formatting). Using v6.0.3.2, searching for "moving" in offline help returns these as the first hits: cell, rows and columns by drag and drop spreadsheets tab stops on ruler toolbars using guide lines in presentations visible cells only None of these appear in online help search results for Calc except "spreadsheets". When the text alignment is set to vertical (which is way too complicated and needs streamlining) and the 'centre align' option is chosen, the text won't sit in its box properly when dragging the box to size. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make a rectangular box (smallish so your text will be bigger than the box). 2. Insert text as normal in default font (Liberation Sans) with font size 6. 3. Highlight text and select vertical orientation (CTL thing is selected with language option set to Hindi (default). 4. Highlight text and select central alignment. 5. Highlight box and grab corner to resize to text will fit in. 6. Text does not align to the centre of the box. Actual Results: Text does not align correctly as explained Expected Results: Text should automatically sit in the centre of the resized box, just the same as it does when the text is in a horizontal orientation. If the application is started with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen there is change for the better particularly in TABLE_VIEW window and QUERY_VIEW window If I run an install from downloaded Daily Build binaries for with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk Libreoffice uses GTK2 and performance becomes much worse, and has an added problem of multiple screen paints. If I run the latest refreshed build from the Daily_build bibisect repo with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk LibreOffice uses GTK3 and things get worse again this time with severe results in the TABLE_VIEW window. There are also two forms based on a query in the attached file that shows the effect 'multi-line input' has on the tablecontrol. They are all named Query2. If you open form Query2 the tablecontrol scrolls quickly. Try Multi-Line/Query2 and the tablecontrol scrolls more erratically. The querydefinition Query2 is the worst performing of the three. When we parameters for the .png or .jpg file, the image is calculated as soon as we set one parameter, it results in a intermediate result B. Change a parameter, and a new version B will be recalculated from the previous version of B. So the original document is not used for the calculations, but instead the intermediate results. That will not result in an optimal result! For every new version of B, the input should be the original .odt file A. In fact, there should be a OK button before LibreOffice starts calculating the graphical file.
