[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124852] New: Heading characters much too big when copy-paste as GDI metafile

2019-04-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124852

Bug ID: 124852
Summary: Heading characters much too big when copy-paste as GDI
metafile
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de

Steps how to reproduce with Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 2e3b0c5d42d60d46cd9f8b8eda9424b095c63418; Windows 6.1:
0. Open attached Sample Document
1. Double click Source spreadsheet above
2. Select A71:G84
3. for copy
4. Click at the bottom of the test document so that caret flashes there
5. Menu Edit 'Paste Special → GDI Metafile'
» Inserted object looks similar to spreadseeht source, but size of heading
is much too big, so that heading becomes truncated at left and right

a) Works fine with Version: 6.0.5.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 54c8cbb85f300ac59db32fe8a675ff7683cd5a16
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 6.1; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group

b) I am using a copy of an existing user profile, new user profile not yet
   tested
c) Enabled: OpenGL, Hardware Acceleration, Anti Aliasing,
d) Same bad result when I 'copy → paste special' to Draw document
e) Same result when I 'copy → paste special' from Sample document in LibO 6.3
to Text document in LibO 6.0.5.2
f) because of (d), (e) I am pretty sure that the problem is in 'copy', not in
   'paste'
g) result of 'Paste Special → bitmap' looks ok.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

I do have "libreoffice-jave-common" installed. Also in the above message "try

/3/ on my system was /4/ and I have also removed that file.

These changes have made no difference to what I am observing.

In styNums.odt,
change aa style to TextBody; OK; numbering style
(format>para>Outline) is None, as specified for TextBody. Idem for bb, cc,
dd.
Change ee style to TextBody; numbering style List1 remains: this is not
really TextBody. Even ClearDirectFormatting or double-clicking TextBody won't
do it. I have to remove the numbering style 'by hand'. Idem for ff and gg.

2019-04-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 124848
Summary: Parts of svg image not displayed correctly at smaller
zoom levels
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: benbigno...@gmx.de

Description:
I have a svg image with very slim rectangles (staff lines, see attached svg
file).
The screen preview is fine when displayed at zoom level 140% and above.
At zoom level 120% and below, the staff lines are displayed much thicker.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new Writer/Draw/Impress document
2. Insert image file "OOoLilyPond.svg" (see attached)
3. Increase / decrease zoom level

Actual Results:
In Writer/Draw/Impress, when zoom level is set to 120% or less, screen preview
is broken: Staff lines are displayed much too thick.
PDF export and slide show are not affected.

Expected Results:
Image preview should be correct at any zoom level.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
I'm not quite sure if a version earlier than 6.2.2.2 has been affected.
6.1.5.2 release was still without this issue.

To V. Stuart: This functionality would be very helpful to those who are used to
the Alt-based shortcuts of MS Excel. I tried to create menus corresponding to
the ribbon interface in Office 2007, but the menus are appearing after the Help
menu.

The first menu I tried to create is Home with the "Alt+" shortcut as "H". But
since "H" shortcut is assigned to Help menu and Help menu is before the Home
menu, when I press alt+H, the Focus goes to Help menu, not Home menu.
Rearranging menu order will help in my issue, but that feature is broken.

(In reply to Drew Jensen from comment #4)

I think the solution is fairly straight forward.
Move the event where the firebird database is written to disc from out of the
file save function into the connection close function.

How much that would take to move IDK but I'd bet dimes to euros that it would
fix it and fix this new dup issue which is not about the beamer but about
external forms (dataforms embedded in odt/ods/etc files), which act just as the
beamer does.

So; one thing. If you open the ODB before you close the file the external
dataform is in (beamer or doc.drawpage.forms) the update data is visible in the
ODB table, and if still open after you close the odt/ods the data is not lost.
You just have to save the ODB file to make it stick.

Hi Gábor! » and « are already the corrected form of single quotes, please see
"Nyelvfüggő beállítások" tab, and either untick "Csere" under "Egyszeres

Alternatively, pressing undo after an autocorrect replacement undoes the
replacement, and keeps the original form.

By the way, the replaced characters are the following:

Confirming behavior on Windows 10 Ent 64-bit en-US with
Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 74ed80b5744fdfacf9b9c3ef8ab235c64510c20d
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-04-11_04:13:57
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

Selecting and moving an existing Menu class, selected via the Target drop list,
using the dialog does not actually change the menu order.

Likewise, the Add action New Menu dialog will create a new menu--but it is
remains positioned after the last "standard" menu, i.e. after the Help entry.

Adding additional user Menu objects can not subsequently be moved--and any
added remain in sequence as created.

However, I'm not sure if the framework for the menus actually would allow user
order changes of the main menu--and the UI is wrong to offer Move of those
targets.

You are describing two whole issue categories. The opening time is depedent on
the individual file. The more complex a file is, the more time it can take.
There are possibilities to optimise the opening time on a case by case basis.

Likewise, interoperability with MSO is a huge category and we have a multitude
of meta reports collecting these issues.

You have to be more specific for your report to be useful.

For examples on interop issues, visit this page and filter by ooxml in the
search box: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Tracking_Bugs
Then view the dependency trees of these meta reports.

I am closing this.

you can try with an administrative network install, e.g.:

msiexec /a LibreOffice_6.1.6.1_Win_x64.msi TARGETDIR="C:\Program
Files\LibreOffice 6.1"

this will extract the files only without system integration.

i recommend to change the "bootstrap.ini" too, e.g.:

UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/LibreOffice/61

this will create a new user profile folder "61" in %appdata%\LibreOffice

Valid observation, but not clear this needs any fix. The MUFFIN Notebookbar
does hold app frame steady for the Tabbed and Groupedbar Compact modes, while
the Single and Sidebar modes still correctly respond with contextual toolbars
for those objects that require them.

Contextual toolbars for those modes still seems appropriate--there is no
alternative.

One solution might be that context activated toolbars for the Single and
Sidebar modes are placed onto a dynamic deck in the Sidebar--just wrap the
action buttons onto a content panel?

Very MUFFIN!
