Using keyboard navigation to get to the insert table control will always result in the toolbar in which the control is in having focus after table insert. Using the mouse will result in focus returning where it was previous to inserting table. To repro focus not being placed in the first cell of the newly inserted table after insert using keyboard use F6 and arrow keys to keyboard navigate to the insert table control and insert a table. Results: Focus is on toolbar insert table control. Expected Results: see Expected Results below. To repro focus not being place in the first cell of the newly inserted table after insert using mouse: 1) Mouse click on any combo box or control that grabs focus (Set Paragraph Style, Font Name, Fonts Size are some). 2 ) Click on Insert Table control and insert a table. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127254] The number of a footnote cannot be a footnote anchor
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127254 --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- "Footnote Anchor" and "Footnote Characters" are two *character styles* that define the appearance of the relevant symbols. In fact, it is *not* expected that you would need that dialog to modify what you need; instead, it is expected that you open Styles (F11), go to Character styles ("A" button there), right-click "Footnote Characters" and choose "Modify...", and make necessary adjustments (e.g., on the Position tab - set Superscript). I don't know why it was disabled to select the same character style for both numbers in anchors and footnote area; so I don't resolve this yet (that might be intentional, or a bug). But you still can define your own character style for that, or use any other style from the list. Remember, the predefined styles are not set in stone, they are for you to begin with and fine-tune to your liking. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127252] Priority ordering of conditional formatting in Calc as proposed in Bug 74074, Comment 19, a) does not work, b) is not sufficient.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127252 --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- In essence: in columns D, G, H, L, M, P, Q, V, there should not be any cell colouring but grey, since that's what the first matching condition tells. I confirm this to be broken (having blue cells with numbers in those columns) with Version: 6.3.1.1 (x64) Build ID: e979878b49a48dab15ebe528f238b88125e32c65 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded The feature request (about different conditional formats in possibly different overlapping ranges) must not be handled along with the bug report, so please file it separately, and ignore it here. The part about #2 ("columns between row 2 and row 55 are colored ... do not be fooled by the progressive coloring of the rows") - this seems to be misunderstanding. The color scale conditional format does not differentiate between rows and columns; it is applied to the range as a whole, and it analyzes all the cells in the whole range to decide which value would get which color (e.g., put 2500 to Z53, and see that all other numeric cells in all rows/columns get ~white). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127252 Bug ID: 127252 Summary: Priority ordering of conditional formatting in Calc as proposed in Bug 74074, Comment 19, a) does not work, b) is not sufficient. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.0.beta2+ Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: marc.cla...@gmail.com Description: This is a follow-up on bug 74074 (on which I added comments 21 to 23 - but somewhat fumbled, I'm afraid... ;-) I just installed v. 6.3.0.4, and I noticed following effects: Ordering of the conditional formatting priority, as set in the “Conditional” menu → “Manage...” item → “Edit...” pop-up window with the "Up"- and "Down"-button, is not honored. Apparently (but this has not been tested in further depth) "Colorscale"-types of conditional formatting seem to always have top priority. Steps to Reproduce: Please see attachment file "Cond_Form_Ex_20190815.ods", in which I added conditional formatting as well as normal formatting as follows (all formatting and conditional formatting is done to range A2:Z55): 1. the full range A2:Z55 is coloured yellow (unconditional), 2. columns between row 2 and row 55 are colored depending on their value between white (for minimum) and blue (for maximum) (do not be fooled by the progressive coloring of the rows – that is an effect of their progressive numbering, NOT of conditional formatting! The "Colorscale"-type cond. formatting is to the COLUMNS!), 3. any non-numeric or non-empty cells in the range are colored red, 4. any column between row 2 and row 55 is greyed when the cell in row 1 (of that column) is empty. Actual Results: grey has priority over red (see cell H52 and M52), but blue always has top priority… Expected Results: priority to grey, then to red, then to blue (see order in “Conditional” menu → “Manage...” item → “Edit...” pop-up window) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Additionally (but that is a feature request as well as a bug report...) when multiple conditional formats apply (even to different – but overlapping! - ranges), the order of priority of these should ALSO be changeable (with an “Up” and “Down” button in “Conditional” menu → “Manage...” pop-up window)! Yes, Heiko, being limited in resources one has to decide the order in which one attacks the problems. But in software development an idea what the ultimate target should look like must be present. Sometimes you better ideas arise during implementation. Then it is time to adapt the final target but update it, to avoid going back and forth. On the other hand, there are things which probably can be done with minimum effort and risk, we can label them as quick wins. Therefore it is worth to paint a "big picture" as you did in your report and to paint smaller but still not tiny pictures as I did. Just follow Einstein's rule: Let us make things as simple as possible, but not beyond that point! Devising the targets sometimes exceeds a "one page limit". 1. Being able to sort tracked changes in the List representation by appearance in the document is of the quick win category: There already is a sort function for other columns and probably it is the same sort function which is used to sort any multi column list. When you start Edit>Track Changes>Manage Changes, the List representation is initially sorted by appearance in the document: I just verified it in my revised version of your document: Just open Mange Changes>List and click on the first item in it, then press the arrow down key and observe the document window. To achieve such a test case, I deliberately did several revising readings and applied changes to your text: I wanted changes by time to be in non consecutive order in the text. Once the List is sorted by another column, you won't be able to return to the by-appearance-sorting other than closing Manage Changes and reopen it. Just calling the function which is already used when initially starting Manage Changes would create a sorted list by appearance. But one has to apply it after every tracked editing step in the document because it introduces a new change. Additionally one needs some user interface element for it: an item with a check mark "Order by appearance in the document" which gets automatically unchecked, if one sorts the List representation by some other column. 2. You already can click on an item in the Manage Changes>List to navigate the document to the changed position. So even if the data with the pointers to the changed places do not look well for human readers, one could sort by it. Adding that is of the quick win category. 3. Scrolling the List representation in parallel to cursor movements in the document and highlighting it in the List representation might be out off the quick win category: One has to search for the associated position of the current cursor position in Manage Changes List representation. After locating the corresponding piece in the List, one has to scroll that window such that becomes visible (possibly centred to the displayed window if things are cropped at the top or at the bottom) and then - if the document window's cursor is on a change, it would require to highlight that change in the List representation. If the document cursor is on unaltered text, a line between the two adjacent changes should be displayed. Therefore, your proposed next step, to "focus the selection" is a bit out of the very quick win category - but not very much! Some quick wins are on the way however. 4. My ideas to only highlight changes in the text which are selected according to Mange Track Changes > tab Filter and let all Preceding/Next Change, or Accept/Reject All Changes operate only on the selected set is currently not available. You see it by selecting Insertions in Manage Changes>Filter>Action: Deletions are still highlighted in the document window. Adding such a function probably requires medium effort: It is already there - but only partially: Between the two tabs of Manage Changes, not with respect to the document window. (BTW: I would think of unite the two tabs in one). Finally: all these ideas fit under a common headline: The text window and the Manage Changes window should be coordinated! So we are not inviting someone to get lost in space. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
