[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131317] New: BUTTON WITH MACRO IN CALC HAS TO BE PUSHED TWICE TO DO ALL THE WORK.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131317 Bug ID: 131317 Summary: BUTTON WITH MACRO IN CALC HAS TO BE PUSHED TWICE TO DO ALL THE WORK. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: romrod...@outlook.com Description: If I run a macro via a button, I have to press it 2 or more times to get all the macro done. If you do it via the macro editor, it works flawlessly. I have attached a .ods with an example. It deletes the cell value on some columns and then pastes the value from the "master" colum. The first time you press the button, it just deletes everything. The second or third time, it normally finishes the work. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attachment 2. Push the button. Everything will be deleted as it should. 3. Push the button another time (or more). It pastes the numbers as it should 4. Repeat it via the macro editor. It works from the firs time. Actual Results: After pushing the button once, it deletes the values in the columns with a pink cell above. After the second or third time, you see that it pastes the value from the "DA" column. Expected Results: After pushing the button 1, it should have deleted the values and restore them. Running the macro via the macro editor works just fine. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: It may be related to this bug: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70883 The first line of the macro is the "workaround" suggested in this bug report. Also, if you clic on a random cell after pushing the button you may have the expected result from the first time. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131182] new menu item: DOCUMENT, or a new sub-menu item FILES / Outline (enhancement, development)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131182 Adolfo Jayme changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #6 from Adolfo Jayme --- I’ll go ahead and mark this as WONTFIX for a reason I will state in a moment, and with this action I don’t mean to imply that we do not welcome UX suggestions — rather the opposite! But you should weigh the consequences of making any changes to menus, and those are an increasingly painful weight put on the shoulders of documentation writers and translators, all of whom are volunteers who gain nothing from the extra effort to update their content to reflect endless UI changes. Also, users themselves are affected in that they are forced to re-learn where things are in each release. In the past we had a contributor, J. P., who implemented many menu changes in a very rapid pace, without giving a real chance to others in the documentation and l10n teams to give input. Since he was met with little friction, he went on like this for a few releases. Now we have sizable problems in updating now-obsolete help strings (since he didn’t bother with it and discrepancies were only noticed individually by bug reporters afterwards), and translators (some of them like me, polyglots who work on several languages, and in many cases in charge only by themselves of the whole translation to their languages) had to deal with the fallout. I, personally, haven’t been able to again complete to 100% the help translations to Spanish and Asturian since then, and a few years have passed! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131316] New: EDITING / UI: Feature Request for key sequence mapping
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131316 Bug ID: 131316 Summary: EDITING / UI: Feature Request for key sequence mapping Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ja...@veith.net Customize>Keyboard>Edit is insufficient. See appended list of sometimes very old related and existing bugs. None of this bugs complains about the missing possibility to assign free key sequences additional to static key shortcut combinations. Implementation requires a state machine to the keyboard input and there are several other editors who do this very nice. This feature typically allows (at least partly) emulation of other editors. Customization result allows configurations far away from Windows default UI style. Once implemented, it can also used to realize any OS or other user flavour editors typical behaviour. Going back to the roots, the DOS StarWriter by Marco Börries StarDivision was in fact a Wordstar clone who makes extensive use of those shortcut key sequences. Very effective speed editing without any mouse. Some examples of other editors keymap customizations: Ultra Edit implemented key sequence feature in latest versions. See one of the discussions about here: http://forums.ultraedit.com/emacs-keybindings-t1875-s10.html Textmaker is a modern UI multi OS editor what shows nice implementation of the customize keyboard dialog including free key sequences. For testing, please use the demo version of Textmaker included in Softmaker Office. Avoid testing Textmaker included in FreeOffice. FreeOffice disabled this feature in latest version 2018 while there was a setup for predefined "classic" keymap until version 2016. Eclipse is a modern multi OS IDE what shows nice implementation of customize keybard dialog including free key sequences. Download to test with default editor is sufficient, no plugin required. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131315] New: Index: Implement letter by letter alphabetising
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131315 Bug ID: 131315 Summary: Index: Implement letter by letter alphabetising Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: greenandpleasant2000-supp...@yahoo.co.uk The current system wrongly indexes entries containing non-alphanumeric characters. For example, you cannot put an apostrophe at the beginning of an entry because this causes it to be indexed under the apostrophe, rather than the letter! And if a non-alphanumeric occurs in the middle of an entry, the entry will be listed in an unexpected order. LO needs to implement an accepted worldwide standard which allows for non-alphanumeric characters: i.e. the LETTER BY LETTER system of alphabetising indexes. This system is detailed at https://www.press.uchicago.edu/Misc/Chicago/CHIIndexingComplete.pdf (Chicago Manual of Style. To give an example. This (AFAIK) is a CORRECTLY indexed series of entries (letter by letter): "Bell, Andrew, 413 Bell, book, and candle 36 Bell, Garden, the 175, 651 Bell Hotel, The 559pp. Bellmen 116 Bell-ringers, the 205, 380, 578 Bells of the Parish Church 173" However, this is how it is INCORRECTLY indexed by LO: "Bell Hotel, The 559pp. Bell-ringers, the 205, 380, 578 Bell, Andrew, 413 Bell, book, and candle 36 Bell, Garden, the 175, 651 Bellmen 116 Bells of the Parish Church 173" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When I try to open it (with LO), it asks for a password but does not always recognise it. For example, The saved p/w "Thedeerhunter-22" produces a "wrong password" error message. The saved password "horses" allows a file to be re-opened. The same problem occurs when opening the LO file in Microsoft Office. Is this a problem of password length or invalid - character? Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a new Calc spreadsheet, 2.Save it with a password, then quit LO. 3.Right-click on the file to open in LO and enter the password. Actual Results: File opens if saved using short password above. File does not open if saved with long password above, with the error message "The password is incorrect. The file cannot be opened." [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131311] No keyboard shortcut for search and replace
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131311 --- Comment #2 from French.l10n --- The Search and Replace keyboard shortcut Ctrl-H is missing whenever all the other Ctrl-* shortcuts are offered. I am using the French UI and couldn’t check is the problem is specific to that language or generalized. Expected: Have Ctrl-H to invoke the Search and Replace feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
