[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137466] Microsoft Word document docx with content controls gets lost when opened with Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137466 --- Comment #5 from Harish --- I think you didn't even have a look at the Bug description. The screenshot clearly has all the details mentioned. How does an option setting involve here? I have tried all the possible ways that I can, only after which tried to log a bug to get the experts comment. To my knowledge, Content Controls are not even supported in Libre. You didn't even try to address that too. Atleast take time to load the attached docx file in your Libre Office writer to see whats happening. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

That affects changes done with > the mouse. Disable the options in menu View > Snap Guides. This really does the trick to get rid off the granularity. > > There a several ways to determine exact position and size of a line: > > A) To make arrow keys only affect one point, select the line, then press > Ctrl+Tab. Then the first point should slowly blink. Now you can move this > point with the arrow keys. Next Ctrl+Tab goes to the next point. > This is also a very valuable hint. > B) Do it numerically by using the Position dialog. Set the Base point > for the Position so, that it corresponds to the first point of the line. > Enter the coordinates. OK. Again Position dialog. Set the Base point > for the Size and the Base point for the Position so that it corresponds to > the first point of the line. That makes this point fix while resizing. Then > set width and height to get the desired second point of the line. If you > want to keep the direction of the line, check "Keep ratio" before entering > new values. > > C) Set snap points at the desired positions. Enable "Snap to Snap Guides". > Now you can drag each point of the line to a snap point where it is caught. > > In case you have to work on points of a polyline: > Press F8 to switch into Point edit mode. Now you can click a point with the > mouse and drag it to the desired place, or use Ctrl+Tab and arrow keys. > > For your special illustration you have in addition these options: > > D) Do it in Calc and enter the line directly into the chart. That's another possibility. However one has to place an arbitrary line first somewhere on the spreadsheet part and later move its start and end point to the plot, because one can not start or end a line in the plot. But that's feasible too, although it looks like one is confined to the standard arrow head size. > > E) Use a Linear Regression line in Calc, directly in the chart, and set the > intersection to the desired start value. > > I suggest "Works for me". Yes, the main question is solved and no change in the programming is really necessary to make a graph like the one I wanted to produce. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88559] Display of inherited attributes from parent styles in Styles dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88559 --- Comment #15 from Caolán McNamara --- Well, I don't really have any good answers wrt any specific solution, digging around similar software doesn't show anything obvious to follow as a model. But from a weld api view we use e.g. "set_message_type" to indicate that an Entry contains an error and not specify how it indicates that error. So I could imagine something similar that leaves it up to each backend to figure out what to do to make that happen in the context of their own capabilities. Maybe adding some "reset" to right context menus avoids the clutter of extra buttons for that functionality, maybe labels are underlined or widget backgrounds set to some appropriate theme color. Maybe something like this feature shouldn't be on all the time, but only if some togglebutton in the button area is depressed. Such a special state would give a little more leeway in that a backend could then position a little "reset" button over the middle of widgets to allow them to be designated reset-back-to-parent. Having a toggle to enable some sort of "overlay" like that would sidestep visual clutter and any need to change any widget layout. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 33495] Minimizing or resize the presenter screen while presentation is active (UI)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33495 --- Comment #28 from John Hartman --- (In reply to Timur from comment #24) > We have many reports and users here and this looks desired and I hope not > too tough to make, once volunteer steps in. > In the meantime, we can just use Alt+Tab to switch window and come back. Alt-tab is a poor work-around in some cases: many of us are relying heavily on Zoom meetings these days. When you screen-share in Zoom, Zoom places a narrow control panel at the top of the screen, which floats on top of shared applications if they are maximized or smaller than screen size. But if the shared application is full screen, it covers the Zoom control panel, so you can't see notifications etc. Alt-Tab is a reasonable way to access a hidden application to DO something, but it is a clumsy way to poll for incoming chats or other notifications. I understand that LibreOffice owes nothing to Zoom, but there are probably a lot of us sharing Impress presentations in Zoom meetings. So this is just a vote to raise the priority of the feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
