[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137466] Microsoft Word document docx with content controls gets lost when opened with Writer

2020-10-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137466

I think you didn't even have a look at the Bug description. The screenshot
clearly has all the details mentioned.
How does an option setting involve here?
I have tried all the possible ways that I can, only after which tried to log a
bug to get the experts comment.
To my knowledge, Content Controls are not even supported in Libre.
You didn't even try to address that too.
Atleast take time to load the attached docx file in your Libre Office writer to
see whats happening.

Thanks for reporting.

This issue is likely the same as the one reported in bug 137248, which has been
fixed in master and 7-0 branches.

Please test a daily build (https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/) if
you can or wait for 7.0.3 release scheduled mid-November.

Dear u2nBz,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

The "Good" 140% sample in this image is distorted compared to what it should
look like alongside the 100% one, right? It should be the same width, and
taller, while in the sample it is the same height, and narrower.

At least when I look at the test document without Skia rendering, or in the
second attached screenshot, it seems to be the same width, and only the height
changes (which corresponds to Ming Hua's explanation from comment 8).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129948] ~r is double assigned in French UI

The "Match case" checkbox in the Edit > Find and Replace... dialog (hope this
is what TorrAB is referring to, I don't speak French and find the previous
discussion a bit convoluted) is the following string, KeyID 75TZD:
https://weblate.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_ui-master/svxmessages/fr/?checksum=ab428eb692c8accd

So according to Weblate the translation for this string hasn't changed since
6.4, and has always been translated to "Respecter la _casse", which means in
French UI Alt+C is the keyboard shortcut (also the c in casse should be
underlined in French UI).

Or are we talking about a different string elsewhere?

The bug no longer exists because ‘R’ is no longer underlined in ‘Respecter la
casse’. ~r opens Formulaire, as expected.
But this shortcut could be restored by activating (and underlining) ‘p’ instead
of ‘R’ in ‘Respecter la casse’.

Sorry for making you feel this way. Yes I could test on 7.0.1/7.0.2/master
using your sample document and decide if it's a duplicate without your further
input, but I don't have a recent daily build installed and it would definitely
not be "5 seconds" work.

As Uwe Auer said we are all volunteers helping LO in our free time. I don't
want to give you a negative impression about LO community, but hope you can
understand that we have limited time and sometimes expect bug reporters to do a
bit of extra work.

This is most likely the same issue as in bug 137248 though, which has been

you can or wait for 7.0.3 release scheduled mid-November.

Mike, I'm not hurt and I haven't read the comments in the way as others have
done apparently. You're right that we all have different age, first language,
education, culture ... and we should discuss as unemotional as possible. I'm no
exception. -- Sometimes it seems to be hard to convince others from the own
idea and to put that into the right words especially for people with
non-English first language. That also causes some misunderstandings. -- This is
no chat room but a board for discussing technical issues. We should make clear,
_short_ and unemotional comments.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137516] New: support for 4k monitors in personalization

2020-10-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137516

Bug ID: 137516
Summary: support for 4k monitors in personalization
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tauriawri...@gmail.com

Description:
When selecting a theme in Personalization, the toolbar doesn't change
completely, unless I'm using the Groupedbar Compact toolbar (I prefer to use
Standard!).

I've got a screenshot, which you can view here:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/377175958039560218/766409606867189780/unknown.png.

The toolbar DOES go completely dark if I have two windows side-by-side.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use a monitor with 4k capability
2. Set toolbar to Dark Mode.
3.

Actual Results:
A chunk of white was cut into the toolbar, while the rest was dark.

Expected Results:
The toolbar should have gone completely to dark mode.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Calc File Showing Auto-recalculate problem

I'm using LibreOffice v7.0.2.2 on Windows 10.

I've attached a spreadsheet that is an anonymized sheet, with dummy values,
from a larger spreadsheet. The only calculations on this sheet are SUM() and
addition.

If I change one of the amounts for one of the checking accounts, the "Total
Checking" amount will update immediately, but totals farther down, such as
"Total Savings" and "Adjusted Total Savings" do not update until I press F9.
This is true on two different Windows 10 systems.

Data > Calculate > AutoCalculate is on. Tools > Options > LibreOffice Calc >
Formula > Recalculation on File Load is set to "Always recalculate" for both
"Excel 2007 and newer" and for "ODF spreadsheet (not saved by LibreOffice):"

All of the totals do update automatically on the same computers using the
latest PortableApps version of OpenOffice and using PortableApps version
7.0.1.2 of LibreOffice.

At the beginning of the help page

there is a screenshot which is outdated in version 7.0 and 7.1.

It shows the dialog window of File > Export As > Export as PDF > General tab

In 7.0 there is missing PDF/A-3b, in 7.1 there is missing PDF/A-3b and PDF/UA.
And in both versions there are fewer settings in the Structure section.

That's not how i read his/her comment.

The bug was set to "needsinfo" which in every other bug tracker i've used means

Currently neither character, nor paragraph direct formatting is shown for text
in table cells. Would be great to show those, too.

After adding the feature, test inserting various objects (eg. shapes), and make
sure there is no crash, to avoid bugs like bug 137105.

That's another possibility. However one has to place an arbitrary line first
somewhere on the spreadsheet part and later move its start and end point to the
plot, because one can not start or end a line in the plot. But that's feasible
too, although it looks like one is confined to the standard arrow head size.

Yes, the main question is solved and no change in the programming is really
necessary to make a graph like the one I wanted to produce.

Only my side finding that the arrow head size change is not honoured remains
open. Shall I create a new bug report for that?

2020-10-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88559

Well, I don't really have any good answers wrt any specific solution, digging
around similar software doesn't show anything obvious to follow as a model.

But from a weld api view we use e.g. "set_message_type" to indicate that an
Entry contains an error and not specify how it indicates that error. So I could
imagine something similar that leaves it up to each backend to figure out what
to do to make that happen in the context of their own capabilities.

Maybe adding some "reset" to right context menus avoids the clutter of extra
buttons for that functionality, maybe labels are underlined or widget
backgrounds set to some appropriate theme color.

Maybe something like this feature shouldn't be on all the time, but only if
some togglebutton in the button area is depressed. Such a special state would
give a little more leeway in that a backend could then position a little
"reset" button over the middle of widgets to allow them to be designated
reset-back-to-parent. Having a toggle to enable some sort of "overlay" like
that would sidestep visual clutter and any need to change any widget layout.

Alt-tab is a poor work-around in some cases: many of us are relying heavily on
Zoom meetings these days. When you screen-share in Zoom, Zoom places a narrow
control panel at the top of the screen, which floats on top of shared
applications if they are maximized or smaller than screen size. But if the
shared application is full screen, it covers the Zoom control panel, so you
can't see notifications etc. Alt-Tab is a reasonable way to access a hidden
application to DO something, but it is a clumsy way to poll for incoming chats
or other notifications.

I understand that LibreOffice owes nothing to Zoom, but there are probably a
lot of us sharing Impress presentations in Zoom meetings. So this is just a
vote to raise the priority of the feature.

Initially I do insert a table into empty slide
Just after inserting I try to hit Del to delete table - no effect
Then I use "Cut" tool to delete table - no effect

Then I try to find the spot to mark the table without making it "Blue"; once
manage to select it this way, I can finally delete the table.

Fields in page body don't have any problem.
This problem is not present when I create individual pdf files neither when I
create individual odt files.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a two page mailling document with field use in page headers
2.print to one file
3.open odt created
