2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120284

autocorrection is still like shit in LO7.1 :

used russian language, have set autocorrection on type.
default rules have:
1) -- : –
   -->  : →
   -+ : ±

ok, try type --> , and on '>' it corrects two first chars, so have
   -->  : –>
expects that will bw used longer rule so --> should change to →

if type a-->, it keep char after letter, so have
   a-->  : a–→
it not better

if try to enter -+ - it not autocorrects. So looks like autocorrect on -+
mulfunction completely.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132518] PIVOTTABLE: Filter by year in Drop-down filter window doesn't work

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132518

I find a workaround for this issue as follows:
1- edit the pivot table by right click on it and choose Proprieties.
2- Drag the Date field from Filter section to Row Fields. Then click on OK.
3- left click on any cells of Date, then from menu bar select "Data ---> Group
and Outline ---> Group".
4- On the "Group by" section select "Years" only. Then click on "OK" button.
5- repeat steps 1 to 2 but now return Date field to the Filter Section. Then OK
button.

Now you can filter by year in Drop-down filter.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 34552] EDITING: Calc loses row height value when modifying a cell

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34552

I tried and can confirm the bug is still present with the below version:

Version: 7.0.4.2
Build ID: dcf040e67528d9187c66b2379df5ea4407429775
CPU threads: 12; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.7; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Here is what I did:

- clicked the row label of row #8
- clicked the background color icon on the toolbar and changed it black
- pressed Command-Z (MacOS equivalent of Ctrl-Z on Windows)

As opposed to the original bug report, the height hasn't been changed when I
changed the color to black. But changed it when I used undo.

So, the bug is still there, just in a different shape.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81779] Cut operations don't remove the image attached to the last paragraph of the document (copy and undo work)

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81779

Dear László Németh,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67943] ACCESSIBILITY: Issues with tabbed dialogs on Mac OS X

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67943

Dear Niklas Johansson,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140494] New: Typing lag--Input lags very far behind keystrokes

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140494

Bug ID: 140494
Summary: Typing lag--Input lags very far behind keystrokes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: adcastelle...@gmail.com

Description:
I'm running !Pop OS 20.10 and Libreoffice 7.1. However, this problem was been
with me since somewhere in Version 6. My hardware is Ryzen 7 37600 processor
with 16 Gb and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile graphics processor.

What happens is that when I type in any LibreOffice application, there is a
long lag between when I hit a key and the letter or number appearing on screen.
It is very pronoucned in Calc, but also noticeable in Writer. With an empty
Writer document, the typing looks just fine until about 40 characters in, then
the lag shows up and increases as I type. I can see a lag between keystroke as
long as five seconds or even more. I installed FreeOffice to check whether the
issue is with my system or hardware. There is no lag in FreeOffice nor in Abi
Word. This seems to only happen in Libreoffice. I tried disabling OpenCL,
disabling Java, and increasing the application memory. None of this fixed the
issue. Oddly enough, when the Nvidia driver is disabled, things work fine;
there's no lag. This appears to be some kind of compatibility issue with
Libreoffice and the Nvidia graphics card.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Writer or Calc and start typing. The lag shows up right away.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
For me, all it takes is starting Writer or Calc and typing something into a
document or spreadsheet cell. I noticed this first with a complicated financial
spreadsheet.

Expected Results:
I saw increasing lag between my keystroke and the characters I typed showing up
on screen.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
There should be no noticeable delay between hitting the keyboard and seeing
text or numbers appear on screen.

Note, although Open GL is currently enabled, I have tried disabling it to no
avail.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140492] New: 5 bugs related to tables

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140492

Bug ID: 140492
Summary: 5 bugs related to tables
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: donromamein...@sbcglobal.net

1. Create a table of 'X' number of columns, 'Y' number of rows. Highlight all
columns; select center data. The first cell of the last column is not
centered, or highlight all rows; selected center data. The last cell of the
first column is not centered.

2. Create a table of 'X' number of columns, 'Y' number of rows. Create a
second table of 'X' number of columns, 'Y' number of rows. Merge the two
tables by deleting the blank line between the two tables. Now highlight one of
the columns. Notice the highlighted column does not extend beyond the first
table. Once the tables have been merged, they should become one table.

3. Using the two tables in problem 2. You cannot highlight rows beyond the
first table.

4. Create a numbered list (say 3 numbers). Now highlight the wordage of the
first number. Cut this information and paste it into any column of a table.
Notice the line is copied with the next number of the numbered list. Deleting
the number does not let the copied information go to the start of the column.

5. Let's say you have a table of ten columns and you decide to delete the
first five columns. When the five columns are selected and the delete command
is given. The selected columns are not deleted but merged into the sixth
column. The first column is now the size of the first six columns. This is
not right.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I can confirm that currently the string
"Decimal places" mentioned by the reporter is translated to
"Dezimaltrennzeichen":
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_ui-master/dbaccessmessages/de/?checksum=d2b74cd2ae203aa

Although I don't speak German and can not judge if it's wrong and if
"Nachkommastellen" would be the correct translation, there is at least another
string "Decimal places:" that is translated to "Nachkommastellen:":
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_ui-master/cuimessages/de/?checksum=d2bf794764e71c0a

As https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Language_Teams only lists a mailing list
as the contact for the German translation team, and adding arbitrary email
address to CC doesn't work on Bugzilla, I'm also adding Julien to CC as he has
helped with l10n bugs in the past.

Running way ahead.. maybe one of your weldings.. There was a similar issue back

but pure speculation at this point.. bibisect will tell eventually

Description:
Lag/delay of menus because of canvas content (gifs) in GDI/SKIA mode. However
CPU usage only triggered on hoover over)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attachment 164857 (nasty file, animating stuff, if it renders)
2. expand a menu and hoover over items.. notice the lag.. and CPU increase.. so
menu's directly tied to canvas content; doesn't seem ideal
3. Open Help -> About again delay painting

Actual Results:
Lag when hoovering over items

Expected Results:
Not so

Reproducible: Always

Sample XLSX

Open the attached spreadsheet, and check the chart.

=> It's linear, and single-colored.

It should be exponential and two-colored, see attached exported PDF.

Observed using LO 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (cbcec4425e04e3614a2025b49fdc221216ac51d3),
7.0.0.3 / Ubuntu.
Looks different in 6.4.0.3, it has the expected two colors, but is still
linear.
Looks fine in 6.2.0.3.

This is a regression that happened in two steps. First the chart became linear
with the following commit. Adding CC: to Balazs Varga.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140488] New: unable to create read-only copy when opening document opened by other samba share user

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140488

Bug ID: 140488
Summary: unable to create read-only copy when opening document
opened by other samba share user
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jelledej...@powercraft.nl

steps to reproduce:

1. have a document (odt, docx, etc) on a samba smb3 share (oplocks enabled or
disabled did not make a diffrence).

2. open the document with libreoffice 6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1~lo1 as userA

3. open the document with libreoffice as userB

4.. warning shows up that document is opened by userA, choose to read-only or
create a copy...

5. either choosing read-onluy or create-copy will produce an access denied
error or empty document.

6. trying to copy the file as userB while opened as userB will also create
errors with the caja file-manger under Linux Mint 20.

My guess is that libreoffice creates some kind of kernel file lock that also
disables the read access instead of only taking away the write access.

Then in our setup that also include Collabra (paid support), when Collabora has
an document opened, then opening the document with LibreOffice from the samba
share does not create any errors or warnings that the document is in use,
causing all kind or unwanted situations. However Collabra does throw an error
that it can not read the document when the document was first opened with
LibreOffice.

Any help is appreciated, would like my customers and organizations to be able
to use LibreOffice on shared samba drives without the risk of data loss
(happened a few times with end-users that did not understand fully what was
going on)

Fair enough.

Let's expand the dropdown if the number of previous searches matching the
current input is less than 20, or so. To avoid too much noise I would start not
before 3 characters have been entered.

Would have bet that we discussed this before but cannot find a ticket.

No further input at the design meeting (or rather the announcement). Besides
the questionable accessibility (requires very precise clicks) fields don't have
a special contextual handling. The implementation implies therefore some
effort.

Personally think it's a WF but let's keep the ticket.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51138] Editing a FONTWORK is difficult

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #16)
> The issue is that when editing fontwork it keeps the design in the
> background which is odd for the readability of text. What comes in mind is:
> a) hide the fontwork design
> b) grey-out/watermark the design
> c) temporarily revert stretching and rotation effects (similar to
> d) edit the content in a separate dialog

b) has clearly an advantage over a), c) might work for MSO but is unclear with
all the features we have, and d) sounds like the simplest solution. Any of the
four improves the situation.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140076] Frame loses horizontal position when moved vertically..

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140076

Let me try and explain the issue again, as perhaps I didn’t do the best job the
first time..

In the attached file, if you double click on the frame, to get the frame
properties, then under the tab “type” you will see the position of “horizontal”
is “right”.

Now if you close that properties box, click on the frame and press down arrow,
so the frame moves downward, and then double click on the frame again to get
the properties box, you will see that the horizontal position is no longer
“right” but “from left” by 11.07cm ..

it looks like it is still position to the right margin, but it is actually
position relative to the left margin.. which means that wwhen I resize the
document, I have to reposition it to the right margin.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140355] Images in frame growing after DOCX export

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140355

>From Bug 140370

Created attachment 169822 [details]
The original file with slightly resized table and its docx version

This is not the usual image+caption in a frame, but images and text in a table.

Resizing the table makes the scaling of the left image change:
from 59% width and 65% height
to 50% width and 63% height.

The scaling export bug makes the 50% width becoming 63%, so it does no longer
fit in the cell and the right side disappears.
But manually changing the values fixes the layout for me.

I strongly believe this is another way to better visualize the scaling export
problem in bug #140355

2021-02-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Summary: LibreOffice 7.1 cannot save odb files created in

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lio...@mamane.lu

Description:
It looks like some ODB files created by previous versions open OK in 7.1, but
then cannot be saved anymore. The "save" button just has no action, and if one
asks to save on quit, LibreOffice doesn't quit.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open attached crm.odb
2. if asked, don't enable macros
3. the "save" icon has no red dot because no change has been made.
4. in "Forms", right click on "contacts"
5. in the context menu, click "rename"
6. change name to "ccontacts"
7. click OK
8. in main window, the "save" icon now has a red dot.
9. click the "save" icon
10. menu file, close
11. question appears: save changes to document "crm" before closing
12. answer "save" to the question

Actual Results:
After step 9: nothing happens. The odb file is not changed, and the save icon
still has a red dot.

After step 12: nothing happens. The odb file is not changed, the odb file is
not closed and the save icon still has a red dot.

Expected Results:
After step 9: The odb file should be rewritten on disk, and the save icon
should not have a red dot.

At step 11: no question should be asked, since the file should already be
saved. The file should be closed.

After step 12: the file is closed

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140105] The TAB character is removed when used 3 lines in a row in writer.

I can also confirm this issue on v 7.1.1.1

As a bit of clarification, this is not using the bulleted or order list options
to create the list formatting for you. The indenting is generated with TABs as
mentioned by Dan, and then one of the TABs is automatically removed when adding
a new line.

This could (at least) be annoying for users that copy text from a text file,
and then begin to make changes in LO Writer.

Here are the steps I take to reproduce the issue:

1. Use TAB to indent a line and type 'a.' then SPACE, and then some text
   >a. first line of text
2. Hit ENTER to start a new line
3. Repeat Step 1 to create a second line of text
   >b. second line of text
4. Hit ENTER to start a new line
5. Repeat Step 1 to create a third line of text
   >c. third line of text
6. Hit ENTER

The result is that a new line is created and the indentation of the third line
is removed.

a. first line of text
b. second line of text
c. third line of text

Note: If you fix this by going back up a line and re-adding the TAB to before
the 'c.' you can then go back down (with ARROW key) to the new line and the 'c.
' line is left alone. But if you add another line ('d. some text') and then hit
ENTER, the same thing happens again. However, if you do the same thing AGAIN
with a 5th line ('e. some text') it doesn't happen.

ADDITIONALLY...

The TAB character is removed on the FIRST line when using other list characters
'1.' (with decimal), 'I.' (with decimal) and '*' (no decimal).

So, for example...

1. Use TAB to indent a line and type '1.' then SPACE, and then some text
   >1. first line of text
2. Hit ENTER to start a new line

The result is that a new line is created but the indentation of the third line
is removed.

1. first line of text

I have not seen it happen (yet) with other easily typeable characters (#, $, >)
that I imagine someone might use to create a list. I have not yet experimented
with other characters that might be copied from another file.
