It's not obvious what the value of this is, let's just ignore the "direction". * Selections exclude the start and end position except if it's a fully selected node or at the start or end of a section (i.e. Ctrl+A should also select every at-para fly). * An exception is made in case the selection looks like it's a backspace/delete joining 2 paragraphs; flys are not deleted in that case because it seemed annoying (and as it happens, Word does not appear to delete flys in that case), particularly if both of the nodes are already empty. This is done with a heuristic, it's conceivable to pass down some flag from DelLeft()/DelRight() but probably this is good enough. A special hack is needed to keep writerfilter happy for now; it likes to anchor flys at nodes which it then deletes in RemoveLastParagraph(), which likely could be improved there. The ALLFLYS usage in SwRangeRedline::MoveFromSection() could be removed (because the end-of-section check already handles the case) except for this, because it turns out that the ODF import runs SetRedlineFlags with a temporarily reset IsInXMLImport() flag because of its effect in thints.cxx, so during the move IsSelectFrameAnchoredAtPara() can't check it. tdf#108124 scenario works better, now everything that's selected is both copied and deleted. Fixes the problem where an at-para fly at the 2nd node of a redline where the 1st node is partially deleted was lost on ODF export. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I propose, that a five-fold click somewhere in a cell selects the whole table. One might then manipulate its properties. Presently a four-fold click selects everything in the cell. Which one takes, is ultimately a matter of taste. But we need a function, with which one can select quickly and reliably the whole table, which is prticularly difficult if it extends over many pages. Selecting its content from the beginning to the end is sometimes terribly time-consuming. So far I know only one way via the navigator: Select the table under "Tables", then context menu>Select. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 148866] New: Strange things happen if chained text meets tables in LO Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148866 Bug ID: 148866 Summary: Strange things happen if chained text meets tables in LO Writer Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.0.0 alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: adalbert.hans...@gmx.de Created attachment 179861 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179861&action=edit Playground with screenshots to reproduce the bug I observed this bug in Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f775b625b497b4fa6731bddd433916dde52fbb2e CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded but it is also present in earlier versions. I expect that the binding of Format>Paragraph>Indents and Spacings also concatenates with a subsequent table. Otherwise one would risk a widowed table remaining separated from its headline. If a table is below a headline and if it does not fit to the same page together with it (respecting the table breaking properties of the table: possibly the first part of the table including its own table headline not fitting on the same page), then I expect the headline to move to the next page together with the table. Sometimes undoing a one keystroke operation does not undo it, you may have to undo one more step and redo it later, in order to return to the old state. I guess there is some <= rather than < (or >= than >) bug in the responsible computations of necessary space. See attached example. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146928] Open the corresponding text font tab for Asian/CTL fonts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146928 --- Comment #17 from JO3EMC --- I don't know what "the integrated icon-only buttons" means ...but, the current implementation seems to have a completely different design layout when CJK / CTL is disabled. The arrangement and parts are completely different. Therefore, it seems nonsense to take that into consideration when considering the layout here. Isn't it better to design independently? I also dreamed of the three-row arrangement. However, given the frame splits that "Western" users seem to want and the long messages like "The same font will be used on both your printer and your screen.", that idea seemed difficult and I stopped considering it. I think it seems quite difficult to fit in the 800px width dialog that HIG requires. I can't imagine a concrete layout image, including the requirements required in the horizontal direction. The traditional layout seemed better. In any case, it seems that such a study will take a considerable amount of time to discuss, I think. I don't think it will be in time for 7.4 at all. It was said that reverting would be difficult without the requests of many users, so I understand that we cannot secure time for that consideration. Around me, there are opinions that it is better to actually release the current implementation of tab notebook and leave it to the market evaluation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

One I treat as my production Laptop which has LibreOffice Version 7.2.5.2 installed so that it cannot be replaced by the latest Version 7.3.3. Both Laptops have the same multimedia packages installed. The system with LO 7.2.5.2 plays Impress files with embeded videos perfectly. The system with LO 7.3.3 Impress fails to play embeded Videos. The first video is played perfectly, however when I advance to the next embeded video there is no image, ie a blank screen, but the sound associated with the video plays. Even if I step back to the video that previously worked it fails in the same way. I hope I can add images to illustrate this. The first is the Video being played and the second is the video not being played when I step back to it. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start LO Impress 6.3.3 and select a black background for all slides and add say 4 slides with no text boxes. 2.On slide 2 select a mp4 video to insert. Set its page size and position so that it fits within the slide window. 3.Use F5 to start the presentation. Advance so that the video is played on the presentation screen and then advance to the third slide. 4.Now step back to the 3rd slide and you will find that no video is shown but the audio associated with the video is played. Actual Results: No video is played after first successfully playing the first video. All subsequent videos or the first video will not play. Only the sound of the video is played. Expected Results: I expected to see the video played again with the image and sound. This is done correctly on LO Version 7.2.5.2. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: I reported this problem recently and it was associated with LO Impress 4.0.2.1 which showed a white flash before the start of a video. This is NOT the case in this fault report, nor is it related to Windows 10 LO system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142585] Flashing toolbar for Navigator and Styles (when at least one of them is docked)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142585 --- Comment #8 from Adalbert Hanßen --- Created attachment 179857 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=179857&action=edit An example which shows the bug (the text in it describes another bug) For sometime now I've noticed that large parts of my LibreOffice Writer window occasionally flicker. I first noticed this with very large files. However, I had also an example of a one page document (but then the flickering frequency seems to be less than with large files). The flickering occurs when there is at least the Navigator or Style window open next to the actual text box. When flickering happens, it happens more often that keystrokes arrive out of sequence in the editor window. To avoid this, I have to type very slowly. I have indicators on the taskbar that constantly show me the CPU and memory usage. They show me that both are not the cause of the problem. When composing an example for #148755 the flickering became extremely bad when I wrote the last example in it. After I inserted the last image into the table, it became catastrophic. I could hardly continue writing. Then after patiently adding more and more text, it got much better. But the flickering is still there. The concurrency of the processes in LibreOffice might be insufficiently organized. Can this problem be improved by waiting to update the screen items for Styles, Navigator and the items in the Toolbox that control paragraph format, font size, and other formatting properties and the search box at the bottom until a writing pause of more than 1/10 of a second has passed? Could the contents of these screen areas just be calculated for now and not rolled out continuously? Another possibility would be to provide an order for updating the concurrent screen pieces: Always those of the categories first, then lower its priority behind that of the other pieces until those are finished. Of course, the text edit window should always be served immediately. I would even consider it acceptable if the areas other than the actual text edit window would update only during writing pauses, e.g. one or even two seconds after the last keystroke! The actual background work - e.g. searching, which position in the heading hierarchy is currently affected etc., can be done continuously in the background and discarded if necessary, if "dramatic changes" have happened in the editor window, like insert, PageUp, PageDown change of style sheet or at all more than a certain number of keystrokes since the last update of the concurrent screen areas. (For GUI programmers my explanations may sound a bit amateurish: In the second half of the 1980s I solved a similar problem in an 8086 controlled device this way – that one ran completely without operating system - ). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
