LibreOffice Writer document to show the issue.

This is still an issue in LibreOffice Writer 4.3.3.2, nothing has changed.

To enhance the bug description above:
You need to have enough foot/end notes so that the Cross Reference/Selection
list is scrollable. This issue becomes only visible on operating systems that
do scrolling on the UI element under the cursor position (and not on UI element
that has keyboard focus as in Windows).
When focusing an unfocused Cross References window, the scroll position jumps
back to the top, which results in that the wrong list element gets the mouse
click event, and the wrong cross reference is inserted. Messing around with
scroll position is not a good usability pattern.

Attached is an example document with clear instructions to show the issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89967] Missing character in Dingbats font

2015-03-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89967

--- Comment #6 from rebelxt rebelxtu...@hotmail.com ---
I accept that my missing character is not a LO problem. However, on my system,
which is Linux Mint 17.1, when I start LO calc, click on the Insert menu,
select Special Character, then the font Linux Mint has named Dingbats, the
circle 2 character is missing. The Insert Special Character dialog says this
character is U+173. Obviously this is not the actual Unicode designation, but
that's what it says.

I have no idea where a little nit like this could be picked, and was kind of
hoping somebody could pass it upstream to whoever.

Thanks for reading my rant.

After upgrading to 4.3, I installed fax4CUPS 1.29 as recommended. However, if I
print to one of these fax devices (e.g. efax), LibreOffice spools a print job

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88230] cleanup solar mutex yielding ...

However, I noticed that there are situations where we might need to call the
  destructor of SolarMutexReleaser explicitly.

 For that you should use:

 class VCL_DLLPUBLIC SolarMutexClearableGuard

where you can explicitly release it earlier if necessary by calling clear().

 Thanks !

The problem with using SolarMutexClearableGuard is that as soon as I create an
object of it, it will acquire the Mutex, whereas what we need is to release it
momentarily and then acquire it.

2015-03-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 89995
Summary: FORMATTING: Paragraph Indents and Spacing keeps
values after they have been changed back to zero
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.1.2 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gordon1dr...@yahoo.com

1. New Text Document.
2. Format - Paragraph - Indents Spacing tab.
3. Set First line to 0.50cm (or any value not 0).
4. Switch to any other tab in the dialog.
5. Switch back to Indents Spacing tab.
6. Manually change value in First line back to 0.00cm.
7. OK.
Expected Result:
First line indent stays at 0.00cm.
Result:
Paragraph is first line indented by value originally set in step 3.
Go back into the paragraph dialog and the value is back to what it was in step
3.

This happens with any of the number boxes on that tab and also line spacing.

If you set the value to between 0.00cm and the original value, then it will
stay on the final value i.e. set to 0.50cm, change tab, set to 0.20cm.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89981] SLIDESHOW: Text is invisible in a slide with a full-size animated image

2015-03-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89981

--- Comment #2 from David F Smith davidjudysm...@gmail.com ---
Here's another variant, with some similarities.

This sequence fails reliably for me in LO 4.4.1.2 under Windows 7 Pro SP1.

1. Create a new presentation. Put a shape or something in the first blank
slide, as a visible placeholder.
2. Draw a callout in the second blank slide. Move the callout to the edge of
the slide frame, so that the outer handles are at or just above the top, or
just left of the left side.
3. Double-click in the callout and add some text.
4. Select the callout and make a custom animation (for example, Expand With
Previous). Start the slideshow from the beginning. At slide 2, the callout
appears but contains no text.
5. Move the callout so that it is completely within the frame. Start the
slideshow. Everything is fine.

The text disappears from a callout if and only if it extends to or beyond the
top or left side of the slide frame and it appears in an animation. (Why not
the bottom or right side? I have no idea, but that seems to be the case.)

I've attached an example presentation that illustrates the situations. For me,
when I start the slideshow from the beginning, slide 2 shows an expanding
thought balloon, but the text in the balloon disappears when the expansion is
done. Slide 3 also shows no text in the balloon (with Effect Appear), while
slide 4 looks fine (balloon is moved down to within the slide frame). (My
example slides include images, but that's not required to show the bug.)

On a suggestion from a commenter in bug 89780, I installed 4.4.2.1rc, and sure
enough, this problem appears to be fixed. Both of my test presentations now
work perfectly.

I don't see a WORKSFORME status that I can apply, so I'll just leave it as it
is, but I think this is probably fixed.

Thanks to the development team for the quick work.

Was the file on local hard disk or on a share network?

Hope you had made some backup before this.

screenshot of calc, everything cool

When I delete a subset of cells, named ranges in different row/col shift.
Between the attached screenshots, I delete cells C18:C40 and choose 'shift
left'. Observe how named cell E3 now references D3 - that shift occurred for
the whole D3:E6 range.

I don't quite understand bug 87153 but suspect it may be related/dup.

I like that idea of making the label scrollable to avoid widening the dialog. I

I’ve submitted https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/14862/ to the libreoffice-4-4
branch in order to remove an ugly, superflous separator widget in the bottom of
the dropdown, which was presumably added to lessen the bug before it was fixed
properly by Caolán (the widget wasn’t visible before his fix).

I’ll add an icon to this button, but it won’t reflect the “Automatic” color, as
1) icons are static and 2) it needs to fit with the other function of the
button (“No Fill”). So it’ll be an empty square for now.

trying to communicate. Remember that not all bugs are that evident, especially
when our computing environments differ so much ;-)

So as a rule of thumb, whenever you describe a graphical issue, please attach a

ficheros, puedes exportarlos a DOCX u otro formato.

Forgot to say that each comparison is like this:
for(;aIter != aPair.second;++aIter)
aPair.second is not considered as the match since each time we've got this kind
of code:
if (aIter == aPair.second)
{
for(aIter = aPair.first; aIter != aPair.second; ++aIter)

IMHO, there's really something wrong in this method.

I've succeeded to retrieve Boolean but I don't know if that's the good way.
I noticed that:
1) OCopyTableWizard::convertType didn't manage DataType::BOOLEAN case.
See
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/dbaccess/source/ui/misc/WCopyTable.cxx#1445

2) Just searching in the whole _rTypeInfo seems to work better than just the
range.

Hello,

i'm using debian wheezy 7.8.

I can't anymore open the form Καταχώρηση εγκύκλιος ΔΛΤ. The error message is
SfxBaseModel::loadFromStorage:0xf26.

I will create a new form to continue my work, but i'm uploading the base file
in case that it is helpfull to understand why this is happening.

I had the same problem in the same or different odb files in the past.

Thanks

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62957] FILESAVE: Save Last Slide Position in Impress

2015-03-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62957

--- Comment #29 from Kumāra kumara.bhik...@gmail.com ---
(In reply to Jean-Baptiste Faure from comment #28)
From my point of view of Writer, Calc and Impress user, the main difference
between Impress and other modules is that it has the slide sorter which give
you a global view on the document and makes very easy to find the slide you
want work on. That makes indifferent for me that Impress opens the file at
 the last modified slide.

Thanks for joining, Jean.

What you say makes perfect sense (and I've resorted to the sorter too), until
perhaps your slides number 140, like mine.

The question is this: Which is more sensible? Having an ODP opened at the first
slide or where the user last saved it?

FYI, I also have a long well-structured ODT (98 pages), which I can find where
I left off with the Navigator too. But I'm *very* grateful that Writer opens it
where I left off instead. I'll be very grateful too if Impress does the same.

Is there any good reason to retain its current status of always opening at the
first slide?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89983] Possibility to delete author from notes

I'm using Writer for peer reviewing of scientific articles and it might be
very feasible to add possibility to delete author information from notes
making them anonymous. Currently I have to extract all information from
notes, delete author information and send manuscript and notes separately,
which is inconvenient for both - reviewer and author.

Interesting suggestion. Sounds similar to Bug 80238 - Enhancement: export PDF
without metadata

Giving users better tools and better control over the metadata in files is
definitely a worthy goal for us.

Status - NEW

enhancement proposal

checking new LibreOffice version and installed Extensions seem to be coupled

Dealing with libreoffice update, these 2 actions should be separated and an
other enhancement would be specifying the checking/update policy per extension

but as first step let only separate libreoffice update notification and
Extensions as a whole

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89986] New: PaintHelper performance rendering Calc sheet containing embedded graphic objects, e.g. macro button

2015-03-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89986

Bug ID: 89986
Summary: PaintHelper performance rendering Calc sheet
containing embedded graphic objects, e.g. macro button
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium

  Reporter: ipla...@yahoo.co.uk

Created attachment 114072
  -- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=114072action=edit
profiling screenshot

Wile testing an alleged context switching bug using keyboard shortcuts, I
noticed that LO was particularly slow at redrawing a Calc sheet that contained
a macro button, so I did some profiling, see attached screenshot.

There seems to be a significant performance hit in the PaintHelper module of on
average about 100ms on my system :

Nom du modèle :Mac mini
  Identifiant du modèle :Macmini4,1
Nom du processeur :Intel Core 2 Duo
  Vitesse du processeur :2,66 GHz
  Nombre de processeurs :1
  Nombre total de cœurs :2
Cache de niveau 2 :3 Mo
  Mémoire :4 Go
  Vitesse du bus :1,07 GHz

This manifests itself in that when say three different documents are open
simultaneously (Writer, Calc, Database main window), context switching with the
Mac keyboard shortcut Cmd+`causes noticeable delay in redrawing of the Calc
sheet, and it appears to be systematically linked to calls to the PaintHelper
module.

quick patch

I believe that the attached patch, or a similar one, should solve that bug. But
it's not tested at all, and unfortunately I'm unable to do any further
investigation on this, or any other LO related stuff these days, due to
personal reasons. So someone else would need to take care of
testing/fixing/pushing that patch. Sorry.

Some explanation:
The nbdtmg.cxx part is the most important here, that's where the 8 items limit
was set (DEFAULT_NUM_VALUSET_COUNT define is 8).
Other parts are trying to deal with the behavior of the 10th item (as mentioned
in comment 7). The old Sidebar popup had a None item which id was set to 10,
that's where it came from.
