Subject: Upgrades for CT110?

I still have my Libretto 110 that's been sitting dormant for a year and want
to upgrade it to use it in school. I want to upgrade it to windows 2000.
What do I need to do? I have to windows 98, the standard 4gb hd and 32mg.
I know you gurus out there can give me the insight :)

Okay... this post of yours answered all but my question about whether you
have a floppy drive. Seems like you're got people's attention!

Since I have been bombarded by people wanting to know more information on
my
Libretto that I am sell I thought I send the Q/A over to the group. I'd
like to make this sale as easy as possible! :)

I am interested in your LIb 110. I am sorry but I have to give you the
usual drill...:-)

1. Are there any cracks, deeps scratch or stain on the case or screen?

No deep scratches on the case just normal wear, and screen is completely
intact.

2. Any dead pixels?

I haven't turned it on in over a month, so I can get back to you tomorrow
on
this, but as far as I'm are of, there are none.

3. Are the hinges tight?

Nice and tight. I bought it in 1999, and I rarely used it. The last year
or so, I think I opened it up maybe once a month or so.

4. Any broken latch?

No

5. Any missing keys?

No

6. Any bad sectors?

I have not done a scan disk in a while, but I can check, and send a you a
snap shot pic of it tomorrow if you'd like.

7. Any defects you may want to tell me that I forgot to ask?

The only thing - and I stated it earlier, is that the battery is dead. It
definitely doesn't hold a charge.

9. Do you have the AC adapter?

I have two. One came with the original shipment, and the other came with
my
extended replicator.

8. And lastly of course, how much are you planning to sell everything.
Sorry
for the 'usual' so many questions!!

I'd like to sell it as a whole bundle. I really don't need any of other
peripherals once it's sold. I believe it still have the replacement tabs
for
the mouse pointer, as well as the sound card jack.

10. How much memory is installed?

I only have the standard 32meg. When I used it on a day to day basis, I
never ran into any problems with memory issues, so I never upgraded. I see
it on Ebay for $40.

11. Drive size?

Standard 4 gig. I have it partitioned 2 gig and 2 gig.

**12. 233mhz or overclocked?

Standard 233mhz

**13. Do you have the manuals, orginal disks?

I believe I have most of them, but will have to do an inventory on it to
see
if anything is missing.

**14. Is the OfficePro a licensed copy, or just installed on the drive?

No, it's just an installed copy

Subject: 110CT For Sale

Hello everyone,

I have a Libretto 110CT for sale. It's still runs like a champ, but does
have a dead battery. Here are the other goodies I have with it:

Win98/Office2000pro
Both Port Repiclators (Standard and Expanded)
56k Modem
10mps NIC
Noteworthy 'Leather' Case
3Com Laptop Backpack

Anyway, if anyone is interested, just reply back to me. I was about to sell
it off of EBay, but thought I'd offer it to the group first.

Sorry for not adding where I live,,, I live in Arizona (USA), and I figure
I just want to sell everything in one bundle. My new laptop (big heavy pig
that it is) has all the components integrated, so I don't need any of it. I
was looking at what they were selling for on EBay and figure that 300 plus
shipping is pretty reasonable?

I have occasionally thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a backup
for my 100CT just in case, so I could be tempted.

Any idea what sort of price you would be looking for? Also, where are you
located?

I don't really need the Replicators (I have both already, assuming 100CT and
110CT are interchangeable), and I have a PCMCIA LAN/Modem, though I guess if
I lost my 100CT that could mean losing the cards as well...

Anyway, if noone jumps in with a generous offer, keep me in mind.

Regards,
DigbyT

Now if remember right, don't most Airlines prohibit the use of any
electrical items during the flight now? Or is just during takeoff and
landing? I would have thought that Airline equipment would be running at
different frequencies anyway, which would me the low level frequencies
emitted from common household appliances (yes, a libretto should be common
:) ) wouldn't effect it. Ahh where's Bill Nuy the Science Guy when you need
him?

Who do you look like, Saddam? ;-)

The last 20 or so flights between San Fran, Columbus,
Indiana, Boston, Newark and Paris, the worst was a
glance inside my bag. Have gone through with laptop,
PDA, phone, MP3 player and haven't had to turn any on.

Chris

Expect to make everything work. Screens change on
 pager, cell phone and Lib.
This to prove they are functional and not dummies
 with contraband inside.
