Re: [LUG] setting up SQUID AND SQUID GUARD
Squid and SquidGuard should install as modules for pfSense easily through the GUI, and the various settings should be well documented within the modules and also on the Internet generally. For example: https://turbofuture.com/internet/URL-Filtering-How-To-Configure-SquidGuard-in-pfSense -- Cell/WhatsApp/Signal: +256790884905 <0790%20884905> On 4 Jul 2017 15:00, "Yakub Bairewo"wrote: > Dear Luggers, > > I have a pfsense gateway which acts as well as my DNS , dhcp server.I > tried to setup the squid and squid guard and followed the online > content to filter what to access on the LAN but could still be > accessed internally. > > Any advise and how to do it better will be very grateful from members. > > Thank you, > Regards > Yakub Bairewo. > ___ > The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug > > Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: > LUG@linux.or.ug > Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/lug@linux.or.ug/ > Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug > To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug > > The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: > http://www.infocom.co.ug/ > > The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including > attachments if any). Re: [LUG] UIXP
Hi all, Sorry. I was off-grid/upcountry since Sunday. Diarmuid (copied) assisted with this outage and can also be contacted for support when I am MIA. We initially experienced a problem with our transit link which seemed to originate upstream. This naturally took our website, DNS, and other public facing services down (we are not multihomed bit will be soon) though peering was unaffected. Then, a few days later, we experienced a network layer issue that disrupted peering. We think we have now cleared the issue, but can't properly confirm the cause yet. Our hunch is now that both issues originate from a new peer connection which we have disconnected until we can get a quarantine VLAN up to take a closer look. [LUG] setting up SQUID AND SQUID GUARD
Dear Luggers, I have a pfsense gateway which acts as well as my DNS , dhcp server.I tried to setup the squid and squid guard and followed the online content to filter what to access on the LAN but could still be accessed internally. Any advise and how to do it better will be very grateful from members.
