Welcome Tim!

I recommend using mcomm on an android device such as the android tv boxes I
sell pre-configured with all the cables needed. Also there is mcomm for
windows, laddiealpha for dos/linux/mac and others..if you need something
portable a cell phone with android will work as well with an OTG cable and
the same cable setups for the rs232 and null modem.

bucket = 24k
flash image = 32k

you can't put 32k in 24k so it will truncate at 24k.. or saving flash
images from that machine will only save 24k of data. because that's all
there is

easy fix: I sell 8k ram at arcadeshopper.com

I have not looked at the M200 schematic but I’m assuming it uses the
Hitachi type LCD drivers like the M100/102 does. I seem to recall these
take a command word, like to set the ‘cursor’/write position and then the
data to write. Since half of the screen is working properly the data lines
are getting there OK as are any shared chip select and R/W signals. Any
chip select from the main board that is unique to each driver would be
suspect as well as any traces/logic on the LCD board to the affected areas.

I’m not sure that helps, it will be a case of tracking down signals I’m
afraid.

Yes well make an offer worked out this time. And I didn't pay 125 for
either of them. An offer is better than "you can fix it" to these sellers
as if they could fix it they would have already. They are pricing these way
too high for not working and no box etc.. letting them know what they are
really worth will help other sellers see reality. Then there's always the
hold outs there's a recycle place in town trying to get 175 for a broken
386.. sigh

I can print some and put them in my store at arcadeshopper.com

as for the corrosion use vinegar to neutralize the acid and a strong brush
like a toothbrush to clean off the stuck on bits..

Yep me too, but I did set up a firewall on the BBS that blocks the 'bad

Re: [M100] List of capacitors

2018-04-23 Thread Gregory McGill
woops wrong group he posted in my other group:

A while back we did a server upgrade, and the new FTP server tool we use
requires a non-encrypted FTP (no SSL or TLS) connection with the user name
'anonymous' and no password (not even your email). That is the only way
anonymous FTP works any more. If you use a browser and go to
ftp://ftp.whtech.com, you can use 'anonymous' as the user, with no password
as well.

Alternatively we set up an http/https connection too...
http://ftp.whtech.com and https://ftp.whtech.com . Both of which mirror the
FTP just like you were connecting via FTP.

The new FTP server was in response to the constant barrages of bots trying
to break into the server via insecure known FTP exploits. Not that they
could have done any damage since everything from the public site is
read-only, it was quite annoying. Sometimes we'd see 20-30,000 failed
logins a day with all sorts of dictionary attacks. Now, if any IP fails
logging in 5 times it's banned.

Hope this helps for everyone!!
