Okay, but, how do you know what's unecessary garbage and what's not if it doesn't plainly say so: and thus, how do you know what it's safe to get rid of and what you should keep? Re: Install9ng Win7 in Bootcamp
Hi, I just went :www.applevis.com and opened the guides link and then tapped on the Mac OS link. I right flicked until I heard How to configure Windows in bootcamp without sight. Like I said in a previous post, the screens may not be in the same order as stated in this article. My question to you as I started to read it again, is: Are you using an ofbicial copy of Windows 7? Please forgive me, as this was one of the first items discussed in the article and I'm not suggesting anything by this question. There's something that Apple doesn't like. Although I did call Apple accessibility when attempting this project, they would go as far as troubleshooting the Apple side. Have you tried downloading the ISO version of Windows 7 from Microsoft? I have take a look in my download folder on the Mac to see if I still have it. If I do, I can send it to you off list. Let me know and I'll post either way if I still have the download file. In this tedious task, I also used KNFB Reader from my phone to read the screen, and the app BeMyEyes” to access sighted assistance. The last resort I used was FaceTime with an sighted AT support friend. When you get to the screen where you need to select the bootcamp drive (usually in the 4th position or arrow down 3 times), you will need to reformat the disk. The “Next” button is all the way in the bottom right hand corner (if memor y serves), which was not accessible with the command ALT-N. This is where I needed the FaceTime sighted assistance in using the trackpad and detailed directions on when the mouse cursor was exactly on the button to perform a left click. I performed the left click from the trackpad. Once you get through this tedious and frustrating task, you still need to install the bootcamp drivers from your USB thumb drive. I hope this helps in getting your Windows 7 OS installed into bootcamp. Best, Eileen On Aug 19, 2015, at 8:56 AM, E.T. ancient.ali...@icloud.com wrote:

When the reader makes a mistake, I have to stop recording, then rewind a little bit, start playback so the reader can chime in at the right moment, and then I need to resume recording, right from playback. Can Amadeus pro do just that? In other words: when I am playing back audio, is there a keystroke one can hit so that recording begins at that very moment, thereby overwriting the tail of the file where the mistake was made? Hoping to hear back from you. Since I’m on the mac, I have not found the solution to this issue yet. IPhone or IPad as a trackpad?
folks, this may seem like an incredibly stupid question, but I can't resist asking. is there a way, without jailbreaking, and again I say… With, out, jail, breaking… That I can use my iPhone, or iPad when plugged into my Mac computer via USB as a trackpad? I do not have much room on my desk, and the one iPhone is about the size of a mouse, I think it would be much easier if I could simply use my iPhone, and just plug it in whenever it is needed. again, I totally get that this is probably a very stupid question, but again, I can't resist asking. Re: Problem with dropbox please help
The only issue with this is, the last I remember, this method wasn't accessible. I recall you having to go to the Dropbox.app file, vo+shift+M on it, go to view content, then inside there, I don't recall exactly where, but there was a shell script you ran, which would open Terminal in the background, run a few commands, then the installer window would pop up, and the rest at that point would be totally 100% accessible. If you didn't use this method though, it wouldn't work with Voiceover. If things have changed, please let me know. Now, when I have to install Dropbox, I actually just do it from http://www.installmacapps.com So, when I run the Terminal script from there, it just automatically does it and sets it up, leaving me not having to fool with anything. How did you go about installing Dropbox. There's actually a little trick to installing it to get it accessible. You can't just copy the .app file over from the dmg and run it. Hi, Since you will be on the Windows side, I would pull up the run dialog box with the Windows and R. I'm just guessing that the thumb drive will be in disk E. So, type E:\ and press B for bootcamp and press enter. Press S for setup. This should work if you opened the right drive that the thumb drive is on. iTunes problem--playing albums
I believe I'm now using iTunes 12.2, under OS10.10.5, but I couldn't verify this because the About iTunes item isn't reading anything with VoiceOver! Anyway, before this update, I would interact with my album grid, and VO-space on an album title I wanted to play, then interact with the album details and move to the track list. Pressing VO-Space on the title does nothing now--no details appear, and I can't figure out what I'm doing differently. Any help would be appreciated! Even though the order of the screens were not in the same order explained in that article, it gave me the necessary keystrokes to assist in the installation process of Windows. Best, Eileen On Aug 19, 2015, at 8:56 AM, E.T. ancient.ali...@icloud.com wrote: Update. Had to reset PRAM. Re: amadeus pro recording and punch-in?
I don't believe there is a punch record facility and Amadeus Pro. The best method I have found to handle such errors is in the editing process. When I make such a mistake is that, instead of stopping and rewinding the file, I simply leave a short space and then resume from where the mistake was. I then go back and cut out the error. It's really quite simple to do. If you're not familiar with editing and Amadeus Pro, you really should get Jonathan motions audio tutorial on Amadeus. It really helped me understand how to use this program. Hi, It's accessibility is actually quite good. • cmd-n to create the new event. • Enter the info like Meeting with Bb at 5 pm tomorrow then press return. Calendar will figure out what you mean and place the event in the proper date and time within your calendar and bring focus into the Info window for that event. If you don't wish to change anything, just press cmd-w to close the event and all is entered. If you need to modify any details of the event, either use tab or use VO navigation to make your modifications. The only tricky part that I've found is if you wish to make changes to the date and time data. VO-space on area then use arrow keys to manipulate. What's up with calendar?
Hi all, I'm trying to add some events to my calendar. I usually do this from my phone, so haven't tried it on the Mac for a while. How does one do this? When I press CMD-N, the only option I seem to get is to add a quick event, which I don't want. Nothing seems to get me out of that dialog box. any help is appreciated. Re: iTunes problem--playing albums
I have found that for me after interacting with the album grid, navigating using the arrow keys opens the albums which you can then tab across as usual. It’s new, but me thinks not improved. Pressing VO-Space on the title does nothing now--no details appear, and I can't figure out what I'm doing differently. Any help would be appreciated! Re: What's up with calendar?
Hi tim and all, It's like many things Apple, once you've figured it out, it's quite easy. But figuring it out was not very intuitive. Based on the VO feedback I was getting, it sounded like it was going to add the event for tomorrow, which I did not want, so I avoided pressing Enter. Re: Problem with dropbox please help
In the Finder (on your Desktop), you will find a drive named Dropbox Installer. When you double-click it, it will launch the installer, and you can click the only icon in that window to Install Dropbox. It should take less than a minute. When it is done, go back to the Finder and right-click on the Dropbox Installer. Select Eject 'Dropbox Installer' from the contextual menu (or select the Dropbox Installer icon and select Eject 'Dropbox Installer' from the File menu in the Finder. Re: Installing Win7 in Bootcamp
What Mac did you say you had again? Not all Macs—especially recent ones—run Win7. And of those that do, not all support USB boot, or correctly boot in UEFI mode. Might just be worthwhile connecting an external DVD burner and burning the ISO to it, then copying the drivers separately to USB. Now boot from the DVD. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group.
