Hi,

Yes, it is an app from the App Store. It is an awesome app for learning about
all the sessions and such at WWDC. I've used it to look at accessibility
sessions and such at WWDC so that I can encourage certain developers to be more
diligent at making sure that their apps are more accessible. It has archived
footage of all WWDC sessions and the keynotes and such too.

Hope it's available in the NZ store.

Did you bother to get a full report on what the Disk Utility is seeing as

I'd say if anything it is your mac os partition on the so called 500GB drive

Hi folks.

So I've got windows on my mini.

When I look at the disc manager on the windows side, I get the following.

(Disk 0 partition 1); Simple; Basic; Healthy (EFI System Partition); 300 MB;
300 MB; 100 % (Disk 0 partition 2); Simple; Basic; Healthy (Primary Partition);
40.98 GB; 40.98 GB; 100 % BOOTCAMP (C:); Simple; Basic; NTFS; Healthy (Boot,
Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition); 424.65 GB; 390.54 GB; 92 %

Now, I'm wondering what that 40 gigs is for?

On the mac side, looking at it with disc utilities, I see the bootcamp disc is
454 gigs.

I could delete the 40 gigs, but the disc manager in windows says It could be
for  another OS,.

Dear List,
Yesterday my Mac updated, Now I can’t load windows.
I used my phone to try to read the screen. It wasn’t too good, but It said
automatic repair could not repair disk errors.
I don’t know what to do other than delete boot camp and start all over.
I have a windows 7 PE disk with NVDA, But I can’t get it to boot.
After hearing the mac chime, I hold the C key, but it loads the Mac OS instead
of the CD.

So Here is my question, What version of Windows can I install on a late 2015
iMac?
I can’t remember what I used when I installed it the first time.
Thanks in advance.

iCloud accounts for personal and business

2019-06-04 Thread Simon Fogarty
Hi Listers,

A few days back someone was asking about sepparating their personal contacts
and business contacts in iCloud,

Just listening now to the wwdc keynote from yesterday and they are putting this
feature in to IOS 13 which ok wont help you now but will be
Available later in the year.

The ability to have a personal icloud account and a business icloud account on
the same device.

You could do some reading about it on the apple website.

RE: Disregard Fwd: Anyone else having trouble streaming the WWDC?

2019-06-04 Thread Simon Fogarty
Hi Petrus and others,

Yeah from what I’m hearing and reading,

The itunes store app on your phone and ipad will let you still perchase media
and then through finder you will be able to upload that media on to your iphone
or ipad,
More like what your windows machine will let you do with an android device
where you will I assume see the folder structure.

The music app is where I believe you will download your music / audio books on
your mac OS computers.

couldn’t find where to change it. I did go in the mail Preferences and found

2019-06-04 Thread Petrus Tuerlings
Hi all,
I was just wondering how I can change the way my emails are listed on my Mac?
At the moment I have the newest email at the top of the list and the older
emails at the bottom. I was thinking I’d try it the other way round but
couldn’t find where to change it. I did go in the mail Preferences and found
the view menu, and there was a check box that said something like show old
messages at the top tick box and it was not ticked. I am using modern view on
the native mail app on the Mac.

Re: iPadOS

2019-06-04 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries

So CUPS would need to be an internal part of the OS?

I don't recall what brand embosser it was but I heard or read
comments that the onboard translation was not up to par.

Guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Hi,

It will not require a third party app. It can all be done from within the
Finder of your Mac. Apple would not do that to you, well, not yet anyway :).

Re: Disregard Fwd: Anyone else having trouble streaming the WWDC?

2019-06-04 Thread Petrus Tuerlings
Hi Tim,
Yes, I found it and installed it, I’lll look at it later when I’ve got more
time. Well, I do have plenty of time, I’m just choosing to do other things with
it at the moment.
I want to finish ripping all of my music CDs before all of the iTunes changes.
Although I’m guessing there will still be a way of doing that on the Mac, that
will probably involve a 3rd party App. And I know I don’t need to panic as we
are still a few months away from that.

Re: Disregard Fwd: Anyone else having trouble streaming the WWDC?

2019-06-04 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries

Adding accessibility to Voice over on a site, can i?

2019-06-04 Thread Ramy Moustafa
Hi all:
I’m using a platform called chatfuel on my Facebook business page to
communicate to my customers adn send them prodcast messages.
but after my IT team design the platform that will send hosts the messenger
bot, i discovered that the site is not accessible at all.
THe only way is to search for a new platform and move all our work there which
will cost more money.
My question is, is there an option on Voice over on mac that enable me to
convert something Voice over sees as text to button? for sited users this is a
clickable button, but for Voiceover this is just text, just small buttons and
the site may be usable,
Need your suggestions before going to change this.
Thanks

Now, I'm wondering what that 40 gigs is for?

On the mac side, looking at it with disc utilities, I see the bootcamp

I could delete the 40 gigs, but the disc manager in windows says It
could be for  another OS,.

Installing boot camp?

2019-06-04 Thread 'Robert Cole' via MacVisionaries
Dear List,
Yesterday my Mac updated, Now I can’t load windows.

Rob

Re: Any Greek speakers on this list?

2019-06-04 Thread 'Andrew Lamanche' via MacVisionaries
So Jelal, if you choose Greek as default language for your system, can you
still read English text correctly? It’s so annoying because if I don’t have to
choose Spanish for instance as default system language if I want to read
Spanish text. The language changes automatically; It doesn’t work for Greek
though, and I’ve been pleading with Apple to sort it for a few years now, since
High Sierra when it got broken.

 Hello everyone,
 My question is simple:
How to stop voice over from reading comments and annotations on pages?

I’ve tried checking all the options related to hiding comments under the
view menu, but nothing seems to work. I use low verbosity level as the
default verbosity for voice over, and I’ve already looked for something in
voice over utilities that can be related to comments or annotations but I
 haven’t found anything.

Does someone know how to do this?

Re: new mac books

2019-06-04 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
It should be configurable as i don’t like it.
THere’s a small sound when you turn your mac on without the bootchime.
Its just a half of a second but you really have to have silence around you to
hear that.
At least that’s what i hear from my mac when i turn it on with no chime.
But i have the Macbook air 11 inch early 2015.
I decided to turn the chime off with onyx.
I actually don’t like the sound at all.
But they could have put another sound there for those who wanted it or as i
mentioned earlier it should be possible to turn that back on again.

 Hi Listers,

It's looking like I'm going to have to replace my mid 2013 11" MacBookAir,

Currently the closest replacement would be the still currently available
2017 version of the mac book air,
Apart from only being able to have 16GB ram in them it's an ok machine if
 spec'ed out completely,

However what I'm really wondering is if it's really possible for apple to
put the older non butterfly keyboard in to something in the mac book pro
 range?

I've been using a mac book pro 2018 for almost a year and I still can't
get use to the keys on the keyboard.
 Preferring my 11" MBA keyboard.
Does anyone know if there is such a customize option for the mac book line?
