Hi! It should be configurable as i don’t like it. THere’s a small sound when you turn your mac on without the bootchime. Its just a half of a second but you really have to have silence around you to hear that. At least that’s what i hear from my mac when i turn it on with no chime. But i have the Macbook air 11 inch early 2015. I decided to turn the chime off with onyx. I actually don’t like the sound at all. But they could have put another sound there for those who wanted it or as i mentioned earlier it should be possible to turn that back on again. /A
