Forwarding from VI Phone list as there were recent questions. I would expect

there is a command that you need to voice, it can probably be done with
automator's do AppleScript command.

Also, keyboard maestro might be useful to simplify keystrokes.
In both cases, you would need to do a AppleScript that is essentially:
tell application "VoiceOver"
tell commander to perform command "Some VoiceOver command"
end tell
Where you could replace some command with "Application Chooser" for example.

Greetings,

Harry Bell has created a tutorial to help those wishing to use the Voice
Control feature of Apple devices with VoiceOver.
He gave me permission to put it on my web site.
You will find it in two formats. Microsoft Word and as its own html page.
It is in the first section of my web site under iOS and keyboard commands.
Maybe I will add another section, but it works there for now.
Link is in my signature.

an absolutely silly, but for me important mac question?

2022-06-11 Thread Karen Lewellen
In my own defense because accessing broadcast content tends to be
important work wise, when living in my own home, I have cable.

At the moment though I am in a shared situation.
However, I need to access something, being broadcast via the web, at
ctv.ca tomorrow night.

so...and here comes said silly question.
Is it simply a matter of firing up mystic the macbook pro, choosing a
browser, likely safari, but I will get Firefox if a wiser choice,
going to ctv.ca, and accessing the stream at showtime?

Thanks,
Kare

Hi,

Not really. Deleting it, or waiting to see if the app has an update that fixes
the problem is your best choices. I’ve seen this happen where you need to
delete, then re-install an app as it was somehow corrupted during the update
process.

Re: Accessing notifications

2022-06-11 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Press VO-n to bring focus to the notifications, down arrow once then press
return. This will bring focus to the specific notification that was being
announced. Now, you can press VO-cmd-space to be able to choose from the
actions. You should have things like “close”, “Press”, “Accept” or “Decline”,
or “Show”. I believe that “Press” will open Calendar and that event. If you
don’t particularly care at that point in time, choose “Close” then return.

Later…

Fwd: Harry Bell's Voice Control Tutorial

2022-06-11 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Forwarding from VI Phone list as there were recent questions. I would expect
that out of the box Voice Control will not execute VoiceOver commands but if
there is a command that you need to voice, it can probably be done with
automator's do AppleScript command.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn
