Problems with panels and windows in the new finder

2014-05-23 Thread Sauro Cesaretti
Hello all,
A week ago I updated my macbook ari to mavericks.
I'm experiencing a problem with the folders in finder.
In particular, before I was able to open several folders in different windows
and with command+w I could close them one by one keeping the history of all the
opened windows.
Now, If I activate or disactivate the option to open the folder in a new panel,
I cannot reproduce the same behaviour.
Could you suggest me something to solve this problem?
Thank you very much in advance

Re: vmware fusion

2013-10-25 Thread Sauro Cesaretti
Hello all,
I'm planning to update on Maverics.
at the moment I have vmware fusion 5 that I bought some months ago.
I'd like to ask you first if it is compatible with Maverics.
and then I'd like to know if version 6 of vmware fusion is still included with
the license of 6.
It is not very clear, because in software update it proposes me version 6 but
I cannot find any button to update.
Thanks in advance for all your answers.

 Hi Don,

 Yes. To create a virtual machine with Vmware fusion,or to bootcamp your hard
 drive, you will need a copy of Windows.

Information about software for music live performance

2013-08-29 Thread Sauro Cesaretti
Hi all,
I'd like to ask you if you have any suggestion for a good app that I can use in
mac osx to work in live performance.
Until now, I have worked with garageband and all the jam packs that I obtained
buying mainstage 2.
the biggest limitations is that I cannot separate the keyboard in two
different channels and I cannot create a patch combined with two sounds like
piano and strings.
I tried to work with mainstage 2 but it is not accessible at all.
I was thinking to use protools but since I have the express version with the
dongle, I dont like it so much to use in live for safety reasons ( I have too
many usb connected to the mac).
Do you have any suggestions?
- Ableton live;
- New version of logic;
- free vst hosts to handle several plugins;
Thanks in advance for all the answers
regards,Sauro

Sound on sound recording on garageband

Hi all,

I tried to use garageband to record some melodies that I'd like to print for

for this reason, I'd like to use sound on sound recording instead of overwrite
when I record.
Do you know if it is possible?
should I change some settings on preferences to do so?
Thanks so much in advance
