Tomorrow (Monday, February 23), Brie Rumery of Fedora Outlier will be our
featured guest on Branco Broadcast at 3:00 p.m. Eastern, 2:00 Central, 1:00

Bronwyn “Brie” Rumery is a Junior Partner along with being the Public
Relations/Social Media Liaison for Fedora Outlier, LLC. She is also the
co-author of Fedora’s “Old Hat Guide to iPhone Accessibility” e-books and
also moderates a weekly interactive Twitter chat entitled, #AccessChat-A
 Twitter Chat Committed to Access.

Fedora Outlier, LLC was founded in June of 2012 by Managing Partner VaShaun
Jones and it is the nation’s first provider of consulting, teaching and
support for Apple’s range of accessible technologies (including the Mac,
iPhone and iPad), Fedora Outlier, LLC, partners with private consumers,
agencies and government organizations to provide better than excellent
products and services to encourage, equip and empower users to do more with
 their technology.

The entire team, including Brie, are either blind or visually impaired and
use some or all of Apple’s products on a daily basis. Therefore, the
knowledge and experience she and her fellow colleagues offer their clients is
not only innovative but “Top Down Better Than Excellent.”

Brie’s claim to fame at the firm is the fact that she suffers from
technophobia and that there was a time that she was quite terrified to even
think about learning how to use an iPhone. Thus, the first e-book for the
firm was conceived which is a true depiction of Brie’s journey from being
“scared to death” to becoming not only a loyal iOS fan but an experienced
 teacher as well.

Brie is also proud to be the moderator of a weekly interactive chat entitled,
“#AccessChat-A Twitter Chat Committed To Access,” which takes place on
Tuesday evenings via Twitter at 8:00 PM Eastern. This chat allows the
blindness community the opportunity to interact with individuals,
organizations or brands that are making and continue to make a difference
 within the blindness community.

When Brie is not busy working she enjoys spending time in Jasper, Georgia
with her husband Scott, daughter Makayla and their two German Shepherd
Fidelco guide dogs. She also enjoys writing short stories poetry, crafting,
listening to various types of music and of course playing word games on her
 iPhone.

Brie can be contacted via email at b...@fedoraoutlier.com

We hope to hear from you tomorrow.

Re: Request for resources

2014-12-17 Thread Scott Rumery
There are many free and paid resources out there if you look. Because we all
learn differently it is hard to know if you would benefit from just listening
to podcasts on the subject or if you would be better off going with a paid
instructor or something.

In full disclosure I can tell you that I work for Fedora Outlier, LLC and that
we do offer one to one teaching on the Mac and we also have a do it yourself
product called the Mac Master Series in which you will go to our website
http://www.macmasterseries.com http://www.macmasterseries.com/ and sign up
and then you can go through all of the content on learning how to use your Mac
with VoiceOver that we have created.

To learn more about these services go to http://www.fedoraoutlier.com
http://www.fedoraoutlier.com/ or http:www.macmasterseries.com

I hope that this helps.

A WordPress Question

2014-05-11 Thread Scott Rumery
For those on the list that are experienced with using the hosted version of
WordPress I have a question for you.

I am currently working on a project at work that requires me to write up blog
posts that have a video recording in them. I then upload this video to our
YouTube page. Now I know that I can just put the link to this video link the
post, but I would actually like to have the video embedded on the page so it
will show up as a frame. This was working a few days ago but for some reason it
no longer works. I have tried using a YouTube plug in but still it doesn't work.

In reading some of the WordPress documentation for our installed version of
WordPress which is 3.9.1 I have learned that this should work automatically by
just pasting the url on its own line in the post but again this doesn't work
for me.

My question to those who have experience with using the WordPress back end is:
does the pasting of a naked url in a post on your site automatically embed the
video in the post?

Thank you for any help with this issue.

Re: Stability of the Mac

2014-04-01 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello Scott,

You will probably get a lot of varying opinions on this topic so you will have
to decide which ones you will take seriously or not. Having said this let me
first tell you that ever since I switched to using a Mac more than 3 years ago
I have become probably one of the biggest Apple fan boys that there is, so my
thoughts on this subject are going to have a strong Apple bias to them.

If you are wanting a computing environment that is very stable compared to
what you are currently getting on the Windows platform then in my opinion you
would be very happy with a Mac.

The instability of my Windows computer is exactly what helped me to make the
decision to make the switch over 3 years ago.

I used to have to restart my Windows computer several times a day and now that
I am on a Mac I hardly ever need to reboot.

You will notice that I said hardly. I have had to restart my Mac once in a
while due to lost speech or something, but as I stated with the use the word
hardly this does not happen with any regularity.

Now having said all of this let me give you a little word of caution about
switching platforms. I teach blind people who make this switch how to use their
Macs for a company called Fedora Outlier, LLC and one the biggest mistakes that
people make is thinking that switching from a Windows computer over to a Mac
computer is going to be easy.

It isn't as easy as one might think. After all you are going to have to learn
how to use a totally different operating system and a new and different screen
reader.

Now having said this if you are determined to learn the new platform and you do
it correctly by this I mean that you don't try and learn everything in one day
you can definitely learn how to use a Mac very quickly.

One more thing. In response to your question as to whether or not a Mac is more
stable than a Windows computer. Remember earlier when I said that when I was
still using a Windows computer I would have to restart the computer several
times a day, well with my current Mac which is 2012 Mac Book Pro with 4
Gigabytes of ram I haven't had to restart it in about 2 weeks. My Mac is on 24
hours a day. During the day when I am working I am actually using it, and at
night the Mac will just sleep, but it hasn't been turned off in at least 2
weeks now and VoiceOver is running flawlessly .

I hope that all of this helps you with your decision and if you need anything
else please just ask.

Have a great day,

Scott Rumery

 Hi Everyone,

As I said previously, I am thinking about getting a Mac and the main reason
is that I am tired of the increasing instability of the PC environment. My
first question is, is this really different on a Mac?

I am using JAWS 15 with Windows 8. Both are not all that stable. I have
been a JAWS user for 17 years and I have noticed a definite progressive
increase in instability with the last few releases. JAWS crashes frequently
and, even if it doesn't crash, it often stops talking when errors occur with
 other applications. Then, there's Windows 8. I don't mind the Windows 8
interface but several times per week, I will have a problem that requires me
to restart my computer. I did not have that nearly as much with Windows 7.
Also, it isn't unusual for me to install a program which will, either
directly or through add ins, make Windows and/or JAWS more unstable. I then
have to decide rather the additional functionality is worth the increased
instability. I'm just tired of all the crashes and reboots and having to use
three or four screen readers because I have to run one when another one
 crashes.

By contrast, my iPhone and iPad, while not perfect, are certainly more
stable. VoiceOver seldom just stops working. Of course, every single app is
not accessible and they do not all work correctly but any problems with an
app are almost always confined only to that app. When an app crashes, it
usually does not also cause VoiceOver or the device to crash. Is this also
 true of the Mac?

I have certainly used technology enough to know that none of it is perfect.
However, I would like something that is better than the PC, when it comes to
stability. Over all, in your experience, is the Mac more stable?

 Thanks,
 Scott Duck

Using FaceTime Audio

2014-02-26 Thread Scott Rumery
After updating to OS 10.9.2 yesterday the first thing that I wanted to try was
making an audio only call from my Mac. It took me some digging around to figure

Re: Facetime Audio Fails Using Mavericks

2014-02-25 Thread Scott Rumery
Here is what I had to do to get FaceTime Audio to work.

1 Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
2 Choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
3 Type: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
4 Click Go.
5 In the Finder window, locate the file named NetworkInterfaces.plist and
drag this file to the Trash.
6 Restart your computer.

Re: Help From The Community

2013-12-03 Thread Scott Rumery
Okay just to be clear on this. I am not asking anyone who has already purchased
this program for Windows to purchase it again, if fact this is one of the
reasons why I would like to get this project completed because Christopher the
developer says that he would have a model in which if you owned one version
such as the Windows version that you would also be able to use that program
license on the other platform without having to purchase another license.

When I first approached him about making a Mac version of Q-Read, my intentions
were completely selfish because I would like to have something like this
available to us Mac users but as he and I talked via emails and he told me what
it would take for him to put the time and expense into this project I told him
that I would try and get him the 40 Mac users that he said he would need before
getting started on this.

If you are not comfortable with agreeing to purchase a program sight unseen I
am sure that we will have an opportunity to beta test this application before
it is ready for release but don’t hold me to that one because I haven’t yet
asked him if this will be the case or not. I am just assuming it is so because
most software developers do like to have their software tested before they deem
it done.

Again, I am only trying to get someone who has a talent for crating accessible
software to realize that there are a lot of us on the Mac platform that would
probably enjoy the chance to use some of his soft ware on our Macs and I
thought that if I put the message out to the community that I would be able to
round up the 40 Mac users that he has requested.

If after reading this you would like to be involved in making this project a
reality just let me know and I will add you to my list, if not then that is
fine as well, but please don’t bash someone for trying to do something that he
believes would be a good thing for the blind Mac users out there. I am only
trying to come up with a solution to a problem that I have on a daily basis and
that is the lack of a truly accessible eBook and PDF reader on the Mac platform.

Thank you all for your indulgence and letting me get this out.

This seems like a good Kickstarter campaign to me. Since I purchased
the QRead software for Windows, I'm not sure I'd rebuy it. I'd
certainly not commit to buying something that doesn't exist yet, and
would require full braille support of the text before I would consider

it is fair to require $1200 in licensing fees from users before you decide

it based on the software itself. Having not tried it, I will not pledge
any money toward the future of something that may not even be released or

Not true. There are thousands of free ePub books available on the Internet if
you are willing to just look for them, and those of us who self publish our own
writings usually create drm free eBooks that can be read with such a program.

I am not saying that Q-Read for the Mac will be the only solution for this type
of thing but as of right now I don’t of any other programs that do this that

I agree that the ability to read Kindle books and iBooks on the Mac would be
great and I know technically we can read iBooks on the Mac but until Apple
improves the accessibility of it I do not consider it a real option for us. At
least for Kindle content we do now have good access to these on iOS, I just
wish that we would get one of these companies to pay attention to the Mac

Help From The Community

2013-12-02 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello everyone,

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday and that now that we are
all back to reality with work and all of the other things that we do on a daily
basis that you will allow me the opportunity to let you in on a little project
of mine.

I recently learned of an accessible ebook reading application called Q-Read.
This is currently only available on the Windows platform but I have been in
contact with the developer who is blind and he has told me that if I can gather
at least 40 Mac users who will agree to purchase the program once he builds it
that he will indeed build it for the Mac.

My question for you all is, would you be interested in such a program on the
Mac and if yes would you please let me know if you will purchase his
application for $30 once it is built? His ultimate goal is to create cross
platform software for the blind on Windows and Macs so once you buy one license
you can use his software on whatever platform that you need it on.

Please let me know privately at blindfait...@gmail.com if I can add your name
to the list of participants for this project.

Thank You,

Scott Rumery

Again, all great points and thank you for putting the information up about the
different formats. I agree, we should not simply dismiss the potential of this

The FN Key

2013-11-25 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello,

I have just received my new wireless keyboard that I am loving except for one
thing. On the right side of the spacebar the 3 keys are: Command, F/N, and
Control. Now me being right handed and all I would prefer to have an option key
on the right side of the spacebar so that it would make using VO a bit easier
when I need to press a key combination that is on the left side of my keyboard.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the F/N key into an option key?

Thank you,

Evernote On Mac

2013-11-19 Thread Scott Rumery
Good morning all,

I am trying to use Evernote on my Mac and I can’t seem to locate the Sign In

username, and password. After the password field I have some unlabeled buttons
and a Register button. I already have an Evernote account so the Register
button does not do me any good. Does anyone on the list know which of the
unlabeled buttons might be the sign in button? After this I am going to contact
their support staff about their lack of accessibility with their Mac app.

Confirmation Of A VO Bug

I've been sitting here all day playing around with the new Mac operating system

Previously, I was able to do this by pressing VO command on an item to add to
my selection now all that I received is in audible beep when I do this. Does
anyone else find this to be true?

 Thank you, Scott

Try to press VO+J instead of using the Enter key. This is the jump command and
when you do this the VO cursor jumps from the message list into the message

. To jump back to the message list just press VO+J again and you will go back

Re: Anyone Using a Logitech K750 or K760 Bluetooth Keyboard

2013-07-10 Thread Scott Rumery
Thank you for letting us know what you think of this keyboard. David
Woodbridge's podcast on this keyboard is where I first heard about it and it is
the ability to quickly switch from one device to the other that has me thinking
of getting it.

Hey Scott and others. Amazing as the Logitech K760 got here today. First
impressions are pretty good. I had been using the Apple Bluetooth keyboard
that comes with the iMac. I notice that this keyboard is a little further
raised up than the Apple keyboard, but I am sure once you get accustomed to
it, you won't even notice it. The touch of the keys are a little different
but comfortable. The Apple keyboard feels much sleeker. If you have been
using the Apple Bluetooth keyboard than the layout of this keyboard is
identical, and the keys feel exactly the same size. The key size was a
concern of mine, as some times they are a little smaller and that really
annoyed me on my bluetooth keyboard that folds up as I was constantly typing
a key off at times. The ability to switch between the mac and iPhone by just
pressing F1 and F2 is the reason to get this keyboard. It switches in seconds
once you get them paired. Listen to David Woodbridge's AppleVis podcast to
learn how to pair it, but it is pretty simple, as I got both the mac and
iPhone paired in minutes with little problems. I believe there is an app or
some kind of software for the keyboard, but I haven't explored that yet. The
keyboard was $50 from Amazon, and being that I rely on a keyboard to do
everything, it is nice to now have two in case anything ever happens to one.
Hope this review and feedback was helpful. LEt me know if you have any
 questions.

VM Ware Help Needed

Re: Announcing the Beta of Talking Dashboard

2013-06-23 Thread Scott Rumery
Hi Alex,

Thank you for these. I want to at some point learn how to write my own Apple
Scripts but as of yet I haven't started that task.

As I clicked on your link Safari opened but all that I had was an empty html
content area, so thinking that something went wrong, I clicked on it again, and
again, and then one more time before I got the bright idea to check my
Downloads folder to see if what I was actually doing was downloading this file
over, and over again.

Sure enough, I had about 4 copies of the file which brings me to my question
for you. Would it be possible for you to write an Apple Script that could give
the user some confirmation when a download had actually started and ended? This
would be a great piece

Re: Kindle now accessible on IOS with Voiceover.

2013-05-01 Thread Scott Rumery
I have recent as my sorting order and they still show up. She does not need
these titles any more but I can't delete them because when I view my library on
Amazon the delete link is in an image, at least this is what Voice Over is
telling me. I have talked to Amazon and I was told that the Delete from Library
link is actually a piece of JavaScript that the screen readers are having
trouble with. The person that I was talking to said that he will forward this
to the appropriate person and that they needed to get this fixed, but I am not
holding my breath.

Does your daughter still need access to those kindle titles? If not, then I
believe you can sign in to your amazon account, go to manage my Kindle, or
something like that, and in there, you can actually delete the books, which
means, should you need them again, you'd have to repurchase them. If you
don't want to do that, then I don't think there is a way you can stop those
older books from showing up when your Amazon app is set to view the items in
the cloud. But if you sort by recent, wouldn't all those older titles show up
after anything you buy? This is assuming you have not been buying Kindle
books for yourself until now, of course.

The easier way is to have everyone call you who wishes to be apart of the

possible, however, go to the table of contacts, and so the add button won't
be dimmed, once you find the contact you wish to add, press vo+command+f5,
then vo+shift+space to left-click on them. This should then make the add
button not dimmed, and you can have them in the call as well.

Re: 1 Password again

2013-03-08 Thread Scott Rumery
Thank you, I have tried using both methods with mixed results. For some reason
when pressing Command plus , backslash does nothing on my system, I will have
to check and see if I have a setting enabled on my system that is causing this
behavior.

When I press Command, Option, Return from within 1 Password itself I hear Voice
Over announce Auto Fill In Browser, but then all that I get is the webpage of
the log in for that site. I will keep investigating this and if I come up with
a solution I will share it with the list just in case anyone else is having a

From my perspective it appears as if the way in which you have
described using 1password seems to involve an extra step. (Forgive any
 confusion on my part).
If I am understanding correctly, you are accessing the 1password app,
finding the particular log-in details, and pressing command-option
enter to invoke the auto-fill feature.
Another possible solution is to actually visit the web site in
question, and then use the native keystroke after having installed the
1password Safari browser extension, which is command-backslash.
I have not had any problems so far outside of having to manually
create my log-in credentials for web sites because the pop-up help

 Hope this has been helpful.

1 Password again

2013-03-07 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello listers,

I almost hate to post on this subject as I got blasted the last time but I am
still having some difficulties with 1 Password. Let me see if I can explain
what is happening.

I cannot seem to get the program to auto submit my saved log in information for
a particular site. I have several of my accounts set up inside of 1 Password
and upon successfully logging into the program I then go to the log ins table,
and focus on the item that I want to log into, then I press the keyboard
combination
of option, command return which is followed by Voice Over saying Auto Fill in
Browser.

At this point Safari will open to the desired website but I will only be on the
page in which I need to enter in my log in info. Am I wrong for thinking that
the program should log me into the site upon pressing the keyboard command, or
am I mistaken?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Scott

Amadeus Pro Tutorial

2013-02-03 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello,

My friend Mike Malarsie has recorded a new tutorial on his How To Be Blind
website and I thought that some people might like to check it out. He is doing
a really good job creating some useful content on his site, and he also
produces a very good podcast if I do say myself. I made that last statement
because I am one of his co-hosts on the roundtable podcast.

YoruFukurou

2013-01-08 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello listers,

I have been using YoruFukurou since I moved over to the Mac more than a year
ago. I tried several Twitter clients since I have been using a Mac and I find
that YoruFukurou is about the best when it comes to accessibility, but I do
have one problem with the program. When I am trying to reply to someones tweet
by pressing the return key on my keyboard for some reason YoruFukurou is
selecting a different tweet than the one Voice Over is reading. The only way
that I can seem to get YoruFukurou to reply to the correct tweet is to
interact with that specific tweet and then press return. My question to the
group is, is this the way that YoruFukurou is suppose to behave or am I doing
something wrong?

Re: YoruFukurou

2013-01-08 Thread Scott Rumery
Yes this was the issue here. I found the solution just after posting my
message. Another thing is that you need to have quicknav turned off and you
need to use the dedicated arrow keys instead of using the number pad. This was
my problem, I have a keyboard with a number pad and I use numpad commanders for
using VO.

Odd Problem With Amadeus Pro

2012-12-13 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello,

I am having an odd problem with Amadeus Pro. I installed the 30 day trial of
the program and I was having an issue where every time I launched the program
the previous sound file that I was working on would always open on launch.
That in and of itself is not unusual but the problem is that I cannot close
this window. When I press command Q, or command W all that I get is a buzzing
sound. The only way that I can exit the program is to force quit.

The other problem is that I cannot open a new sound project or do anything with
this open project. All of the items are dimmed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. I have also repaired disc
permissions thinking that this would fix the problem, still no luck.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to what the problem could be? I
would love to get this fixed as I would like to be able to use this program. I
should also mention that I did purchase the program thinking that maybe the
problem was some kind of limitation that the demo version had, still no luck.

Re: Google Plus?

2012-11-13 Thread Scott Rumery
Hi Mike,

We were going to try and use Google Plus for our podcast but we found it to be
very hard if not impossible to use. I do agree with you that this would be a
great option if it were completely
accessible, but it isn't at this point.

Do you plan on using Skype for the podcast? If so, we might have some trouble
with the sound quality at times. By this I mean that on my end when I am using
Skype will become a bit choppy and the person on the other end will have some
trouble hearing me. I think that we might be able to do something about this
though. If we are going to do this through Skype then maybe if we make sure
that nothing else but Skype and Voice Over is running on our computers. I am
not sure if this will help, but it couldn't hurt. Just a thought.

Plus with that approach of having all participants record their part of the
podcast and then send it to you for the final edit I would think that you would
lose the interactivity of all participants as they would not be able to talk to
one another in order to have a conversation. I think that that the
conversational aspect of doing a podcast like this is crucial. JMO

accessible, but it isn't at this point.

Do you plan on using Skype for the podcast? If so, we might have some
trouble with the sound quality at times. By this I mean that on my end when
I am using Skype will become a bit choppy and the person on the other end
will have some trouble hearing me. I think that we might be able to do
something about this though. If we are going to do this through Skype then
maybe if we make sure that nothing else but Skype and Voice Over is running
on our computers. I am not sure if this will help, but it couldn't hurt.
 Just a thought.

Question About Building A Website

2012-10-07 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello listers,

I have just registered my first web domain and I also installed Wordpress on it
so that I can easily blog on this site. My question to the list is; is there
anyone on the list that has set up there own website? I would like to change
the theme from the Wordpress default theme to something that looks a little
better because eventually I would like to have sighted people coming to my site
as well as the blind community.

Does anyone have any advice on how a blind person can administer a website on a
Mac?

Apolagies To The List

2012-10-02 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello,

I would like to apologize to those of you that I offended by sending out a
promotion for an iTunes gift card that my company is doing. It was not my
intention to send out spam and for the record I do not think what I did is
spam, but I have noticed that a couple of you on this list thought that I was
spamming the list.

We at Fedora Outlier are simply trying to spread the word about about the
company and I thought that I would post the announcement here so that those of
you that would like to be in the drawing could follow us and then be entered.

I will refrain from sending this list any more announcements about Fedora
Outlier in the future.

Again, please accept my sincerest apologies.

Drop Box Issue

2012-09-29 Thread Scott Rumery
Hello,

I am having some trouble with DropBox. More specifically, I have 2 team
members that are having an issue with their DropBox folders do not update when
I add something to a shared folder. The files will be visible if the go to the
DropBox website and log into their account, but if they open their DropBox on
their computer the file or files will not be there.

I have tried to unlink the accounts and then relink them but still the problem
persists. I should mention that both of these team members are on Windows
computers but that should not make a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can try to fix this?

Fedora Outlier LLC has posted a new item, 'Hey You, Get Off My Cloud!'

No, this is not a blog post about The Rolling Stones classic, or for those of
 us
that grew up in the 1980's the Billy Ocean hit either. This is a blog post
 about
all of those cloud based services that you hear about these days. In this
 post I
will talk about two cloud offerings from Apple and why you may want to use
 them.
So, sit back and launch your Pandora application on your iPhone and listen to
your Rolling Stones station, or if you must you can launch that favorite
Eighties channel and listen for that Billy Ocean classic that I was talking
 about before.

I use fusion every day to do my backing tracks in Windows. Should we do a
Q and A over email for me to tell you what you need to know, or would you
prefer a voice chat over Skype?

 Hello,

I am trying to use Fusion to install a VM of Ubuntu Linux on my Mac.
This is my first time trying Fusion and I really do not know how to use
this program yet. Is there anyone on the list that has experience with
Fusion, and if so, would you be willing to give me some tips on how to
 use it?

 Scott

 EMPOWERMENT

Empowerment is a mechanism by which individuals, groups and communities gain
mastery over their affairs. Our firm seeks to empower the blind to find or
create a career they find meaningful, purposeful and profitable.

 FIRM UPDATE

What is just shy of leaps and bounds? I guess it would be a hot skip and a
jump. Whatever the case we are growing by the week. We not only have new team
members we also have new accounts in two states, putting the count at 3. Our
goal by 2016 is to be in all U.S. states.

We can't say too much about the book we will be releasing later this year but
what we can say it's going to be like one you have never seen before. It will
have audio, video, and photos right in the book. It will be the first ever
multi-media book accessible to the blind and at a cost that will knock your
socks off. That sounds like the price will be high, but its going to be
really cheap for what you get. The teaser is it will be written on the Apple
secrets on how to master iOS.

The truth of the matter is that we are excited about the lives we change, the
fun we have doing it and the pleasure we derive from the Apple WOW factor and
our ability to bring to the blind community something they have never seen
 before. LOL

 CALL TO ACTION

OK, here's the deal! The numbers on new subscribers to this newsletter for
this month is low based on our goal of 40 new subscribers per week. We are at
 82. If you love us you'll tell us that you don't like all or a part of our
newsletter and tell us what you would like to see in future issues, so we can
improve them. The changes we are making on our end is that we've brought on
a social media maven and she's going to help promote and boost the numbers
 and help with subscribers.

Twitter is going good and Facebook has a face of its own with 2 page LIKES
this week. We'll need to get these numbers up if we want to make an impact in
the social-verse, so tell your friends, family and enemies to follow us. We
thank you for your help thus far.

 Reading Is Fundamental

Posted under:Blind,Empowerment,Story,You and Technology by Brie

How are you able to enjoy reading a book if you can’t see? Do all of your
books have to be in Braille? Where do you get your books from? Recently these
questions were asked by the daughter of a dear friend of mine. To me, they
are very simple questions. However, to the sighted, they are very legitimate
 ones.
