Re: Question about update

2022-11-27 Thread bbsshawn via MacVisionaries
Hi. I know this thread ended a few days ago, but I just wanted to add that 2017
MacBook Air models can't be upgraded to Ventura natively. I say natively
because it can still be done. There are just a lot of steps involved and Apple
frowns upon it. I won't say how you do it on here but if you're adventurous and
want to upgrade your old Mac, write to me off list.

Re: Question about update

2022-11-24 Thread Brad Snyder
A friend of mine in Canada, runs an Internet radio station, using a 2009 Mac
pro running macOS 10.13, High Sierra. His radio station runs fine, 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year. He never reboots the Mac and it runs like a champ on the
old OS.
That being said, your 2015 Mac book air should run just fine for a long time on
macOS Monterey.

Re: question about update

2015-07-21 Thread Eugenia Firth
The only problem I am having is my illustrious printer. I have an open case
again because my Cannon 210 printer is listed, by Cannon, as not working with
Yosemite. Never mind that it was working earlier but since 10.4. Otherwise, I’m
ok. The printer thing was a big surprise, and it is not listed on the list of
printer drivers any more on my Mac. I refuse to buy another printer because
this blind gal doesn’t print too often unless somebody else wants something.

automatically update OS 10? In my previous message I wrote IOS, but it’s OS.

What’s the difference between IOS and OS? How do I answer yes or not?

Thanks,
