   That could be. I had the same results and did not have any tones not 
already in the Tones folder.

Hi,

It seems that there's a bug in iTunes.  Even though the Tones reside on your 
iPhone, they're not showing up.  You can copy new ones over, and the Tones 
table will populate with the new ones, but I don't think that they really 
transfer properly.  When I did a copy of tones over to the iPhone, they just 
said "Copying" forever.  That may be because the tones already exist, but I'm 
not sure yet.  In any case, things aren't working totally as they should.

Hi,

You need to check the box to manually manage videos that is located in the 
Summary pane when the iPhone is connected to the Mac.  Once that checkbox is 
checked and that settings has been applied, then you can delete custom 
ring-tones.
