Hi,

I hope to see your language in next canola! :-)

I can translate Canola to Finnish (fi_FI).

Please do :-) Just download the files at our garage.maemo project
page. Are you familiar with gettext/PO translations? If not, just mail
me.

Re: [maemo-developers] Re: Translate Canola to your language!

2007-01-12 Thread Diego Escalante

Gustavo,

there are some little mistakes in the spanish translation (not worth a patch):

In line 24 of file canola-applet/po/es_ES.po:
the message reads:
msgstr ¡No se ha podido analizar a colección!
should read:
msgstr ¡No se ha podido analizar la colección! (note the new 'l')

Also in the file libcanola-plugins-base/po/es_ES.po:
reads:
 msgstr Imagen
should read:
 msgstr Imágen

I hope it's useful.

See ya

Wrong!
Imagen was correct. If you are unsure please check http://www.rae.es/
Plural is Imágenes

Cheers!

Sorry for the first one, a typo, thanks for noticing :)

About the second one, Imagen (without tilde) is correct, as someone
already pointed.

I already changed to Diego, should I revert Imágen to Imagen?

Hi

Please mail me before translating, or your job may be lost :-(

I normally think the world should get used to english software, movies,..
but I would like to do a german translation (I am from Austria; german is
native language) of canola, if no one else is up for it yet.

Hi Simon,

I also use english software myself, but many don't, so we do the
translations :-)

I'm waiting for your German translation! Do you know how to do it? Are
you familiar with gettext? Mail me if you have any questions.

BTW, pay attention to phrases and single words, try to guess the
context they show (po files have the source code file, it's not that
good, but may provide hints). Brazilian portuguese have some problems
with objects and other non-personal having gender... So All can be
translated to both male or female, depending on the context.
