[mailop] outlook.com duplicate emails with "MailboxResubmission" in headers?

2020-05-14 Thread Robert L Mathews via mailop
One of our customers says that every message they've sent in the last
few days to multiple independent people who use outlook.com suddenly got
a second copy redelivered today.

We were able to get a copy of the headers from one of those
redeliveries, and those headers begin with this (rewrapped so they fit
here, but otherwise unedited):

Received: from DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com

The headers then go on to have more May 12 dates as expected, showing
our original delivery to outlook.com.

This seems to show that the message was redelivered entirely within
outlook.com after 2 days with an unusual "MailboxResubmission". But I
can't turn up anything related to that in a search.

Have other people seen this?

[mailop] Help with an AT issue

2020-05-14 Thread Michael E. Weisel via mailop
Hi Mailopers, I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. I’m hopefully
looking for some help from someone at Verizon/OATH/AT with a sporadic AT
block on our clients IP pool. We thought we pinpointed the issue (and the team
at AT unblocked it), but it came back a little less than two weeks later.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [mailop] Anybody seeing a spike of S844 error from Microsoft

Hello,

We are seeing a spike of S844 errors from Microsoft started on May 12. SNDS
doesn't show any changes. To add to the puzzle, it is happening to only one of
our datacenters / IP network only, the rest is completely normal.

Thanks in advance,

[mailop] AOL / Yahoo de-listing blocked IPs

2020-05-14 Thread Andre Mascak via mailop
Hello,

We had a compromised account sending spam to Yahoo accounts two months
back. The account was locked down and updated, and we've been trying to
get the IP de-listed ever since. Is there anyone that could contact me
off list for this?

Thank you,
Andre

Benoît,

I'm just curious - have you received _new_ FBLs for mailboxes of the
students you have called to?

[mailop] outlook.de all emails from a specific sender flagged as spam, triggering false positive feedback loop - no remedy?

2020-05-14 Thread Benoît Panizzon via mailop
Dear List

A teacher is customer on our email platform and with covid-19
homeschool, she is sending daily email to her class.

Each and every emails she is sending to a student with an outlook.de
email address, causes a spam complaint to be sent to our abuse desk.

I asked the teacher multiple times to double-check the email addresses
of her students. She did. Still incoming daily complaints.

So I called her today and she confirmed she looked at the issue with
the affected student and they confirmed the email address @outlook.de
was correct. She asked me to contact her student to confirm this myself.

So I called her student and learned that indeed, the email address was
correct but that all emails from her teacher were being flagged a spam.
She could not find any way to flag those emails as not being spam.

I suppose the student by mistake once flagged one email as spam and
somehow outlook.de now flags all those emails as spam and generates
feeback loop complaints.

Does anyone know how to stop this?
