Dear P Syafril

Terima kasih informasinya, jadi kesimpulannya adalah upgrade to vers 20.0.

Apabila kita menggunakan POP3 dan sudah di upgrade ke versi 20.0.0 dapat 
melakukan RECALL dari local outlook client mail?

Atau memang harus tetap IMAP protocol?

Karena rata2 client disini menggunakan protocol POP3

Tidak bisa untuk compose new mail di MD v15.x Karena recall itu membutuhkan 
message-ID untuk menentukan mana message yang akan di recall, padahal Outlook 
tidak generate message-ID saat compose new message.

Kalau di MD 20.x keatas bisa, karena menggunakan mekanisme yang berbeda dimana 
semua message yang bisa di recall masuk kedalam queue khusus (Deferred Queue) 
dimana message-ID (jika tidak ada) akan otomatis ditambahkan oleh MDaemon.

Di MD 20.x pastikan menu berikut aktif

Yang artinya message recall hanya bisa berjalan jika email client mengaktifkan 
SMTPAuthentication.

Kalau kirim (compose new) mailnya lewat worldclient maka akan bisa di 
recall, tetapi kalau kirimnya (compose new mail) dari/lewat outlook dan 
ingin di recall lewat Worldclent webmail *tidak bisa* kalau masih pakai 
MDaemon versi dibawah 20.x, dengan alasan yang sama dengan diatas (tidak 
ada message-ID yang digenerate oleh Outlook).

Di MD 20.x pun hanya bisa dilakukan seperti itu jika outlook pakai 
konfigurasi IMAP dan di set Sent Item Foldernya berada di IMAP server.

Mohon Pencerahannya, saya ingin menanyakan Perihal RECALL message, satta ini
kami menggunakan Mdaemon Server V15.03 dan AV 5.5.2.

 

1. apakah RECALL  message dari Sent Item Folder mail Client ( outlook )
tidak dapat dilakukan ?,  kamis udah mencoba dengan cara - cara seperti
dibawah ini   

- a) From your mail client's Sent folder right-click (or
whatever your mail client requires) and Forward As Attachment the email(s)
that you want to recall, put

RECALL as the message subject and send that to the MDaemon@ system account.
--> Tidak Sukses 

b) From your mail client's Sent folder view the headers of
the message you want to recall. Copy the Message-ID header value (the part
to the RIGHT of the Message-ID: string) to the clipboard. 

Create a new message to the MDaemon@ system account and place RECALL plus
the message ID value on the subject. It should look something like this:
RECALL 5268dc1a.1020...@example.com   

--> Tidak Sukses, Dikarenakan  Message ID-Header tidak tampil ( gambar
dibawah )

 



 

 

c). RECALL melalui Worlclient ( webmail ) tidak bisa ( tidak
Sukses ), dikarenakan email yang ada di local Sent Items tidak ditemukan (
tidak tercopy ) di Sent Items World Client Folder. Apakah saya salah/ada
kekurangan  dalam konfigurasi di Mdaemon Server saya.

 

 

2. Apakah RECALL Message dari Client Mail harus di dukung oleh Active Sync
atau Outlook Connector dahulu ?

Salin selected text yang akan di quote ulang, yang sesuai contex, ke atas
signature lalu hapus quote text yang ada dibawah baris "-Original

Apabila kita menggunakan POP3 dan sudah di upgrade ke versi 20.0.0 dapat

Atau memang harus tetap IMAP protocol?



Harus pakai IMAP protocol atau Webmail atau Activesync.
Intinya message yang akan di recall harus tetap ada di MDaemon mail server.
Tidak ada mekanisme untuk tarik (delete) yang akan di recall dari POP3 client.


Karena rata2 client disini menggunakan protocol POP3

Hardisk itu sekarang sudah murah, khususnya untuk SATA.
External Disk/USB SATA "user level" 1 TB harganya sudah dibawah 1 juta.
Memang sih disk "user level" hanya akan bertahan 3 tahun (paling lama 5 tahun) 
jika dipakai di Server yang hidup 7x24 jam.
Sebaiknya sih sebelum 3 tahun di ganti disknya ke type "Enterprise" level yang 
punya live time 7 - 10 tahun.


MD 20.x butuh OS 64 bit dan H/W dengan CPU 64 bit serta RAM minimal 8 GB jika 
pakai Motherboard server edition (butuh minimal 12 GB jika pakai Motherboard 
Workstattion Edition).

CPU Muticore dan atau multi processor akan lebih baik.
Jika run di Virtual Machine akan memudahkan dilakukan backup menggunakan utility 
yang built in di Virtual Machine sehingga mempecepat proses recovery saat 
terjadi system crashed.
