Dear Moderator,

Saya melakukan upgrade dari versi Mdaemon 12.0.1 ke V12.5.3. Saya
menggunakan Win XP sp3 dan sdh install Ms Installer 3.1, tetapi "Unknown
error launching package [1603]" selalu muncul. Mohon di berikan penjelasan
kenapa error ini bisa terjadi?
Saya menggunakan AV Kaspersky apakah itu menjadi kendala?

 ‎Dear Pak Syafril,Mohon tanya pak, kami menggunakan mdaemon v13.6.2, pada saat open worldclient kenapa toolbar icon spam (icon Ibu jari ke atas dan ke bawah warna kuning) tidak muncul. Setting utk memunculkan icon tsb ada di mana ya pak?Terima kasih.

[MDaemon-L] Setting user email

 ‎Dear Pak syafril,Mohon bantuannya, saya mempunyai 1 domain dan menggunakan mdaemon dengan setting multipop utk tiap usernya. Ada 1 user yg tidak saya daftarkan di mdaemon krn akan di receive lewat android, jadi hanya terdaftar di hosting saja. Pertanyaanya, semua user yg terdaftar di mdaemon tidak dpt kirim email ke 1 user tsb. Bagaimanakah solusinya pak?Terima kasih

[MDaemon-L] html signature

Dear Pak Syafril

Mohon bantuan, saya sedang men setting  html signature di mdaemon server v 
14.03, dengan cara copy paste dr script dreamweaver ke server mdaemon. 
Pertanyaan saya, imagenya harus saya copy di folder mana ya pak? Krn skrg 
apabila kirim email, image nya tidak tampil.

Kami menggunakan server Mdaemon dengan setting Multi Pop, dimana password 
user email yang berada di hosting berbeda dengan user email di mdaemon.

Mail ditolak oleh smarthost server.indoproweb.com (=
mail.sunlakehotel.com) karena tidak diaktifkan smtpauthentication.

Aktifkan smtpauthentication saat relay melalui smarthost di domain manager.

Saya menggunakan Mdaemon untuk 2 domain, ISP saya sudah membuatkan PTR 
record untuk IP
116.254.103.30 namanya mail2.merlynnparkhotel.com 
30.103.254.116.in-addr.arpa PTR   mail2.merlynnparkhotel.com.

Pertanyaannya, saya mempunyai domain ke 2 ( metrohotel.co.id) di Mdaemon yg 
sama dengan ip public 116.254.103.30, apakah perlu di set juga ptr record 
nya di sisi provider?

Tidak perlu, 1 IP sebaiknya punya single PTR record saja (unique)
Dengan 1 PTR record maka semua domain tetap pakai 1 nama SMTP host (FQDN
host) = mail2.merlynnparkhotel.com di setting domain manager.

Apakah DNS A record di hosting metrohotel.co.id perlu di setting juga pak? 
Kalau perlu harus di isi alamat yg mana?

Ya perlu, untuk kemudahan client/user akses ke webmail atau mail service
(pop/imap/smtp).
Di hosting metrohotel.co.id DNS A record nya  saya isikan 
mail2.merlynnparkhotel.com A 116.254.103.30 kenapa tidak mau ya pak? 

Malah menjadi mail2.merlynnparkhotel.com.metrohotel.co.id A 116.254.103.30

Kesalahan ada di mana ya pak?

Kedua MD ini mempunyai domain yg sama yaitu hotel-manhattan.com. MD 1 ini 
saya buat karena load pengiriman email sangat tinggi shg saya takut 
mengganggu activitas di MD2.

Pertanyaan nya user di MD 1 ini tidak dapat mengirim ke user di MD 2, saya 
sudah lakukan

Daftar akun MD2 itu di MD1 tetapi tidak usah diaktifkan
multipop melainkan diaktifkan autoforwarding ke diri sendiri dengan
advance setting send to smarthost atau mail hoster.

Akun di MD2 tetap diaktifkan multipop, walau tidak perlu mengaktifkan
autoforwarding.
Akun di MD2 memang sudah aktif multipop dan normal incoming outgoing mail 
nya. Kendalanya hanya tidak bisa terima email dari user MD1. Ada setting 
apalagi yang kurang ya pak? tq.

Dear Pak Syafril,

Saya memakai worl client v.15.00, saya mempunyai bbrp kendala apabila 
message di inbox di double klik ke windows yg baru:
1. attachment sering tidak muncul dalam email tersebut (kadang bisa muncul)
2. baris cc tidak dapat terlihat

2 Masalah ini tidak terjadi pada saat melihat email dari right view ( 
samping tampilan email).

Apakah ada setting yang perlu di perbaiki pak?

Baik Pak akan saya coba.
Bisa run di existing MDaemon, dan tidak harus pakai domain (subdomain)
yang terpisah.
Pemakaian sub domain (misalkan list.hotel-manhattan.com) lebih untuk
kemudahan membedakan nama akun dengan nama mailing list.
Kalau jumlah list member masih dibawah 50 tidak masalah, tetapi kalau
sudah diatas 50 bisa pakai groups untuk mempercepat proses distribusi
mail dari mailing list.
Pertanyaan ke 3, sekarang kami menggunakan mdaemon license 25 user, dengan 
digunakan untuk mailing list apakah kami perlu membeli license tambahan? 
User terpakai hanya 20 untuk sementara ini.

1. Apakah di sebab kan footer yang terlalu panjang?

2. Padahal Footer hanya berupa logo dan keterangan address.

3. Part break berupa html pada email di bawah di create oleh siapa ya pak? 
Sampai panjang sekali text nya.

Baru ganti relayhost atau mailhoster/ISP Anda yang melakukan perubahan
incoming relayhost?


Kami baru ganti hosting pak.




Dengan pergantian DNS yang berlaku sekarang tidak boleh lagi pakai isian
smarthost = mail.hotel-manhattan.com yang sekarang = hotel-manhattan.com
= www.hotel-manhattan.com.

BTW. Periksa juga apakah multipop dan mail forwarding ada error dengan
adanya perubahan DNS oleh ISP.


Apabila kami tetap akan menggunakan mail.hotel-manhattan.com, maka dari sisi 
mana yang harus di setting ya pak?

[MDaemon-L] tanya smart host dan direct send mail

Dear Pak Syafril,


Mohon bantuan beberapa pertanyaan saya.


1. Di dalam attachment, user kami tidak dapat mengirim kan email keluar. 
Apakah di sebabkan karena spam filternya yg bermasalah?


2. Karena bbrp kali spam filter mengalami kendala, apakah lebih baik 
pengiriman menggunakan direct saja? apakah perlu di setting smtp outbond 
port menjadi 25? Apakah keuntungan dan kerugian pengiriman email secara 
direct? 


3. Dengan pengiriman direct maka kami tidak menggunakan smart host, apakah 
keuntungan kerugian nya tidak menggunakan smart host pd pengiriman email?

Dear Pak Syafril,

Saya menggunakan SSL dari mdaemon untuk meng akses worldclient. Apabila di 
akses worldclient tsb selalu ada peringatan untrusted site. Saya berencana 
untuk membeli SSL supaya Worldclient saya mjd trusted site.

Mohon di berikan langkah2 yang harus saya lakukan.

Tampilan WorldClient saya seperti dalam attachment, tidak ada indicator 
quote levelnya hanya garis hitam saja di sebelah kiri. Setting apakah yang 
harus di lakukan agar WorldClient dapat memunculkan Quote Level indicator

Memangnya pakai koneksi internet apa sehingga masih pakai multipop?
Kalau sudah pakai koneksi fixed public IP akan lebih baik beralih ke
koneksi SMTP base misalkan direct atau ETRN atau ODMR.
Kami menggunakan koneksi internet Baseband dan IP Public di server MD.
Kami menggunakan Multipop tujuan nya agar apabila di mail server MD kami 
bermasalah (comp rusak atau HD rusak) email masih bisa di akses lewat 
webmail.
Apakah dengan menggunakan koneksi ETRN atau OMDR juga bisa ada backup nya 
spt Multipop?
Mohon di berikan tutorial langkah2 apa yg perlu di lakukan apabila kami akan 
menggunakan ETRN atau OMDR.
Dengan SMTP base connection maka MDaemon Anda akan bisa melakukan
rejection terhadap spam di level smtp juga melalui fasilitas antispam
content filtering.
Jadi tidak perlu menggunakan Anti Spam (yg ada di cpanel) dari Provider y 
pak?

Kami berlanggan jasa mail relay dengan Dutaservisindo sudah 1 tahun lebih.

Sudah 3 hari ini domain kami tidak bisa menerima email dari 
hotelpartn...@go-mmt.com.

hotelpartn...@go-mmt.com adalah email add yg digunakan backend system dan dpt 
mengirim kan email ke beberapa alamat email sekaligus.

Problem nya adalah apabila kami kirim email ke domain kami sendiri 
@sunlakehotel.com atau ke @hotel-manhattan.com, email tidak bisa 
receive dan menurut supp...@dutaservisindo.co.id tidak ada transaksi sama 
sekali di mail relay dutaservisindo, padahal email add 
gmail yg kami sertakan dlm pengiriman dr backend tsb langsung dpt receive.

Tujuan saya email ke sini adalah meminta petunjuk P.Syafril apakah yg harus di 
lakukan? Karena sampai email ini saya kirim masalah 
masih belum solve.

Semua record transaksi email complain saya (hand...@sunlakehotel.com) ada di 
supp...@dutaservisindo.co.id mohon bapak bisa 
mempelajarinya dan memberikan solusi yg terbaik mengingat email tersebut adalah

Mohon bantuan nya. Domain kami merlynnparkhotel.com yg relay ke server dutaint 
tidak bisa menerima email dari jumat malam  sampai sekarang.

Mohon dibantu ada kendala dimana y. Mengingat hari ini dutaint libur, dan 
support jg spt nya libur jg jadi reply email nya lama.

Error yg ada di MD kami "socket error 10054 connection error by the other side".

 Dear Pak Syafril,Server MD sy mempunyai 2 NIC, 1 ip public, 1 nya ip LAN. Saya barusan mengganti ip LAN saya. Kenapa semua user jadi ga bisa login ya? Error nya remote access forbidden. Hanya admin yg bisa login.Mohon pencerahannya.RegardsHandoyo

[MDaemon-L] Migrasi MD Server 32 bit ke 64 bit

server baru (berbeda server).

Mohon dapat di berikan step by step untuk prosedure migrasi MD server 32 bit ke
