It's a bit messy, but one option would be mastic on the mating surfaces and self-tappers to fix position. I have... also, in Phoenix, in the Mexican section... Lots of free range chickens... Funny little side story, about 3 weeks ago.. was talking to a cop friend here who had just busted two women in a van who were driving the neighborhoods and stealing chickens.. when they opened the van.. it had two pigs and a goat, as well as a number of "chicken napped" chickens... AND .. a supply of meth and other drugs... They were known players with a stack of wants and warrants.. so the free range city chickens are safe for now while they are in secure housing at the womens prison... violation of parole, so not even a trial just straight to jail... oops.. Not knowing just how "custom" your piece is, I'll hazard a suggestion. Try a 3M product called VHB double sided tape... VHB stands for "Very High Bond"... and once it sticks... it sticks.. so you might need to "learn" how to best use the tape to get your desired result. It was developed to hold emblems on cars, and is now used to attach things like spoilers and fender flares.. holds up in heat and cold... etc.. Marginally expensive... not horrible... Three decades back was more a tipping point than a Golden, or Silver Age. I think is was a better place to be a kid, but on a steep downward trend. You could still play outside with school friends without being molested by cops and nosy nanny neighbors. Walk or ride a bike to school and eat a PB without exploding or being castigated into submission. You could be in band and expect to maybe have a chance at playing an instrument live, with a real live natural vocalist, not some bumpy-thumpy bass laden skritchy-skratchy compu-squeek backing to auto tune lyrics that approach the dissonance of mating cicadas. For people born after 1990, the situation was far worse, as the nannies came out in force. You had to have a Day Planner for your Toddler Playdates. White Guilt was creeping like a slime mold mated to kudzu, making the incipient plague of Political Correctness that was born in the 80’s, into a puritanical virtue. There had to be a PROGRAM and Bodyguard on station for you to learn a skill, be it reading, bike riding, heaven forbid you climb a tree, let alone the playground jungle gym (now whitewashed into Big Toy, to avoid harming non whites) Cars were just beginning to catch the computer complication, but were very approachable by any near imbecile who knew the proper end of a wrench or other basic hand tool. Much the same skill set as had held their fathers and grandfathers in good stead when wrestling recalcitrant rides. Medical care was becoming enamored of the Monty Python “Machine That Goes Ping”, but still provided reasonable access to care at a price that did not bankrupt a person. You could always go all out for Heroic Measures, but had minimal expectation that they would actually have a positive impact. If you had HIV, you were dead, so live your life as best you could, the death sentence was laid, just no sure date given. What I really miss the most is actually dealing with a living human, face to face, to conduct your business or other social situation. No staring at a screen for hour on end, unless you had a beer in hand and were watching the same set of TV shows the rest of the nation was. Maybe there was a bit more programming available with UPN and CW in your market, otherwise it was the big three and PBS, maybe a few UHF stations. And just to elaborate, I used their kit for a W126. Everything mated up as promised, installation was simple and straightforward. Definitely made a difference in performance. My car had already been converted to R134a so I had a point of reference. Vent temps were lower and it was more responsive. The OE R12 system (converted to R134a) would have noticeable changes in vent temperature at idle, for example. You could feel it blowing warmer air when sitting at a stop light, for instance. As soon as you started moving it would cool down. From the research I did I found that nearly all of the streaming services have DVR capabilities built in for free. We use YouTube TV, which is $56/month, and it has scheduling and DVR functions as a part of the deal. Unlimited storage, so you can set schedules for stuff you might not even decide to watch and it will sit there indefinitely. The wife has recorded some movies on it I might watch, but to be honest, I never look at it. We’re very pleased with it compared to cable. The wife’s the TV watcher and she’s happy, so that’s really all that matters. Again, Pluto TV has a lot of content and much of it is organized into channels, so it’s easy to pick out the stuff you want to watch. If you’re into any old TV series, they’re probably on it somewhere. With internet access, YouTube TV and a small subscription I pay ($5/month) for over the air scheduling for my over the air DVR we pay less than $120/month for everything. I need to do something soon. My main holdback has been DVR. I never watch TV in real time except for the news. I think some of the streaming services now offer some sort of DVR. Whatever steaming service I get would have to have my locals as I’m too far out to get good signal OTA. Plus I need to be able to DVR those also. French pensioner ejected from fighter jet after accidentally grabbing bang seat* handle That's a retirement day present he won't forget An elderly and reluctant Frenchman was ejected from a French Air Force fighter during a retirement day jolly – and narrowly missed taking the pilot with him, an investigation report littered with unintentional howlers has revealed. The unnamed 64-year-old was éjecté from the two-seat Rafale-B from a height of 2,500ft in March last year after grabbing his ejection seat handle to steady himself, France's BEA-E aviation investigator concluded. Although the BEA's full report is in French [PDF], aviation news website Aerotime Hub translated and summarised its contents, revealing the full comedy of errors triggered by a group of enthusiastic colleagues hoping to give their workmate a send-off to remember. As he was an employee of a defence contractor, the pensioner's bosses had no difficulties asking the French Air Force to let him into the back seat of one of its Dassault Rafale fighter jets as a surprise retirement gift. Nonetheless, the unfortunate Frenchman had "never expressed a desire to carry out this type of flight and in particular on Rafale", which didn't stop his colleagues luring him to Saint-Dizier air base anyway. The flight itself was a routine military training sortie for three Rafales, carried out in perfect weather. Our pensioner, heart pounding at "between 136 and 142 beats per minute" (as recorded by his smartwatch), underwent a quick medical exam from a doctor four hours before being shown by the pilot how to put on his safety gear. Unfortunately, no one properly checked him as he clambered into the cockpit – meaning "his [helmet] visor was up, his anti-g pants were not worn properly, his helmet and oxygen mask were both unattached, and his seat straps were not tight enough." Nonetheless, a mechanic gave them both a cursory check, strapped a Go-Pro to an approved bulkhead mounting point so the hapless passenger's gurning would be preserved for all time, and nodded to the pilot to close the transparent cockpit canopies. Things got worse when the pilot took off from northeastern France's Saint-Dizier Robinson airbase. Rather than the gentle ascent at 10°-15° that airline passengers experience, the Frenchman at the Rafale's controls carried out a typical fighter jet departure and "climbed at 47°, generating a load factor of around +4G. Then, as he levelled off, he subjected his passenger to a negative load factor of about -0.6G". A little challenge for those of you who pay for TV packages. Clock yourself for 1 hr of TV watching, any channel or channels you choose. During that hour, every time an advertisement comes on, make a mark on a note pad. Since adverts usually run back to back, count each advertiser as a separate advertisement. At the end of the hour, count up the number of marks you have recorded.. it will amaze you. For the truly industrious, use a stop watch and time the advert time vs "show time", and add that up with the hash marks... ie number and total time. Remember, you are paying for them, same as "show time". I did exactly this, and canceled cable... bought a broadcast antenna [the one you see where some guy is on his boat in gulf of Mexico] for $20 and never looked back... Life is better, for me, anyway. The cable company still gets a few $$ each month for internet connection, and about $200 less for no TV... We cut the cord last year and haven’t looked back. So much of the cable channel packages are cruft. I don’t watch TV, other than right before bed when I’ll doze off to something I’ve recorded, like Family Guy or Perry Mason. On occasion there are some mainstream shows I’ll stop and watch. One the wife discovered recently is Damien Lewis’ “Spy Wars” and is pretty engaging. When we had the History Channel variants I would watch documentaries on WWII subject matter occasionally, too.
