Yeah they have 2 on each main gear and 2 on the front, so 6 tires. Blowing a tire on landing is not "normal" but it isn't unheard of. Be aware that the 292 inline 6 is a bit of a thirsty devil. I had one in a 1968 Chevy C10 for many years. I don't know what happened with the Mercedes. The Mom who owned it, wanted to change vehicles and suggested she would sell for a price that I thought sounded fairly reasonable. I expressed interest in buying it and all of a sudden, the asking price went way up so I declined. Their office moved out of our building not long after so I had no more contact with her.
