[MBZ] Windshield de-scratching

[Buggered Benzmail via Mercedes]

Has anyone ever done something to remove wiper scratches from a windshield?  
This is not like a broken wiper has gouged the glass but an arc about 1.5” wide 
where the wiper has gone back and forth scratching it. 

I see some pads and glass polish for the DA polisher that supposedly can get 
out scratches etc. I was thinking to get that.

You folks must be seeing different photos than I am. It certainly looks 
to be an early W114/115. If I recall correctly, there was a revision in 
the style at some point and the newer models have a shorter grill and a 
assume, a lower hood line to match. This one does not appear to have the 
correct foglights. The ones on it are too big.
