Ad hominem occurs from both political persuasions.
There are zero solutions, however, we could agree that we are persons
that all desire to continue to live. Those with money cannot continue
to make money if we do not purchase stuff, yet, we all need to
purchase stuff. I drive a 30 year old used car and buy used USA made
stuff on purpose. On purpose I do not purchase items made in china.
The Empire is dead. USA and tenticles worldwide make the Empire a
world failure.
Again, there is zero solution.

Re: [MBZ] OT: Big chil indeed.

2015-03-19 Thread Greg Fiorentino via Mercedes
Let's see! Where to begin?

Warmer is much better than colder (for the US). The proposed solutions would
seriously deteriorate the economic status of the poor and middle class (in the
US). The former head of the IPCC has admitted that this cause is a religion to
him. There are vast areas of the earth's surface for which we have no accurate
temperature readings. "Climate Science" is NOT a science in the sense that
there have not been null hypotheses which have been controverted by data. The
issue has been heavily politicized by so called "progressives" and their fellow
travelers of the press corps. Data have been altered and cherry picked without
transparent justification.

The leftist language police don't want to allow the use of the term "climate
skeptic" but rather call us "deniers" in order to evoke images of Nazism and
associate us with holocaust deniers; using the ad hominem approach since they
lack actual scientific evidence for their chicken-little hysteria.

Don't get me started here!

<http://click1.email.energyguardian.net/hsqfnsghmdjzbffszsbjczmnwszhbwnpdpqwdqbsvhhnn_kttdmlmdl.html?a=12543>

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal records show that this winter and the first two
months of 2015 were the hottest on record globally, with a chilly U.S. East
sticking out like a cold thumb in a toastier world.

At nearly 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit above 20th century average, last month was the
second warmest February on record globally, slightly behind 1998.

But the combined January and February temperature beat the old record for the
first two months set in 2002. December through February broke the
meteorological winter record set in 2007.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration records go back to 1880.

Nothing we do is going to make much difference, IF it is a matter of oil
consumption etc, so long as places like China and India keep on as they
are. Sending them truck loads of our money in order to pursuade them not
to pollute is not likely to do much for either them or us.

Add to that the proposed solutions all increase government, taxes,

so the morning tides are really high. My back yard is flooded more than

Actually, Andrew, what he said is correct. The records are being cooked,
big time. There is a political agenda behind that activity.

If I had nothing else to do (HA!), I would detail more of the prostituting

Andrew,

The data is being cooked in order to keep the billions of research dollars
flowing for global warming / climate change / anthropogenic global
warming. Past temperature data has either been adjusted to make the past
colder (which means we MUST be warmer now, right) or past data which
"doesn't fit the models predictions" is conveniently deleted from the
computations...

https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/temperature-adjustments-at-uscrn1-stations/

In case you've missed this in the past, here is a list of 1000 REAL
scientists who disagree with the contention that CO2 is going to destroy
the earth:

http://cfact.org/pdf/2010_Senate_Minority_Report.pdf

If you don't care to read all 321 pages of that report, here's just a
sample of what is inside:

"Atmospheric Physicist Dr. John Reid, who worked with Australia’s CSIRO’s
(Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) Division of
Oceanography and worked in surface gravity waves (ocean waves) research,
rejected
man-made global warming fears in October 2009. Reid bluntly called the
climate fear
movement “a new religion that has grown out of secular humanism.” He
explained that
“Gore has taken a role corresponding to that of St Paul in proselytizing
the new faith.”
Reid explained: “My skepticism about AGW arises from the fact that as a
physicist who
has worked in closely related areas, I know how poor the underlying science
is. In effect
the scientific method has been abandoned in this field. Back in the early
1990s when I
was still working for the CSIRO and the early versions of the AGW theory
started to gain
currency, I was rather bemused by the passions which were aroused in my
colleagues and
the gullibility with which predictions of future climate disaster were
accepted.” He
added: “In effect a new religion has grown out of secular humanism. Global
warming is
the central tenet of this new belief system in much the same way that the
Resurrection is
the central tenet of Christianity. Al Gore has taken a role corresponding
to that of St Paul
in proselytizing the new faith. Meteorologists regularly test
model ‘skill’. Climatologists don’t seem to have a concept of testing, and
prefer to use the term
‘verification’ instead—that is, they do not seek to invalidate their
models; they only seek supporting evidence.”

Winter sets global heat record despite US East's big chill

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal records show that this winter and the first two
months of 2015 were the hottest on record globally, with a chilly U.S. East
sticking out like a cold thumb in a toastier world.

At nearly 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit above 20th century average, last month was
the second warmest February on record globally, slightly behind 1998.

But the combined January and February temperature beat the old record for
the first two months set in 2002. December through February broke the
meteorological winter record set in 2007.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration records go back to 1880.
