Re: [MBZ] Car Data
For whatever reason, I've never been able to get the US version to work. I've tried it on different computers, with different credit cards, etc. and never had it work. I've probably been banned. Nearly everything in the online EPC can be found elsewhere if you look hard enough. I have a DAS diagnostic system, so the EPC and WIS is a part of it, so it's a moot point for me. Re: [MBZ] Car Data
I'm using both Vista and Windows 7, at home (work blocks the Java connection to servers not on a white list, I think). Need to have current Java installed and set up correctly. Mac is not supported. Sometimes a Java update will kill it until the EPC developers catch up, may take a month or longer. Choice is to roll back Java or do without EPC. -- Max Dillon Charleston SC '87 300TD '95 E300 On March 10, 2015 8:50:17 AM EDT, Dan Penoff via Mercedes mercedes@okiebenz.com wrote: For whatever reason, I've never been able to get the US version to work. Re: [MBZ] Car Data
Now available without using the sketchy Russian web sites: http://mercedes-benz-teile.info Dan Do you know what year it starts working? I get No Datacard Available for 1966. That is the only number I have memorized. I remember the serial number of my BMW and my BMWMOA member number are very close. So close I have to look and verify each time. It does not like the 1980 240D either. I'll try the 81 240D when i look up the VIN. It is a WDB not a 123.123.10 Maybe it does not like the typ number, and only works with WDB VIN numbers. That would leave out a lot of grey market cars like the 230TE wagon we had. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
