Huh. I just picked that property at random. I saw it had no HOA or zoning restrictions, so I figured I'd post it as an example. Not sure what building codes would be on a pole building. I figure you could put up a pole building and build an air conditioned and heated shop in the building. Maybe set up another area in the building as a spray booth. Just brainstorming. You will retire from your present career at some point. If property values drop in the coming year, you could conceivably have a man cave 20 minutes away for under $50-70k. Just a thought. Plant City doesn’t have the flies. Mosquitos at certain times of the year, maybe. It does make me wonder, though, if the HOA stuff that’s so pervasive around here is a reaction to the seemingly random and often disparate types of dwellings that adjoin each other in the unincorporated parts of the county. Probably my favorite example is the guy who owns the local country club. He lives in an expansive mansion with the requisite lane lined with oak trees for the whole length. Probably a good 10 acres or more. This is smack dab in the middle of a bunch of 1960s ranch homes that completely surround the place. As I mentioned previously, in the area around Plant City where that piece of property is located it would not be unusual to have a very nice $400k-$500k modern home with neighbors in trailers, junk cars and boats, etc., on either side.
