I know and love Vancouver/Granville Island. Picked up some great inuit soapstone (greenstone) carvings a decade ago at a tourist shop on Granville IS that have probably doubled in value. The whale, walrus and bear carvings are my favorites. Since then have acquired shark and otter carvings on ebay and some ptarmigan and assorted older art from shops in Winnipeg. Very hard habit to break... On Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 2:01 AM, Rick Knoble via Mercedes mercedes@okiebenz.com wrote: Clay writes: I am willing to deliver any list member a car they acquire out west. I departed Orlando on a Saturday afternoon, spent a goodly portion of the next day in Ashville, NC, then headed west on long day drives. I was held up in SLC for most of a day, but still made it home in time for lunch Thursday. The drive east on I-90 took six days because I had to stop at a place of interest at least once each day for the navigator (10yr old #1 boy) to get some learning. Mt. Re: [MBZ] Plant Amnesty
Well if Andrew wants to 'nap a kid, he can take two weeks of his gen'rus gummit vacation to do the trip in 6 days out and 6 days back, and a couple days there to sightsee. Boeing plants are cool, as are the related musei. Then there is the Granville Island market in vancouver. Better than that piddly thing in seattle that's overrun by kollyfornyuns.
