Re: [MBZ] Tire Shop Recommendation in WDC Area
I did, and could have suffered the same fate as you. Turns out one of the tires I rotated from rear to front had lived on the rear axle too long, and the inside edge had worn down to the belts in one spot about three inches long, and a separation had started. Had a good spare, paid shop to balance all four, and back on the road about 60 minutes later. New tires are on the agenda... -Max -Original Message- From: mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com [mailto:mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com] On Behalf Of R A Bennell Sent: Thursday, November 04, 2010 12:30 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List Subject: Re: [MBZ] Tire Shop Recommendation in WDC Area Do get them checked. Cracker Barrel at I-95 and US 264W (alternate) near Wilson may work best for you; short, direct access off of and back onto I-95. At Selma, on down 95, the access is a little more complicated - not directly beside 95. Either one OK for me; Wilson maybe better. 'Take me about 30 min to either one.
