Thank you for the feedback.

And I hope you can make sense of the stuff you got from your download...
(By now, that's just an experiment, trying to make the stock items more
readily available. They really ought to be better integrated in the gui
& ide interfaces, I think.  And there's an accompanying "project", name
"stockbutton[.zip]" providing a list of these items - intended to be
integrated into the ide object inspector, perhaps, later. When I may
have found out how this could be done.)

That's bad behaviour on the side ot github, I think - they really
should allow for amendments if need be.
But anyway, now it's corrected, and no one should have to wonder any
more what the version REALLY is. No damage done, I hope, and for me, I
don't mind the label if the contents please.

OK, I deleted release 5.6.10 and recreated it, so now the zip-source file is 
from last commit of main with updated readme.txt.

I am always stressed while publishing a release, having lot of thing to check.
Of course, check and update the readme/log.txt and rgh, I forgot to do it, 
so I cannot be sorry, I am stupid.

And once you click on button "Publish", it is too late, the release is there, 
github sent annuncement, etc...

Well, yes, I'm afraid your statement of "almost" is applicable...
While the contents of the subdirectories are current, in fact identical
to the current "master" version, the desription files in the main
directory, README.TXT, VERSION.TXT and readme.md, all still only
mention version 5.6.8 as the current one, i.e. they were NOT UPDATED.

Are you talking about the zip file of source in bottom of the release page?

Yes, I know, I have seen it yesterday, I updated main but of course the zip 
source file is still the one from date of the release.
That zip-source file is automatically created by github when you create the 
release and take the last source of main of the day.

I fair that I have to delete the release 5.6.10 and recreate it so the zip 
source file will be updated.

Aaaarghh.

This took me some time, mostly because of the intense (non-)"help" from
my provider. (Somewhat understandable though, because I'm using the
cheapest tariff they offer.)
Anyway, after quite some experimenting, even building a cgi script to
prepare a directory listing for a web page, it seems I found the reason
for the problem. It probabely was just a  newly "outlawed" web option
that triggered the server to balk. But it might also have been the
nesting depth of the directory, which I had to move up one level.
After all, the web page SHOULD be accessible again, although now under
a new subdirectory, not "downlod/ms" any more, but "download_mse" now,
mind the underscore ("_") in the name.
If you get to try it, I would be glad if you provide a notice of the
result, whether you had successs or not.

(BTW, I just downloaded your new release and will install it
"immediately".).

I dont know if benchmarks are better for msegui vs lazarus but what I am sure 
is that Lazarus is dependent of outside-widgedset like GTK and this widgetset 
is full of bug, crash application with no possibility to debug, for audio 
applications (deeply tested), has a much worst latency that msegui, the binary 
for same result is much bigger, needs much more memory, etc, ...

What I am sure too is that msegui is the best widgetset ( comparing with 
"tenor" like GTK, Qt, Carbon, ...) and is full Pascal.


