We (Win 7 J) only add our 4 language packs, office with LP, .net, HF, patches etc. I re-create the image every month to include the newest MS updates. It partially depends upon if you are walking Windows 7 or Windows 10. The ISOs are the VL site aren’t current for Win 10. They are updated typically when a version goes CBB (not sure what will happen in the future now that CBB is no longer a thing though). It’s of course quite easy to update them using DISM or offline servicing. I still recommend a build and capture though to add things like the VC++ Runtimes. I’ve got a blog I’m preparing on creating a Windows 7 image as there are still a lot of folks using Win 7.
