That's the same version I have in my MSX (The same guys who cracked, the sam crack intro sequence), and I know there's a trick to make it work, but I can't remember. Or, anyone there with a working version of American Soccer (And the one in M.E.P. is not American Soccer, it's a Mah Jong game) Well... You could have considered of course to send me an e-mail so I could correct it. If you see a mistake like this on my site, why don't you simply tell me? I can probably fix this a lot faster then Funet. But then somebody has to tell me Is it really that hard? I more and more het the idea that people love to download all the games and stuff from my site, but if they actually have to do something in return, even if it is very very small, they are too lazy to do so. I still have hundreds of games here, some even very rare and hard to find games. But things like this take away my drive to actually add them to the site... Arnaud -- Visit the MEP. Re: Zanac on MSX2 Emulators
Hello! Zanac or Zanac-ex? Zanac-EX displays fine on fmsx-dos in a dos bos with -msx2 option, maybe you have a corrup ROM or something... greetx, Zanac, not Zanac-ex! I'm sure my copy is not corrupted since it was dumped from the original cartridge. Furthermore, it works OK with MSX1 emulation, and also it works fine when loading it with LOADROM on my MSXTurboR :) Greetings, Jose Angel Morente ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) *MSX DREAMS* ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Visit MSX Warau Home Page http://msxjam.web.com msxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsxmsx MSX Mailinglist. Re: Akanbe Dragon and American Soccer
Hola Rafael, Is Akanbe Dragon compatible with emulators? Both versions I downloaded in the net didn't work, but I heard someone have a version that works. Can The version I have seems to work properly on MSXturboR, but it hangs up on both fMSX and BrMSX. Maybe it manage interrupts in a non-standard way and it causes emulators to crash. cracked, the sam crack intro sequence), and I know there's a trick to make it work, but I can't remember. Or, anyone there with a working version of American Soccer (And the one in M.E.P. is not American Soccer, it's a Mah Jong game) My version of American Soccer works fine on BrMSX. I'll send to you via private e-mail. Re: Zanac on MSX2 Emulators
Does anybody know why does Zanac show corrupted graphics on main title if it is run on BrMSX or fMSX with the -msx2 option? This is a bug in the emulation of the interrupt handler. BrMSX has two different interrupt pipelines for MSX-1 and MSX-2. In the MSX-1 mode this bug was alrady fixed, so if you want to play Zanac without bugs, just use "brmsx zanac.rom" and forget about the -msx2. I'm still working on the MSX-2 mode, so do not expect the same level of quality in MSX-2 as you have in MSX-1. I see. By the way, I noted that MSX1 emulation is really fast! MSX2 emulation is very slow on my 486 DX4/100, but it's not problem because I use BrMSX as debugging tool mainly. To play I prefer my MSXTurboR (^_^) As a rule of thumb, always run MSX-1 games in MSX-1 mode on BrMSX. Ok, so I will do. Thank you for your help. games
hi all.. how many dudes @ msx-land are still producing msx-games nowadays ? I think a major problem in the old days was the small teams.. 2 coders, 1 gfx, 1 music is pretty small.. and the risk that a game is cancelled/delayed was most of the time due to the coders going to uni / pc . Isn't it a cute idea to make a game engine (preferably an RPG engine) here in this list ? :) (not 1 coder but 20.. 30.. 40... by sharing sources ) This application includes trigger stuff for auto-sprite-movement, story-demo's, items, doors etc. Finally any person could make a complete game by only adjusting some design-files. (NO changes in the executable!), add gfx, add music, add story and done! idea ? :) Maarten van Strien, * composer * sounddesigner * Ixalance-sound developer - http://www.shortcut.nl/ mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - Shortcut Software Development B.V. Re: games
Hey Maarten, At 16:29 19-5-00 +0200, you wrote: how many dudes @ msx-land are still producing msx-games nowadays ? Hmm. the exact number of game coders have just left my brain... :) I don't know. I think a major problem in the old days was the small teams.. 2 coders, 1 gfx, 1 music is pretty small.. and the risk that a game is cancelled/delayed was most of the time due to the coders going to uni / pc . Yeah. Or nowadays they're just gonna make a world trip for about 2 years, so the game is totally forgotten. Isn't it a cute idea to make a game engine (preferably an RPG engine) here in this list ? :) (not 1 coder but 20.. 30.. 40... by sharing sources ) It's a good idea. In this case, everybody can learn from each other as well. I'm working on an universal installation program which can be use by all, as it has the possibillity of including some kind of copy protection. This application includes trigger stuff for auto-sprite-movement, story-demo's, items, doors etc. Finally any person could make a complete game by only adjusting some design-files. (NO changes in the executable!), add gfx, add music, add story and done! I have a feeling we will get many of the same type of game like RPG's or arcade. We should make some libraries in which a game type is represented or something... idea ? :) A very good one, let's see what develops...
