So, what do you guys think? Will the list still be used in the future? And where do people go these days for their MSX news? Re: About the new CF Sunrise cart
Hi, all Yes, some people I know bought it on the fair in Tilburg last April. Works nice, have allready bought several different CF-cards... Anybody tried a CF Hard Disk? Made some suggestions to Sunrise, why not make a combination of IDE (hardisk) and CF-Card... You can use an IDE interface and the IDE-to-CF adapter. Use an IDE cable for 2 harddisks and connect the real harddisk to one connector and the IDE-to-CF adapter to the other connector. The IDE-to-CF connector works on PC as well, by the way. I have a Sharp Zaurus PDA and I was able to mount my CF card (256MB) on my Linux desktop without a problem. The filesystem is VFAT, so it will work in Windows as well. With Fat 16 you can go until 2Gb=2000Mb the same than a IDE Hard Disk. -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html

Re: Just a question...
Hi I think that none, Com port uses +12V and MSX game port uses +5V, but you can connect it to parallel port, so you can connect msx parallel port to pc parallel and connect it using 8 bits, i make this and pass real time captured video with a philips 8280 to a PC. but only a frame per second, 256x212 pixel. I think this is nearly 56kbyte / second, with game port i think you can send 56kbit / second. In a interrupt (1 second /50) you can send 1k bit = 128 byte. This try is make with a protocol that wait an ack before send another bit/byte it´s posible eliminate this wait and multiplicate the speed but comunication it isn´t as secure. Sorry for this embarrasing / bad english message. At 01:02 25/09/2001 +0200, you wrote: Okay... I've got a question... ehmz. How many bytes could I send approximately in one interrupt by using a serial cable (com port on PC and joystick on MSX)? Just by making a little program on MSX that keeps checking for data... I'm not a hardware guy, but I have an idea, and I just am curious how much can be sent over a serial cable... thnx. d-fader -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html
