BTW, this is not the expected behaviour for sure. Couple of points that come to my
mind. 1. Set the compatibility level of the database to 80 ie the 2000 version. 2.
See if you have installed the latest service packs, as tons of performance and
security related issues have been fixed. 3. Check if there are no aliases in the Net
libraries. HTH, Vinod Kumar MVP, SQL Server

Hi,

Try this
If u r using a proxy, then this can be a firewall problem. Probably try using a
gateway. i.e. the machine from where u r connecting should be not accessing net via a
proxy. rather a direct machine. even a machine with a dial-up connection would do. and
then try registering sql server of the ip that u want to use.

I faced the same prob. this solved it.

Best Luck

like below Dim oSess As Mapi.Session Dim oMsg As Mapi.Message Dim
oRecipTo As Mapi.Recipient Dim oRecipCC As Mapi.Recipient Dim oSess as Object
'Create an object of Session. Set oSess = CreateObject(Mapi.Session) 'Log on to the

Hi nitin, You can also bind the DataGrid to an ArrayList. A feature of the ArrayList
is that it can contain objects of multiple types, but the DataGrid can only bind to
such a list when all items in the list are of the same type as the first item. This
means that all objects must either be of the same type, or they must inherit from the
same class as the first item in the list.Check out this link from MSDN..

Thanks Ajay for the clarification. However i am from Windows Application Back ground
and Recently started working with Web application. I Had few Doubts.(bit general)
I come across people who have worked on ASP majorly and now when they work with
ASP.NEt still they prefer to have that old fashioned style of to much of inline
Scripting(using less of Validation control)..also avoid Event driven Prog.(for eg.
Instead of using Server Button Control for saving the filled form. They would Submit
the form with Hidden item and Then as per the Hidden value decide upon the operation
Of saving the record) May be I am not very clear. But what i mean is. How much is
Validation controls and Event driven for server control thing (say for Add/EDit/Delete
operations) used at industrial level after advent oF ASP.NEt Thanks Nitin Mekhiya

Nitin,

What I have personally found is that if U R new to the Web Technology area, it's
better for you to get on to ASP.NET, 'coz that way, U don't compare it to old ASP and
right-away start thinking in terms of the new ASP.NET event-driven model.

It's a human tendancy to not let go what U already know. That's why ASP.NET still has
all the features that ASP did, and much more. It's only a matter of time before you
get to know the new features and start using them. :-)

Same for Validation controls. Also, one other major reason why many are hesitant to
use these Validation controls is 'coz many a times, they don't work properly on non-IE
browsers.

HTH.

Regards,

Ajay Singala.
