Right now I have no other idea than, mark: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-1344 as BLOCKER and add -J-Djdk.gtk.version=2.2 to the default command line parameters. It improves the UI on GTK+ LAF a lot, however still not perfect. It is going to be in 10.0 VC2. This is probably the time to ask: for those of you who encountered issues when testing, what do you consider to be the most serious issues? But issues may persist from version to version. If an issue was raised against 9 and it's still there in 10, it's still valid. Most of the issues I just went through and removed were marked "resolved fixed" in the old Bugzilla several years ago. > Maybe this is more of a JIRA topic that can be discussed and recorded for > those of us who are in different time zones? Testers should not only go through the test cases, but look at existing issues to see if they're still valid. I ran across some from the old Bugzilla that were still open or had been re-opened. There should probably be a discussion about whether to re-enter those as bugs in JIRA. -- Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) "After the vintage season came the aftermath -- and Cenbe." - To unsubscribe, e-mail: netcat-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: netcat-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists

Basically I was just asking in general what to do with the existing JIRA which is documented on a previous NetBeans release. More specifically, "resolve" or "close"? By April of 2019 will anyone care about the JIRA bug documented against NetBeans 9? I will be thinking to myself.. should I resolve or close this or wait... It may still be a problem on a different environment. Who decides what is resolved and when? To me, it seems like the issue should be resolved or closed against the same code base used when the bug was filed. Since I don't keep up with the DEV side of NetBeans, maybe I should be, I don't know what has changed that would give me a passing test case in 10.0-vc1 (which would help me to know what to do with the JIRA). Ultimately, I don't want to document issues and then hope someone else figures them out. Maybe this is more of a JIRA topic that can be discussed and recorded for those of us who are in different time zones? Or put some NetCAT JIRA guidelines on the wiki? > The old NetBeans Bugzilla had > lots of stale issues, so let's keep our shiny new Apache JIRA tidy :) > > -- > Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) > "After the vintage season came the aftermath -- and Cenbe." > > - >
RE: Verification for new PHP signature files
Everyone, I'm using NETBEANS 9.x and after she sits idle for a few hours, it hangs. I make a change and click SAVE and the IDE just sits there, doesn't resolve the save and I have to shut down the IDE. The garbage collection indicator isn't above 650.xx. When I open NBs 8.2x, the file I tried to save, has only a couple characters that I had typed as NBs 9.0 tried to save upon hanging. 8.2 seems stable and but the garbage collection gets up to 1400+ at times. When I click multiple times on that indicator, in both 8.2 and 9.0, nothing happens except that both IDES (8.2 is faster), lock up until the indicator value drops to a reasonable value. Thoughts?
