[Nighthawk Lovers] Re: My "perfect" 93 750NH just died!
http://www.amazon.com/Lear-Chemical-ACF50-Anti-Corrosion-Lubricant/dp/B000P1C8UO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top I had a(n almost) perfect metal flake blue 93 750 and it was doing funky things with the electronics. It was either start replacing controls, etc... or spray this stuff in controls and let it dry over a couple of days. IT WORKED! Your controls on handlebar need this stuff to work after 20 years: or mine did and many others did from my forum research. Don't take anything apart. You don't need to. It's NASA space age stuff made for electronics (and NH 750 handlebar and ignition controls.) In a couple of days you'll crack a wide ass grin and think about the $300 of handlebar and ignition controls you saved plus labor - no small thing in exchange for $25 shipped with tax spray that will last a like time (every 20 years, lol.) Thanks guys. I located the solenoid. Can it be checked by jumping between pos and neg terminals on it like I would on a car? Can anyone describe how to get the solenoid out if I need to replace it? YEs, I can be shorted that way, but it scares he crap out of me every time I try. If it is mounted like the 700 and 650, two nuts, remove the washers, and let out of the rubber boot it sits in. Unhook the battery first unless you are less of a p*ssy than I am. Sounds like your battery went bad. I think 16 volts is a bit too high for a healthy battery. You should be able to get it tested in autozone or some other place like that. Javier. I rechecked main fuse, it's ok. I even tried a new fuse. I keep battery on Battery Tender. Battery is showing 16 volts. When I turn the key on, tester shows -0.1 volts. What does that mean? Is that normal? I'm electrically impaired so I don't understand. On Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 8:21:03 PM UTC-5, Bart wrote: > > Hi guys. I have a brand new after market solenoid I would be willing to send but is for a 700, but may work. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group. RE: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: My "perfect" 93 750NH just died!
Did the "click" come from the battery area? Could be your solenoid. Anyone in your area who could help with testing the power continuity from the batt to the solenoid, then solenoid to headlight wiring harness?
