Is there a document that explains the rationale behind keeping a separate
staging area ? I don't understand nixos fully and it looks like it would be
more work than keeping the unstable channel to master.

Systemd 227 has been buggy at shutdown / restart for me, sometimes failing
to unmount some if the mount points. It doesn't happen on every restart so
ill have to see if i can find the cause. Just be careful rebooting remote
machines.

from what have tested it works for my services. and i would love to get systemd
227 :)

At this moment I see we have binaries only for ~10k packages on master
and ~9k packages on staging, so the difference isn't that bad.

It's ok for me except that then people won't have ready binaries for
master, which is what staging was meant for. Hopefully master will build

Staging and master are not building because of eval error:

error: access to path
‘/nix/store/x15ndrygbhxl7vaaxxq4b6f5wjmh4j96-nix-1.9pre4087_afa433e’ is
forbidden in restricted mode

Let's wait a few days until the bug is fixed (even if you merge staging
master won't evaluate).
