OK . The BE with errors still with errors . The new BE, after trying to import the pool with missing log device, is working . So, I will change the default BE . Like all others msg with this error in all forums, this problem have no solution . To finish it, someone can direct me to a doc about how to change default BE ? The possible scenario would be a server to hold Audio and Video files in a Video/Audio editing facility, with 10 GB network in/out, and 12 8 TB hard disks in Raid Z2, 2 256GB SSD to ZIL, no ARC, 128 GB RAM . Hi to all I've just installed OmniOS on a Supermicro Motherboard with a DOM device for boot . It is working fine, no issues ... But, the 64GB DOM has just 9GB of space left Can I delete something ( temp files, compacted installed packages, etc ) to free some space ? Thanks everyone ... Turns out the issue was Hard Disks ! All of them ! This system belongs to a mining company, and in the last month they made several deep explosions . Even some windows glasses have been blown out, and nobody cared to say that to me ... Problem solved . System will need to be rebuild from scratch using backups . Competely lost here ... Found what command replaced the "zfs_vdev_max_pending" , and it make no difference ! Hi to all Got something here, and I have no idea what it can be ! Supermicro motherboard and chassis . LSI 2008 with IT firmware . Evething was working fine till yesterday . 2 years and a half ! Then, the performance goes terrible down . read/white from 5 to 8 MB/s sinse day one . Now is is in the Kb !!! none of the hard disks shows any error or warning . smart OK in all . I cannot find anything wrong, but there are something ... How can I figure it out ?? After a long day trying to flash this card, I entered in it's own utility, and ti identifies itself as SAS1064E-IR, even if all printed ithe board says is is a 3041 . Hi to all Finaly I got my hands in this card, an LSI SAS3041e-HP http://mlb-s1-p.mlstatic.com/lsi-3041e-hp-4-portas-pci-e-3gbs-sas-sata-2-raid-low-prof-16467-MLB20121375810_072014-O.jpg But Omni are not recognising any disk connected to it ! Linux does . So the card are working, its bios shows-up during boot . Must be Bios/firmware related . But I do not find anything in the "unraid" sites about this card . The chip are not exactly the same, mine are ASM 1061, and I am not experiencing any error, but the only disk connected to this card are a Samsung 256GB SSD that are working as ZIL . During my research I found in several forums a warning about BIOS version, but all users saying it were from Windows world . Anyway, my card already comes with the up to date BIOS . And I did not saw anything about the ASM1062 chip, only about the ASM 1061 chip, so I do not know if the bios issue can apply to your case . Sorry if I cannot be more useful ... In the netgear 10 GB switch ( very good by the way !!! ) create the LACP with all defaults . In OmniOS I did this : dladm add-aggr -d ixgbe0 -d ixgbe1 1 ipadm create-addr -T static -a 192.168.1.20/24 aggr1/v4 dladm modify-aggr -L active -T short 1 My netwotk card are Intel, and the IP for this OmniOS box are 192.168.1.10 And now, finaly it is up and running ... Hi to all I do not know if this is an off-topic, if it is, just inform me ... I will thank anyway .. I just received a follow-up from Netgear support in subject to a new 10GB switcher connecting to a Solaris box ( OmniOS naturaly, 151006 ) using LACP that is not working ( but works perfectly in another Cisco Switcher ) . They asked me to change from LACP to LAG1 , and I have no idea what they talking about ! Someone knows what is LAG1 ?!? And mostly, how to set it up ? [OmniOS-discuss] LACP on netgear switcher
Hi to all I am trying to setup an LACP with 2 ports on a 10 GB Netgear switcher, and it is not working ! The switcher works on 1GB ant 10GB rates, and with Linux hosts the link agregation works fine, so it is not something wrong in the switcher itself . My former switrch was a Cisco with 8 ports, and I need more ports, so I get a brand new netgear with 24 1G/10G . The link comes up, but no trafic comes in or out ... [OmniOS-discuss] PCIe slot do not work
Hi to all I have a system running OmniOS on this board : http://www.supermicro.com/Aplus/motherboard/Opteron6000/SR56x0/H8SGL-F.cfm The problem, I have to add a 10 GB network card, and the system do not recognize anything plugged in any other slot than the slot 3 ( the one more distant from CPU ) . This slot already contain the LSI2008 . It is OmniOS, if I boot the same board with Linux ( Ubuntu Live ) all cards connected in all PCIe slots works fine . If I plug the PSL2008 in any other slot, OmniOS do not recognize any of the HD connected to it . I am running stable ... Anyone have some issue like this ? How can I solve it ?? Hi to all First, thanks a lot for the product, it is realy great ! My question now : Is there any way to make a graphical statsics od ZFS performance ? I have some botleneck in my sistem ( OminOS V 0.9a9 Nightly mar 04 2013 + Napp-it ) that I can not identify ... It stores all VMs in a Proxmox Cluster with 5 nodes and 14 mixed VMs ( 3 W2K12 Server, 2 Win7Pro and all others Linux Debian or Ubuntu ) . There are a 10 GB switcher to interconnect all nodes and Storage . Almost all aplications are running fine and fast . The exception are a Debian running Oracle 11G . Hi to all I just installed a SAS card from Intel, the driver installed with no errors nor warnings, but when I reboot the system this msg appears in console : imr_sas has no quiesce ixgbe has no quiesce And the boot process never ends ... login never appears ... What it can be ?? ixgbe are the 10 GB net card, and this msg never appeared before the sas driver installation ... The hardware are Supermicro single Opteron . I intend to bind both embedded network port to talk with a dedicated switcher with the nodes ... So I need another network card top use to manage the OminOS . To that task I get a D-Link DGE-528T ( based on Realtek 8169S ) . But OmniOS do not recognise this card ! There are a way to workaround it ?? Or I will need to get another card ? I just have PCI slots available in this system, all PCIe slots are fulfilled with SATA cards ...
